Home Schooling
60Home Schooling
We have been homeschooling our children for about 3 years now. It has given out children a chance to advance at their own speed. I think it has given them a chance to get that one on one interaction that students in a classroom can not always get. Of course there are lots of people who would disagree with me. Not sure if they have even tried to homeschool their own children if they happen to have any. I do know that there are many parents out here that homeschool their children and their success rate is more than those who send their children to school. Statistics show that 80 to 92% of homeschoolers will succeed in their live. To me those are good odds.

The Cost
Homeschooling can get expensive sometimes. I have come up with the solution in my situation. Ever since I have had a computer I have made my own videos for my child as time has gone on. here are some of our videos that have helped our children to get where they are. The videos are the early stages but very successful. Feel free to use them for your early learners. If you would like to see more please let me know.

of course intelligent design should be taught in school. it is one of the most widely believed theories of how man came to be. evolution is also a theory and a non fool proof one at that. children... - 3 months ago

An intelligent designer is a potential cosmological model. Conversely ,alluding to : Tooth fairies , Santa Clause {sic ,The great pumpkin are disingenuous, sophomoric arguments. - 4 months ago

Imagine the outrage if the discussion were, should Wicca be taught in school? The answer would be no. Intelligent design is not science, not even science fiction. Children have a hard enough time... - 4 months ago

i totally agree with you debrakcarey my children are no less sociable than any other. thanks for your comment
I would bet you're more qualified and get better results than any public school or even a private school . Reading your hub makes me even more curious about Case Academy .
thank you so much king Case Academy will help others to educate themselves in what they don't know when it all comes together. When you help people they help people and it is a chain reaction that will improve the world.
Hello Anna, I so admire you for homeschooling your children, and I feel they are super lucky to have you teaching them!!
I have always been open to homeschooling myself, and know it can have tremendous effects.
Your videos are great, and it took me back to the days when I taught Pre-K Preschoolers. The very specific pronunciations are so needed for children as they are learning the alphabet, so they can later learn to read with much greater ease. I am sure you do a phenomenal job, and can tell you are not only a great mother but a great teacher as well. You are an inspiration. :) Ocean
thx ocean and yeah the vides helped my kids out a lot and it was so cheap to do. school supplies can get costly and well I just wanted to experiment and see how these would work.
I favorited your videos and they should show up on the blogger central youtube player . I also watched the videos and got to the number 7 ! lol , so I am doing good lol Thanks Awcase The things you do are an admirable and honorable commission .
As a product of homeschooling from the first day of kindergarten through highschool, I definitely feel homeschooling is a great waay to teach your children. One other "cost" you may want to address is that social interactions will have to come through extra-curricular activities.
Nice hub.
lol phoenix that is great you are moving on up
yes i do agree with you edu 101 that is a very good point to make. thank you so much for comment

I homeschooled my children and feel it helped them think for themselves. I admire any parent who will go this extra 'mile' to see that their children receive a quality education. Many feel that children need the 'socializing' that public education provides. I feel the opposite, my children did socialize with friends and family and were protected from the bad influences in early childhood. All of them are productive and 'normal' in their life skills. As they got older and wiser they learned how to filter out the negative, when they were ready psychologically to do so. Homeschooling gave them the chance to be theirselves and not conform to the world.
