Feed A Starving Crowd

Before you can do any proper keyword research, the first thing you must do is to find a hot niche market that will be a winner, income-wise. We will discuss a method on how to find those hot topics so that your keyword research and analysis can begin. It doesn’t make much sense to start with keyword research unless you have a category or topic that will produce those long tail keywords that will make the most money, either through Google AdSense or affiliate products.

Then, once you have the hot topic, you can turn to The Keyword Academy and learn how to do keyword research the right way. But right now we want to find out how to find those hot niches.

Many people just go to Amazon and search Amazon for hot selling products that many people buy. That’s a good place to look for that hot niche topic. But why limit yourself to just one search. Why not expand your research into another realm or domain that has lots of people buying real products.

I am suggesting that you use PayPal and PayPal shops in particular. Here is the URL to get you started - https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_shop-ext. Once in PayPal Shops you can find the hottest selling products in PayPal Shops.

You will notice that on the left hand side of the display above is a list of categories that you can click on and the click will take you to the category where you will find some very interesting information about who is buying what and how popular the products are.

The really hot selling products are inside the categories on the left hand side of the page. You want to scan these listing every carefully for hot selling products that can become a hot niche market for you. For example, say you are interested in Computers. Click on that category and you will see something like this.

You will notice that there are more sub-categories on the left hand side so that you can narrow your search.

You will also see that the merchants are ranked by sales volume with the highest volume merchants on the top of the list. This allows you to see which categories are the hottest for a particular niche.

So let’s click on Laptops and see what we get.. There are 19 pages of information here that might lead to a profitable niche.

How about Bears and Dolls? This is what I got for dolls:

Barbie might be too popular and competitive, but maybe concentrating on Barbie’s clothes or how her fashions changed with the times might be a hot topic.

Another feature of PayPal Shops is that you can list your Website here for 150 millions PayPay users to see. Of course not all of those 150 million will look, but with a hot niche that pays well you don’t need a thundering herd of visitors.

Just click on Shops Resource Center box at the bottom of the page. This is a free service offered by PayPal and who knows, it could boost your rankings in Google. That's what you really want if you are trying to make money with Google AdSense, isn’t it?

So, say you find a hot topic. What the heck do you do with it? Is it possible to make some money with a hot niche?

Listen. The object of all this is to come up with a domain name for a website. That website can be a Wordpress blog (free), Hub Pages (free), Squidoo Lens (free), Google Blogger blog (free). The only cost is the domain and a host server which is needed for a Wordpress blog, but not for the other guys. In fact, the only one you would have to buy a domain name and a host for is Wordpress so it's not exactly free..

Yes. Sign up for Google AdSense. It’s free. It just takes a few moments and you’ll be well on your way to making some money care of Google AdSense.

Then put Google AdSense ads on your website, Squidoo lens, bloggers blog, or Hub Page. If you have a hot niche, the money will begin to flow from Google AdSense into your bank account, just as night follows day. It may take a month or two to be indexed by Google, but getting traffic (hungry starving visitors) to your website is another matter.

How about testing your niche to see if there is any interest. You can do that for free by creating a Hub Page. If you don’t get many visitors, then create another Hub Page, et cetera, et cetera, until you find one that works for you. This is known as throwing a lot of mud against the wall and seeing what sticks. A primitive form of testing but it works.

But you still need to do your keyword analysis to find more keywords associated with your hot niche.
