Example Cover Letters are sometimes hard to come by but don't despair. There are a few "must haves" for your cover letters and I'll list the top 7 here. There aren't many because remember that your cover letter should be fairly short (three quarters of a page at most). It should be concise and attention grabbing.

Here are the top 7 essential items to include in your cover letter:

  • Short Introduction...Who are you?
  • The role that you are applying for and where you saw it advertised.
  • Curernt employment status if relevent.
  • Job experience that is relevent to the role you are applying for.
  • Why you would be perfect for this job and company.
  • Your aspirations. Demonstrate that you are ambicious.
  • Thank the reader for their time and state that you look forward to meeting with them to discuss the role, your experience and your aspirations further.

These are all very important must haves but the last one I have found to be very successful.

Thanks, I found that If I included your 7 points, in sentance form, my cover letter was complete. It remained fairly short and I recently landed 3 job interviews (from 9 applications). Hopfully I land on of them. I'll keep you posted.

Always ask for an interview in the cover letter.
