Paltalk is like other messenging services such as AOL Instant Messenger or Yahoo Instant Messenger. Paltalk Messenger enables internet chat worldwide at no cost to the user. The coolest thing about this software and what makes it different to other available messaging services is its video and voice capabilities
While other messenging programs only let people to chat with one other person in a session, Paltalk Messenger chatters have the ability to chat with upto ten different members. Paltalk uses a service entitled SuperIM which is their trademarked name for their chatting program. Like other messenging services, subscribers are able to view who is logged on, double clicking on a user will enable chat A list of Pals, known as Buddies in other programs, is available for the member through the main panel. If the subscriber uses a webcam they can easily make it available in chatrooms so chat users can view who they are talking with.
In Paltalk you can also chat with users of Yahoo, ICQ and AIM through links on the main panel.
A feature that makes Paltalk better than its competetion is it voice chat function Users can enable audio to their chat session and make their conversation chatting rather than texting.. Whilst in SuperIm mode, if a member clicks on the add audio button, he/she can chat to other chatters as if talking on the telephone.
Another great feature of Paltalk is that it has chatrooms. Paltalk subscribers also have the ability to visit any one of the nearly 4,000 rooms, catergories include politics, flirting, adult, radio, movies, computers and gaming. Users can browse the availablechatrooms by selecting the subject that they find intersestingand then clicking the room to enter. Chat in the chat rooms is enabled by clicking the Push to Talk button or by text
Paltalk subscribers can start and manage their own rooms on any chosen subject The person responsible for starting the chatroom has owner rights, this means they can open, and ban other members out of the chatroomfor a length of time, ban members forever, and control the microphone. The owner of the chatroom can allow administrative status to other users to ease the workload.
