Energy Efficient Light Bulbs
64Energy Saving Light Bulbs
There is a wide variety of light bulbs that can fall under the category of energy efficient or energy saving light bulbs, like the many types of fluorescent light bulbs, cfl bulbs, halogen, and maybe even full spectrum bulbs as well.
The main types of light bulbs used for energy savings though are the compact fluorescent light bulbs. These light bulbs are starting to become more, and more popular nowadays in both businesses, and households. That is because of the extreme savings these light bulbs are having on consumers wallets.
Regular light bulbs, like the incandescents usually use alot more energy, but they are still being bought. I'd really recommend staying away from those - which the cost may be cheaper initially, you'll save in the long run and help the environment by using energy efficient bulbs.

Still Using Incandescent Light Bulbs?
The incandescent light bulbs are still being bought because people are use to buying them, and that is what most people feel safe in buying. Although many people are starting to switch to the cfl, and fluorescent type light bulbs it will still take awhile before everyone realizes the potential these light bulbs hold.
There is also another thing that contributes to people sticking with the regular incandescent light bulbs as well. Because the initial price of the regular bulbs are so cheap, and the fluorescent type light bulbs initial price is usually higher then that of the incandescents.
Fluorescent Bulbs Are Way Of The Future
Though if people would realize that when you buy the fluorescent type light bulbs, and the cfl light bulbs that your not only saving money in your own wallet, but your also helping to save the environment as well. This is because both the incandescents, and the fluorescent type light bulbs produce green house gases, but the fluorescent light bulbs produce about twenty times there own body weight less green house gas then the incandescents do.
Not only that, the lifespan of the incandescents are much shorter then these energy saving light bulbs. The average lifespan for a incandescent light bulbs is about 1000 hours, while the average lifespan for a fluorescent is about 8000 hours. So the fluorescent type light bulbs, and the cfl light bulbs are always going to be the better choice, then the incandescents.

Do You Use Energy Saving Light Bulbs?
lucky you- you still have the choice - in Australia they are banning incandescent bulbs as of this year - and I think the CFLs are over-priced and give out a nasty light
