Finding the Right Gaming Guitar
51
Now that games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have dominated the video game market, finding the right gaming guitar is key to bringing out the best guitarist. Since the guitar can make all the difference, you want to find the right fit. If you are just getting started, the guitar should not matter that much. You want to learn how to play the game, learn the tips and tricks of the guitar and get comfortable with the songs and other factors of the game.
Once you are ready to take your guitar skills to the next level, seeking out the right type of guitar will help make you a better guitarist. There are several types of guitars on the market. They have wired ones and wireless ones. This should be one of your first decisions. If you are playing in multiple locations, going with a wireless guitar would be your best bet.
From there, you can narrow down the type. They make them in Les Paul, classic and other guitar styles to simulate real guitar types. This is more an aesthetic choice than a gaming one, but it can make a difference in how you play. Since those playing in faux rock bands are not only playing for skill but for show, the guitar can enhance their confidence while playing. The more confidence you have in your ability, the better you are going to play.
Many retail locations have Rock Band or Guitar Hero on demo, if you have the chance to go in and try it out, you should. They usually have a few guitars on demo, too. This gives you the chance to hold it, try it and see how it feels. If push comes to shove, you can always buy one, try it and return it until you find the right feel. Once you find the perfect guitar, your game play and experience being a video gaming guitarist will not only improve but encourage you to play even more.
