Did you know that tummy fat is very dangerous. No matter how old you are, having excess abdominal fat can double your chances of having a heart attack.
If that's not enough reason for you to shed that tummy, consider this: according to a recent survey, a flat stomach is the most attractive body part for both men and women. Who wouldn't want to be seen as attractive, healthy and successful?
But, there may be alot of things causing your fat tummy, exercise may thus
not always be the only solution. If you want to increase your life span for your
loved ones or if you want a sleek sexy midriff, there are various thing you can
do to make that fat tummy flat.
The top 5 ways of making that fat stomach flat and sexy.
Here are 5 clever things you can do now to flatten your fat tummy - exercise, diet and other smart tips!
1. Stress less
Did you know that stress can be responsible for that tummy fat?
When you stress, your body produces excess cortisol. This overproduction of cortisol leads to fat being stored in the tummy area.
To lessen the effect of cortisol and to get that tummy flatter, do stress relieving exercises like Yoga, Pilates or even meditation. Yoga and Pilates are also great if you want a strong sexy mid section, as they help strengthen your core (your abs, back and hip flexors).
2. Beat the bloat
Bloating can also make your tummy look fat.
To combat the effects of bloating, drink less carbonated soft drinks and eat less food that is rich in gas forming substances.
These foods include:
- Cabbage
- Beans
- Pulses
- Brussels sprouts and
- Sweetcorn
3. Eat fat burning food
By increasing your intake of fat burning food and by following a healthy eating plan, you can also flatten your tummy.
Fat burning food include:
- Eggs
- Turkey and other lean meats
- Fish
- Spinach and other green vegetables
- Wholegrains
Also, never skip a meal and eat smaller meals (but more regularly).
4. Start training with weights
Training with weights is the best thing you can do if you want a flat stomach.
This is because for every kilogram of muscle you gain, your body burns an extra 50 calories a day to maintain that muscle.
And muscles burn fat in
order to make room for the new muscles.
5. Do some cardio
Getting in extra activity and doing extra cardio is a great way to increase your daily kilojoule expenditure.
Regular cardio also strengthens your heart and increases your lungs capacity.
Easy ways how you can get extra activity in your day is by taking the stairs instead of the lift, by walking your dog more often and playing (outside) with your kids more often.
The results!
When you combine the above exercises and tips, you will start burning that belly fat and you will be ready to start toning that tummy.

The first thing you have to do to lose that tummy of yours is to really want to lose it (to be committed to losing it). Only that way will you really lose it and not go back to your old habits that caused you to have a fat stomach in the first place.
The next thing you have to do is to realize how unhealthy and dangerous excess stomach fat is.
After that you are sure to be motivated and dedicated to losing your stomach fat.
