Entrepreneurship Definition You Need To Know

Entrepreneurship definition is not an easy undertaking. On the surface it is an individual who's active in the business sector, building a business and by doing so enjoy much freedom.

This might entirely apply only from a distant view or at first glaze. Trying to come up with an entrepreneurship definition could be best, when looking at the entrepreneur word itself and ask the question "What is an entrepreneur"?

Names like Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Sir Richard Branson, Ray Kroc, and Thomas Watson come to mind, which would be in accordance with what the general public would say in response.

Now one could imagine the need for achievement and non-rational over logical thinking are the main points what brings all entrepreneurs together. But Risk-taking is not universal for the entrepreneur per se, as an extremely successful entrepreneur once said, "My idea of risk and reward is for me to get the reward and others to take the risks."

Entrepreneurs don't have to be original ether, as some would imagine. They're good in re-creating other peoples ideas or concepts and giving it their own twist or improvement.

This points to, that it is very hard, if not inconceivable, to find an entrepreneurship definition. Alternatively it can be seen as a set of factors, characteristics and behaviors that can be found in a lot, but not all entrepreneurs that merge in the word entrepreneurship.

Nonetheless it is unsatisfying, there's something beneficial too. It re-ensure that there's not such thing as a "born entrepreneur". With other words, anybody has a chance to turn into an entrepreneur by modeling after successful CEOs and business owners who the public views as entrepreneur.

Regardless any definition, in new and coming forth businesses, the person who starts the business is often an entrepreneur or a visionary, in some cases both.

The entrepreneurial features involved to start successfully a business are often not those required for a business that undergoes growth of any size. The visionary who begins a business based on a new idea (to make something better or less expensively, to make it in afresh way or to fulfill a single need) is often not primary interested in making money.

The visionary prefer to do something that nobody has done, because they can; it is interesting and absorbing, and thus meeting a need. When the business set out to have some success, the nature and processes shift.

The role of the entrepreneur and the visionary demand to shift with the business as it develops and grows, but only to often he or she is not able to make the correction or shift. For that reason, most entrepreneurs and visionary step out of the company they started, or hand over the day by day business to others. They themselves jump to new horizon, finding new businesses and doing what they enjoy most or what they are best at.

But will this hold true to all visionary and entrepreneurs? The answer is not as easy as it looks, due to the difficulty in finding the entrepreneurship definition that will be able to stand for all aspects.

Taking only a few aspects of the characteristics of an entrepreneur, the answer would be not always. Because some successful business people, who are in no doubt famous entrepreneurs, have stayed with one company and never moved on. Ray Kroc (McDonalds Corporation), and Thomas Watson (IBM) come to mind.

The conclusion might be, it is not possible to find an all fit entrepreneurship definition or a entrepreneur definition to suit all successful businesses or business people, but when looking at some aspects of what they all share, it is possible to find a common definition, yet not universal.
