I love facebook layouts so I had to buy the shirt!
I'm just one of the millions of users that have discovered Facebook this year. At first, I was compelled to join for business purposes but now (I'm afraid to admit), I'm addicted. I can't get enough of the cool and easy ways to connect with people. So I've been sporting my addiction in the real world with Facebook layouts and lingo... on my shirt!
So what's the appeal of Facebook? I've met great people with common interests, who I now rely on for both work and play. It's easy to stay current on my friends and what they want to share with me through their mini-feeds. The privacy settings keep me in control. Its well-designed, intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate. And best of all, no SPAM! I know every message in my in box is from a friend. Like Mike Mindel says on his blog, "Facebook users don’t have to leave Facebook to use that horrible unsafe place known as the internet."
Being a designer, I frankly couldn't stand looking at MySpace pages. Does that sound shallow? If it does, I'm apparently not alone. An article on CMS Wire says that the simplicity of Facebook's design is what works in its favor. I agree with the author's speculation that keeping "the look" simple means that I focus on collaborative opportunities rather than the appearance of my profile page.
I discovered that Facebook encourages collaboration in the real world too. I was wearing my "I'm a Top Friend" Tee at a coffee shop last week and struck up a converation with another Facebook junkie.
Are you a Facebook fanatic too? Surf over to Tech Geek's Cafe Press shop and announce yourself to other kindred spirits. They have shirts with Facebook layouts and jargon that we use online, on wearables and gift items. One-liners like "Give me a SuperPoke!" or "I have an Entourage" make me lol. And for a conversation starter, what's better than "Introduce me"?

Yes I love that facebook doesn't have any spam,, But I am starting notice people abusing high traffic app and spamming the Walls with REfferal links to places like clickbank extra and more people signing up with psedue names. I think they should crack down immediatly on this. bite in the ass per say to stop it before it gets out of control. LIke banning certian urls from being posted.. Like hey could add Clickbank to blacklist and would become censored. ***** with stars.

The ones of you that don't like Facebook it is because it is for mature folks and not immature spoiled little brats like yourselves. That is why intelligent people use Facebook, and crackhead losers and dumb junkies use Myspace. Very simple, it really is.
