BIN (File Extension BIN) is associated with many different programs. Although it mainly refers to binary file output, you will need the program that created it so that you will be able to open it. It might be useful to check in which folder it’s located to be able to identify which program created it in the first place.
ZIP consists of a collection of compressed files. It’s arguably the most popular compression file extension, which can easily be opened with various utilities that can be downloaded even for free. The most common ones are WinZip and PKZip.
