Tired Eyes

Tired eyes are something very common to people of all ages alike. Eyes become swollen and tired after spending too much time in front of a computer, lack of sleep (or even too much of it), and not wearing eyeglasses when you’re supposed to.

However, many may not find it very alarming, believing that swollen eyes can be taken care of a few-hours sleep. That may not always be the case. Getting enough sleep is actually a more direct approach to the problem. Tired eyes can be easily cured by taking regular sleeping habits that you’re your eyes plenty of time to rest. Staying too late at night, especially while watching TV, will definitely tire your eyes out.

Most of us spend at least a few hours in front of the computer, if not at least 8 hours everyday. Almost all of the jobs deal with computers, even the grocery store next to your office. Therefore, everyone has the tendency to have tired eyes and not really care about it. Staying too much in front of a computer makes your eyes dry, making them swollen even more. To alleviate your eyes, consider a pair of computer glasses. (which are essentially low power over the counter reading glasses.)The best remedy for tired eyes due to too much exposure to computers is to take breaks from computer work. Also, the easiest prevention is to adjust monitor settings. If you think you can work better with bigger fonts, configure your screen to higher resolution.

Placing a cold item, such as sliced cucumber will help to soothe tired eyes.

Relief May Be Easier Than You Think

There are even simpler things to help your eyes relax a little. Anyone can actually do these simple exercises that will definitely help you get rid of tired eyes. And don't forget, when the time comes we all need a little help from eyeglasses. The first, and a hundred-percent no-sweat technique, is a simple relaxation method that consists of swinging your head from left to right. Let your arms loosely swing back and forth. Do this eye regimen with a couple of additional eye exercises such as extending eye movement to your leftmost or rightmost direction, and repeat with upward and downward movement. This will help muscles relieve too much stress due to limited eye movement. Make sure that you blink often. Frequent eye blinking will help your eyes become less dry due to too much exposure to computers.

The most common method that you have probably seen even in Hollywood films is with the cucumber beauty rests. Simply make cucumber slices and rest them on your eyes as you lay down, trying to relax, probably with a foot massage. This method has worked since the ancient times, as cucumber has anti-inflammatory substances that help the eyes rest. Cucumbers are like tiny ice packs as they contain acids that reduce water retention. This helps tired eyes become less swollen as cucumbers give a soothing effect to painful swelling or irritation in the eyes.

Also, to remove too much strain from tired eyes, you can also wash them with cold water, which provides instant relief to eye strain and relieves inflammation and swelling. Taking care of your eyes is as important as doing your everyday tasks—both of these are make up your health and surely you wouldn’t want to compromise one from the other!

I know that people have an assortment of different remedies for curing tired, puffy eyes. What I have to found to work best for me is an eye pillow, right out of the freezer. I use a peppermint scented one because it opens up my sinuses and that helps me to breath a lot better and helps my sinuses drain. That alone helps bring down the puffiness. The cold flax seed inside the eye pillow surrounds my eyes and temples which not only brings the puffiness and swelling down but it's also very relaxing.I searched online and found several sites that had them. The one I decided to go with was A Touch Of Satin. I liked them because their ingredients were organic, they had an unbelievably large selection of patterns and I like the feel of satin on my skin. They also had a page on their site that talked about the benefits of their aromatherapy scents. It was very interesting. If you want to check them out, their website is http://www.atouchofsatin.com Well, I hope this helps you. Let me know what you think. Good luck!

I tried EyeSlices in a spa during my vacation when I had tired eyes and was happy to discover EyeSlices can now be bought online to use at home. EyeSlices helped my dry eyes and burning eyes from travelling on the plane and quickly changing climates. I find using EyeSlices relaxing. EyeSlices claims to help puffy eyes and reduce dark circles under eyes, it definitely does for me.This is where I purchased the EyeSlices online: http://www.eyeslicesusa.comI'm only 26, so I'm not worrying yet about reducing signs of aging, but hopefully by using EyeSlices I'll prevent some wrinkles from starting! I like the fact that it's made with aoe vera.
