A Huge Challenge....

You may be a single woman living alone, a single mother or father raising children on your own, a student trying to balance school and a job, or maybe a one-income family struggling to make ends meet. No matter what your gender or situation, it is becoming increasingly more difficult in today's economy to survive between pay checks. A second income looks like the only light at the end of the tunnel, however how can you find the time to work another job?

Perhaps by now you have already started researching some potential second income opportunities. I know I did! When my employer made us start paying for our health insurance - it was a major pay cut. Then, shortly after that blow we were told our hours were being reduced because sales were down too much. ~Sigh~, another blow. I am a single mother of two, working full-time, own a home, car, etc. and let me tell you about struggling to make ends meet! One thing that saved me was that I am pretty familiar with the internet. Not anywhere close to an expert, but I know how to surf, and was familiar with EBay, which was my first attempt at a second income...

Selling on EBay is a fantastic way to make some quick money! I started selling things I no longer used around the house, my Daughter's name-brand clothing that she had outgrown, etc. I seriously made $100 on my first auction. Of course, you most likely will run out of things around the house to sell and have to step up to some other options. One is buying items in "lots" on EBay and selling the items separately. Another is a wholesale drop shipper such as: The Wholesale-Portal where you list and sell items they offer, the customer pays you, and you then purchase them from your drop shipper at the discount price. Wholesale Portal and many others will also ship the items for you. That makes it very convenient.

Another way to earn a second income is to again harness the power of the internet and look into work at home opportunities. But first a warning! Do not purchase any work at home opportunity unless you read this entire article, or you could be scammed! There are many types of work at home business opportunities such as taking surveys, writing articles, affiliate marketing, etc. You must first research them and then decide which method would best suit you. However, there are also some very manipulative scam artists out there selling their programs, some of which are even illegal. I suggest doing some research, and find a program you are comfortable with. As with any home based business, don't expect to see results immediately. Give it time and effort, stick to one strategy, and you WILL begin to see an income.

There are MANY work at home programs that I have tried. A LOT have failed. A LOT were scams. The bright side is, some DO work. My advice to you is to look for a program that requires little, if any, start-up costs; make sure it has been researched and proven legitimate; be certain they offer a money-back guarantee; and check to see that they offer phone and/or email support.

There is simply not enough room in this article to tell you everything you must know about selling on EBay, legitimate work at home opportunities or even to attempt to list all the ones I've tried. Please visit Reviewer's Select for the best information on the web regarding work at home programs.

HI,

I like your article. I am always on the lookout for new ideas to generate additional income. Most methods need a website. So to help those who have problems in this area I found a place where you can get a website with you own domain name absolutely free. It is drop and drag technology. I am relatively new to this all, yet I set up a website in 2 hours. All it costs is $1 for the domain name which they purchase for you. Can you believe it.

http://tinyurl.com/l2r83g check it out. You can,t go wrong.
