68WebMoneyTraining.com RIPPED me off
I boldly admit that I was one of those (maybe thousands, I’m not sure how many) who was scammed by this company who’s phone number is 1-800-416-1339. Out of my desire to try an online how to make money, this was what I got. I went to this page and their website welcomed and promised me money making secrets and formulas. I was deceived by their sugar coated explanations and so I tried their 30-day trial risk free membership fee of $1.97. But what they sent were tons of redundant information leading me to nothing at all. And these information were already on the internet and Youtube. To make matters worse, they overdrew my account of $68.00. I just discovered it this morning when I checked my account. When i asked their customer service, they explained that it was payment for not contacting them within the 7 day trial period. But actually, WebMoneyTraining told me that I could try their system in 30 days not 7 days. It's a scam. I hope this article is read earlier by those who are planning to make money on the internet. I hope my warning is not too late for thousands of innocent internet users who would like to benefit from the web. And if ever any of you are planning to make money online, I advice that you do a thorough investigation before transacting any business to whoever promises fast money making secrets or formula on the internet. Be careful.

I WAS ALSO TAKEN BY WEBMONEYTRAINING.COM AS I WAS NOT INFORMED TO A $69.00 MONTHLY CHARGE AND WAS DEBITED AND HAD BANK CHARGES TO PAY AS WELL.I REPORTED THIS UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE TO THE BBB AND THE INTERNET CRIME CENTER, I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS TO RESEARCH FARTHER INTO INTERNET SCAMS AS THIS ONE LOOKS TO BE FOR REAL.THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM AND A RIPP OFF.
For real guys? There is a decent sized box on the lower right-hand side of the main page labled "Terms & Conditions" that clearly says if you dont cancel after the 7 day tril you will be billed $69 a month membership fee until you cancel. I decided not to try this program simply because of that. But to say they "scammed" you because you didnt read the T&C, comeon!
For real my ass thiz company is sleazy and you probably work for them, i signed up on a completely different scam page. how you know what i read? please use caution folks these people are slimmy
They got me too. I should have read the fine print.
Too good to be true.
I was charged 1.97+ 69.97 which was not given permission to which draw from my account by webmoneytraining.I was never sent any paper work at all.
I did not receive anything from them and when I called the hangup on me.
I too was just taken by them and when I called them to dispute the charges they would hang up on me.I never got the info in the mail and was charged the 1.97 and 69.97 from my account.
I just got ripoff on it too. It take $69.97 on my account and when i call back to try to have my moneys back they give me this bullshitt number and it never pick up. the number is 877-847-4005. If anyone know how to get there $69.97 back please let me know. Vupham27@hotmail.com
Dammmm Assholes!!! They overdrew my account tooo, and got hit with heavy fees because of it....Anyone who is thinking about doing that money making thing..DONT!!!!
It has now come to the U.K. Ihave been charged TWICE for a "TRIAL" (which i never got,and less than two weeks later they have taken £45 out of my account! BEWARE AND BE AWARE!!!
me too, me too...what a bummer. i'll need to avoid any more late night internet bad decision making. :(
the only way to get the moneys back is calling your banks and said that you have been scams.. and hopefully the understand. Never do this again..
Apparently I'm a member of the club too. I was taken the same way everyone else was. My credit card company sent an e-mail telling me of some suspsious charges on my account. When I checked it I found the 1.97 & 69.?? charges. I could'nt remember anything about a co. by that name, but after reading your stories I do remember signing up for a 30 day trial for about $2. I sure as hell don't remember anything about $69.00 after 7 days. How's it supposed to be a 30 day trial if they charge you $69 after 7 days? Explain that Mr Hunt. I never received anything either
They got me too!
I had the same thing happen to me I ordered from Alternative funding $1.97 same place on 8/21/09 I canceled the same day when I read I would be charged 29.00 a month. I got a confirmation number and was told no problem on 8/28/09 1 week later at 11:45 pm web-training charged my account $69.97 this was a friday night on saturday morning I checked my account and saw this charge I called they are closed on the weekend so I e-mailed them and on monday morning I called them to cancel an account I never wanted and my bank .. they closed my account on monday on tuesday I went to my bank filed a dispute on my account got my money back on wednesday . they are very sneaky and if I had waited I would have been out of luck DON"T FALL FOR THIS CRAP read the fine print very carefully

They got me too. $1.97 + 69.97
Hey Mike Hunt!!! Take your FOR REAL GUYS??? and your fine print and stick it where the sun doesn't shine!! This company takes your money IMMEDIATELY!!! They don't wait the 7 days that they are LEGALLY supposed to wait ACCORDING TO THE FINE PRINT!!! They took the $1.97 AND the $69.97 on the SAME DAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING EACH TRANSACTION. They overdrew my account and then caused a domino affect with my checking account. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get my money back and get the same lame nonsense that everyone on this site has experienced. All I was trying to do was help bring in a little extra money in the hard economical times that my family is experiencing. Companies like this make me sick when they hurt innocent people trying to make ends meet!
We are trying to increase trust on the net but these kind of demons prevent trust from growing on the net which is essential in doing business here.
All has an end and WebMoneyTraining just ended their carrer on the net. People on the net will stay away from them.
Thanks Ruthann for the comment.
Ruthanne good luck I was lucky I canceled five minutes after I signed up and they still tried to get me for 69.97 my bank helped they went after them and I got my money back I had to cut up my debit card and get a new one but it was worth it if I hadn't done that they could have still tried to charge my account their looking to screw people I hope you get your money back keep fighting
Everyone is right! This company is a SCAM who preys on people. I never received the materials, and the charge came through prior to 7 days, even if I saw some "fine print." I had to call my bank and have them change my card number in order to stop these charges. This is rediculous since we are all being scammed when all we are trying to do is support our families. Shame on companies like Good Morning America that post articles on this company!
I too have had my account charged without my knowledge. I had never received any of the material. Originally I was led to the site by a posting on a friends Facebook page, I subsequently learned that his account was HACKED. After vigorously complaining I received an email stating that my "membership" had been canceled. Also my account has been credited $69.97.
The company did respond and corrected the error.
I too signed up for this opportunity. Though I paid the $1.97, I was able to call and cancel. The operator tried to get me to call later to cancel, I told her no and she did it right away. I received a cancellation number and an email containing my cancellation.
I was surprised also to find the $69.95 out of my account. I DID Read the fine print Mr. REALLY however, they took the money out of my account too soon so I am currently overdrawn. I called to complain and I now have an all access for one full year at no charge. I think you should bit** a little harder to get your money back. I also got my $69.95 back. Write your congressman and see what happens then. Good Luck all.
They got me too and the web page I signed up from doesn't even mention the parent company. I was suppose to get a kit in the mail but instead I got screwed. They claimed I should have received an email but I never received anything.
Oh i read the fine print and i signed up and that same day i canceled. So don't say i didn't read the fine print. It was a free trial and they would only charge you for the 1.47 for a booklet they would be sending you. When i can canceled they sent me a confirmation # as well as stating they would not charge my account any further after the free trial period. Well low and behold they charged me 2 weeks later for 69.97 and every 2 weeks kept taking 29.95 out of my account as well as 1.47 in following.I caught it after they took 135.00 from and reported as fraud to my bank and they taking steps now to follow up with the case as well re issuing me a new card. I will be follow up with the BBB. THEY DO NOT STATE ALL THAT IN FINE PRINT!!!
Thanks Michelle for courageously sharing us your experience with these scoundrels. I hope you'll share the warning to other people who's honestly looking for ways to earn money through the internet but sadly fall victims to swindlers like WebMoneyTraing.Com.
Hey, They got me too !!! Too bad I didnt see this site before I was stupid enough to believe this crap !!! I cannot beleive I fell for this. They billed me only 6 days later and I never recieved anything. When I called she told me that I should have called and told them I never received anything, and It was too late. However It stated shipping could be 5-10 days???? What a rip off. I was finally able to speak to "Sara" who said it was her sole job to do refunds and told me I would get one... we will see. If they wouldnt be so sneaky and try to rip people off and put there billing practices in plain site they could save money because "Sara" wouldnt have a job !!!!!!! RIP OFF !!!!!!!!!
Yeah! I did call them and they promised to refund me. I didn't believe every word they promised me. Why would I? They are so good at lying. I just feel bad they got you too Jennifer.
Just another update, I called my credit card holder and asked them to not let these people have anymore money, they said they cannot block it, but since I called them and told them they are no longer authorized to take money, and called and let the credit card no also, that they will go after the money if they decide to take more out. Also, the $1.47 charge I think, is the Alternative Funding? I guess when you sign up for one, you get the other. Im not sure if we need to cancel both, but I did their # is 1-800-994-4164. Hope this helps someone else !!
Thank you so much Jennifer for your time in writing your comment and updating us what to do to protect our hard-earned money from further being taken by WebMoneyTraining.
By the way, if you are not yet a member of HubPages, I invite you to register. They could help you start in making money online.
Oh No! I was hopeing that this was just a mistake. I tried calling the number provided and the darn thing isnt even ringing and I tried to send something to customer service and that didnt go through either.. I never was told about the $69.97 charge. Or I never would have signed up. And on top of that I have recieved NOTHING in the mail from them. Have you guys figured out any way to get your money back? And do they keep charging you month after month? How do I stop this?????
I'm sorry for you Jeannette. What you can do is to file a claim at your bank and they will investigate for you. It's the least you can do. But regarding getting a refund is next to impossible. I already did talk to the customer service at WebMOneyTraining and they promised me a refund in 5 to 7 business days but it's almost a month now since I've talked to them but no refund has been deposited to my account.
I hope you could help me spread the word about this company. They are a scam and I hope they won't get to others as they have gotten to us.
hi guys WebMoneyTraing.com i just sign up to them like 2 weeks ago and i cancel it before 7 days. i recieve a confirmation letter from email saying that my cancellation has been made. and now sept. 22, 2009 im checking my emails and found the Moneytraining ( the site that gives me username and password of that company ) i try to open it again using the old passsword and user name that they give me 2 weeks ago.. IT'S STILL WORKING!! IM WONDERING ARE THEY GONNA CHARGE ME FOR RE-OPENING THINS ACCOUNT WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION?? WELL I CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT THEY DIDNT TAKE $69.95 FROM MY ACCOUNT BUT... I SAW A $9 SOMETHING TAKE OUT FROM MY ACCOUT WHICH DONT KNOW WHAT COMPANY IS THIS TAKING WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.. I'M STILL INVETIGATING THIS... I'M GOING TO CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY TO MAKE SURE NO FEES TO RE-OPEN THIS. OR IF THERE'S I WILL CANCEL IT AGAIN. AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY NOT GOING TO TAKE THE $69.95 FROM MY ACCOUNT. BEWISE GUYS AND BEWARE...I'M STILL LOOKING FOR JOB FROM HOME!! ANYONE CAN RECOMMEND ME A JOB WHO TRY IT ALREADY AND NOT A SCAM?...PLS..HELP ME..
Hi, Donna. Thank you for sharing us your experience. And I'm glad they haven't taken that $69.95 from you. If you want to start a home business online, I recommend that you register with HubPages, then apply for a Adsense account with Google. I have also started reading about Adsense on books sold on the Amazon. There are a lot of books for sale on Amazon that could help us about home based online business. Choose which book to read and from there you could begin your business. Hope you become rich.
I went to check my c.c. acct. and discovered a deduction of $69.95 and $1.95. I contacted my card compony rep. and filed a complaint. The monies will be put back on my card and there looking 9into this ripoff scheme. They suggested i contact VBL (WEB MONEY TRAINING) and they tried to get personal information including my card # . PLEASE BEWARE After trying my name, address, and phone# he still couldn't find my supposed acct. He even found a different name connected to my phone
My story reads the same as all the above... after spending the past 3 hours on the phone, one person advised she was allowed to reimburse one payment, and other reimbursment would have to go through CSRegister.com (help forms)then fax to a given number... my instincts are telling me to kiss my money goodbye...... Hard to beleive that people can do this to other people.. makes me ashamed to be part of the "human race" at times.
What was even worse, another company, accessyourproduct.com sent me a bill of $29.95 immediately, which alerted me for a scam. I called the company to cancel but I did not realize that I should also call webmoneytraining.com to cancel as I thought they were the same company. As a result I got charged as the others, but my bank, Citibank, is helping me to get the money back. I will wait and see.
to crs agent could u please give me the email number as i have been getting charge and i have mailed them so many time and no one reply back the numebr they gave me is does not work as i am in uk could u please sent the email, i am a parent with two kids i do not have any money and i am getting charge all the times.
Hi Mona. I do advise you to inform your bank about what you purchased and the rest that you did not but was still charged from you will be refunded by your bank. It will be your bank who will be dealing with this company who is 100% SCAM.
A legitimate company in the internet let's you browse their website but a company who is established to swindle people of their money would not allow you to browse their website but instead would force you to provide your e-mail address. This is what WebMoneyTraining is doing. If they are honest and legitimate then why not let people take a peak qt what they will buy. But what they do is to trick people into immediately purchasing their product immediately. And if there is a fine print stating that they will deduct $69.95 after 7 days of not cancelling susbscription, it is written in size 6 font which is too small to notice and written in a color similar to the background making it more harder to notice and read.
To cut the story short. WEBMONEYTRAINING IS A 100% SCAM.

I to told me I would have 60 days brows the search the site but would not provide my e-mail and thay shortened my search and thats when I noticed the $69.95 charge on my account on the sixth day. Thay do not provide any contact info until the moneu clears and thay tell no one could have told me there was a 60 day FREE trial and there no refunds.
My husband canceled his membership within 10 hours. We received a cancellation email with a cancellation number. Two months later, charges from VBL Alternative Funding.com started showing up on our card. They would not honor the cancellation number. We called for 3 days straight and was finally transferred to another department, only to be hung up on twice. We were threatened with a poor credit rating, threatened that they would tell businesses not to work with us and threatened that our CC info would be sold to other companies, all for wanting to cancel our membership. We finally called the Attorney General for our state to report the incident as a scam and fraud. We have also finally received a refund. Be aware of anything associated with VBL Alternative Funding.
I just got ripped off also, I was wondering if anyone has brought this to the attention of the FTC (Federal Trade Commission ) and Bureau of Consumer Protection’s . This company needs to pay for what it has done and needs to be prosecuted by law. I need everyone's support in reporting this to the FTC and BCP, or this company is going to keep on operating and ripping off more individuals. Thanks for your support!
Just go to http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/
and file a complaint, it's listed on the tab below!
Please help me fight this company! THANK YOU!

guys, I was charged again by VBL alterfunds with phone no.800-5098479 Fl. My checking acct. was charged with $29.95 without my authorization. Oh no. They might also be doing this to you.I am going to the bank today to change my card number. I suggest that you do the same because they will keep on taking money from you. I already complained suspicious charges last month and it happened again this month. The bank sent me a letter that they will return me the amount and they will continue to investigate. But it happened again so I am going to the bank and I will finally change my card number.
Guys, I suggest that you change your card number.
WEBMONEYTRAINING is a company of the DEVIL.
I have had much the same problems, I was refunded £63+ last month only to find they have taken the same again this month I did speak to a member of the company last month when my credit card company put me through to there number but I will wait until monday to see if I can get my money back again !!!!
I'm so sad they did that too to you Jessie. I suggest that you change card number because you just don't know when they are going to charge you again. I called WebMoneyTraining too a month ago and they have promised to cancel my membership and refund me my money, but Jessie, I did not believe any word they told me. And true enough, I did not receive any refund, and the worse thing that happened is that I've been getting charges to my checking account for 2 times since I cancelled. Man, they are really SCAMMING a lot of people from their money.
I SUGGEST TO YOU GUYS TO CHANGE YOUR CARD NUMBER NOW. DON'T WAIT FOR WEBMONEYTRAINING TO CHARGE YOU AGAIN WHEN YOU HAVE ALREADY CANCELLED SERVICE FROM THEM.
Changing your card number will not guarantee they stop charging you. You have to cancel your account.
yeah, I already did cancel my account with them, but i got charged by VBL 2 more times (2 x $29.95) so I already changed my card number. And yes, they are really THIEVES.
Well I did cancel, but they kept on debiting my account, they are now under investigation, you can report them to whaselden@kamberedelson.com, his name is Will, it is a law firm, I believe you can get in on this class action law suit, I loved to take em down, I am on disability, and was really looking for work at home from google, wonder why they have not done anything?
Thanks Deborah. I'll check the website. I believe we have a chance in the law suit. Can't wait to get back at them...
I signed up for there trial and never received any thing, i kept waiting and waiting, i didn't know how i was going to receive it (email or snail mail)or how long it would take to process any thing but i figured that my trial would start when i first log in and then all of a sudden my bank told me I had overdrawn my account... i called web money training to find out why i had been charged the membership before i had my trial, i asked them to refund my $69 and re send my 7 day trial and only after i had my trial and desired if i liked it or not would i be willing to pay the membership fee,the man on the phone told me (in very bad English) that he would do what he could... instead of re sending my trial membership and re funding my money he canceled my account all together and when i called back to find out what had happened they said they couldn't do any thing because i was no longer a member and since i canceled my account they couldn't re send my trial or proses any of my requests at customer service because i was no longer a customer, they gave me a number i could call for a refund and then hung up... i called the number and waited in an automated line for about 10 min. till i got an answering machine that said it was full and then had an error and hung up, i called about 2 times a day for like 3-4 days getting the same 10 min. wait with nothing to show for it each time... so then i called back the customer service line and told them that i was not able to get a hold of anyone, after a lot of arguing i finally got to talk to a manager who offered me a year of service for my $69, but with all my overdraft fees it would really have cost me $100, finally after a lot more arguing she agreed to refund my money... i payed off my negative bank balance while waiting for my refund so i wouldn't wreck my credit and my bank said they would refund all my fines and overdraft fees if only when they refunded my membership... it has been about 2 months and i still have not reserved a thing... then i get a note from my bank that says i have overdrawn my account again with a $30 something charge to a company called alternative funding and when i called the company they told me that when i signed up for web money training i signed up for them too and the charge was for there monthly membership... now with these extra fees i have wasted about $200 with nothing to show for it, they too have agreed to refund my money but i haven't seen a cent from anyone... i am broke and don't have a job, my mom and boyfriend are having to help me with my bills, im trying to move to a different state right now and really need my money back... i feel like an idiot for falling for there scams and every time i try to get this worked out i end up arguing with them for several hours and get screwed every witch way and as if i wasn't stressed out enough i now have a bunch of telemarketers calling at all hours of the night and day, my email is full of spam (more than usual) and i am also reserving a whole bunch of junk mail at home and they have now denied ever selling my info to any company however this is the only scam i have fell for and the only one with my cell number... WEB MONEY TRAINING HAS MADE MY LIFE A LIVING HELL, AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY BY A COMPANY IN MY LIFE... WE NEED TO STOP THEM!
Hi Dina. A lot of people have the same sentiment and everyone is doing things to let WebmoneyTraining pay for what they have done. A class action lawsuit would be the best to get back at them. Read Deborah D's comment.
i checked out the page and didn't find any thing on it but when i looked up his name i found a case he is handling on another google home money scam... if anyone has more info on our specific case let me know... I WANT TO GET THEM, is there more specific info on how to get in on this case!
I to got ripped off by this company I am actually on the phone with them right now trying to get my 29.95 back. Wish me luck. So i think I got it canceled who know have to wait until next month to find out they also told me to call back tomorrow to get a refund. Yeah right. They told me to call 1-800-416-1339 between 9-5 and they would be able to help me. I do not beleive them but i will try.
It happened to me only I had canceled webmoneytraining but their joint company alterfunds took my $29.95 after calling and raising hell I got a return fund # but it takes 7-14 days to get money back,It's a scam with webtraining as a front and I thought it was illegal to take money with out my knowing but if you don't cancel with the company you didn't even know you joined they can do it.My advice is always check these sites first and if ANYBODY has a complaint don't buy in.
Yep...got me too. Wow...I don't care about fine print or what-not...this type of thing should be (and maybe is) illegal! I signed up for a free booklet for making money with Google advertising for $1.97. I never received anything in the mail or via email. Then the charges started...$69.97 and $29.95. Getting the same phone run arounds as most. Bait and switch...small print or no. Clear case of scamming...will do what I can...hope of the hopeless really unless my credit card company can help out.
I just got off the phone for three hours... a CSR confirmed i cancelled in aug yet they had no record and then they keep saying i cancelled today.. they have taken hundreds of dollars out of my account.. they didnt even have my right Email address.. nothing says that they will be sending all information to your email and if they did well they didnt even have my right one. omg what a total fraud
Yea, I didn't have a clue either, I canceled it in August and now its Oct. and they took 30.00 out of my child support card. I never gave anyone permission to do that....they said I would get a refund after cussing them out we shall see....THIS SHOULD BE REPORTED AND IM GOING TO BE THE ONE TO MAKE SURE THEY SHUT IT DOWN.....
Webmoney training is a 100% scam write to the florida attorney general about this company hopefully they will look into them. Their wedsite is set up to defraud the comsumer . I sign up for Alter funds the cost was to be 1.47 and then I was charge 69.97 and 29.95 by webmoneytraining.com which I didn't even know I was on that site, I called up twhen the charge show up on my statement and then then took me to a different site to fax in a reimbursement statement, as I was waiting for my refund they then charge my account again. they refund me and then charge me again. Something that they had a ad for $1.47 end up costing $100 which I never would have agree too. We all need to report to the florida attorney general to close them down
I signed up and I received the email about account info, I logged on and it kept showed me white pages and error, I called customer service after a week, I told them I couldn't see anything, they said they would resetup my account and send me new account info, and they charged me 1.97 and 69.97 later, until now I didn't receive any new account info from them, I called them they asked me to use my old account info and keep try to logon....
I did try for many times to logon and still seeing white pages and errors.
For 3 months I still could not be able to use the training.
What should I do, file complaint to comsumer agency....?
Scammed twice by this lot. Never thught it could happen to me but it did. Hope Barclay card get my money back.
i signed up for the 1.97 trial and canceled the same day and got over 200.00 in charges to my credit card. I called and they told me the charges would be refunded but they never were.. then when i called to ask them again about the charges they said there was no record of me calling. I had to dispute it through my bank. But they still got over on me for some money.... This company is a complete scam!!!
After a lot of hard work and complaining alternitive funding finaly refunded my money... i had to put in a compaint in to my bank, however web money training did not give me my $69 yet and so i filed a fraud claim with my bank... in 2 hours wells fargo covered my claim, put the money in my account and is now going to get there moneyback from them, but i dont have to worrie about it any more... i cansled my old acount and opened a new one so web money dosent have my info any more... also wells fargo refunded all of my overdraft fees because they understand that i got ripped off good... im sooooo glad that this pain in my @$$ is over, however i think we all still need to sue them for there bad practices and our emoshenal and financhil destress... i think a large and very public class action lawsuet is the only way we will be able to stop them... i have developed an eye twich some times when i get upset now fom all the stress they have caused me, it only sarted after i had to deal with there B.S. and its not flatering it makes my look like im going crazy... im only 23 years old this stuff shouldnt be hapening, they need to pay!

I WAS ALSO TAKEN BY WEBMONEYTRAINING.COM AS I WAS NOT INFORMED TO A $69.00 PAYMENT A MONTH AS WEL AS SEVERAL OTHER CONSUMERS. I REPORTED THIDTO THE BBB AND THE INTERNET CRIME COMPLAINT CENTER, I HOPE IS HELPS OTHER CONSUMERS T LOOK HARDER INTO FRAUDLENT WEB SITES.
