Dominican Divorce Law 142, that allows foreign citizens not living in the Dominican Republic to file for fast divorce by mutual consent, requires that both parties: must agree to file for divorce; must sign a marital separation agreement before a Notary Public or local authority; and at least one of them shall appears before the judge the day of the divorce hearing in the Dominican Republic.
