As with beauty, fashion is not all about the women. This group of men prove that fashion and style have nothing to do with gender. From the streets, to arenas to red carpets, these men, consciously or otherwise, have shaped the fashion landscape for the rest of the brotherhood to emulate and follow.

Frank Sinatra

The class act in cool and refinement, he was the antithesis to Jimmy Dean's rebellious streak. The 50s couldn't have swung as it did without this man with the golden touch.

James Dean

Forever a rebel in many ways, he was one of the first male celebrities that men considered sexy. His androgynous appeal and tortured aura (and of course, that hair!) spawned gang-chic that is still popular today.

David Bowie

Considered as the male Madonna due to his various image makeovers, he has crossed over from glam rock (remember Ziggy?) to soul to pop to electronica. Although he has mellowed somewhat, his image as an icon will forever be in style.

Giorgio Armani

His name is almost synonymous with suits, elegant suits. His trademark clean and tailored lines are commonplace in red carpet events and high-powered corporate culture.

Sir Paul Smith

Allegedly GQ's favorite designer, he is credited with the resurgence of Filofax and the boxers. He once described his style as "Savile Row Meest Mr Bean".

Kurt Cobain

Forget about the bling or the stiff upper lip, this one's for the angst-ridden, college kids everywhere. The birth of the grunge has allowed the rethinking of fashion as the playground of the moneyed masses. Fashion with no apologies.

George Clooney

The current poster boy of good looks and elegant style, his forays into the red carpet are never misshits. A true ladies' man that hark at Old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, of course.

Tom Ford

Awarded by the Council of Fashion Designers of America with the Designer of the Year twice, he is generally credited with bringing back Gucci and YSL into the groove. And not bad if the designer looks like a model.

David Beckham

The man who looks good with or without anything on, he forged the marriage of sports and high fashion. And thereby elevating the sportsman to higher heights of celebrity-dom.

Kanye West

Without going to the extreme with street/urban fashion, he makes style that is at once young and hip with an air of maturity about it - like his music and, er, take on life.

Hey, you left out Sean "P. Diddy" Combs! Make it eleven, then!

Well actually, it's him or Kanye. Unfortunately I only had room for one more. Flipped a coin, heads, Kanye. Let's just make P. Diddy the unofficial No. 11, an understudy if you may :D

Picture hubs do take me hours. Choosing and editing the pictures alone is quite tedious. :D
