eBay Hints And Tips - What To Sell On eBay
"What should I sell on eBay?" - This has become an age-old eBay auction question. First of all, let me tell you, there are no right or wrong answers to this question. I can't tell you what to sell and what will sell on eBay but I can help you come to your own decision. The following tips are mainly logical, so I may be telling you things you already know.
1. Do your research. Look around eBay and see what is selling and what isn't. For example, Xbox games are more likely to sell than Sega games, mainly because they are more up-to-date.
2. Try and find something YOU are interested in selling. There is nothing worse than selling something you don't believe in or have no interest in - you'll lose your drive.
3. Think about items people use everyday or need to replace more often than not, such as batteries, light globes etc (these are just examples, I'm not suggesting you sell these). Obviously, things that need replacing often will be bought on a regular basis and you are sometimes more likely to pick up a bargain online rather than in the shops (if you know what you're doing), so people will come looking for these items online first.
4. Technology. It is moving fast. There is a lot of it out there and people are fascinated by it. Use that fascination to make money. Mobile Phones, iPods and Gaming Consoles are highly searched on the Internet.
5. I guess you're wondering how you are suppose to sell these things if you don't have or can't find a supplier. This would have to be one of the hardest things about selling online for many reasons such as:
*Finding a supplier that is reliable
*Finding a supplier with competitive prices
*And of course, one of the biggest worries online - scammers.
Once again, look around and compare different suppliers. The best way to avoid scammers is to research the suppliers history and one of the easiest ways to do that is to plug their company name into a search along with the word 'scams'. For example, "Mobile Phone Mania Scams". You'll get hits in forum sites with people discussing their opinions and experiences with the company and from there you can gauge whether they are reliable or not.
So there you have it! Hopefully this will send you on your way to making selling on eBay an income all on its own! The one thing to always remember when starting any business, whether it be online or even a shop-front is, research.

Hey, how's it going in AU with all the PayPal hubub?
G'day. So far they have postponed the PayPal movement by a month - originally it is meant to commence on (what I recall to be) the 15th of June 2008, to the 15th of July 2008. Some legal problem. Apparently some big corporation is looking into whether what they are doing is fair or not - haha, funny that.Anywho, I'll keep you posted.
cool insight. do you have an ebay business?
I do sell on eBay, yes.

#2 is a very important but many seem to miss it – sell what you like and know about, be an expert in your niche.
Dont go selling something cause its hot, but you know nothing about.
Thanks! Just made my first sale on eBay myself. Now I'm started to look around my house to see what else I can sell!
