Finding Valuable Antiques

Hi welcome to my antiques page. Antiques are anything over 80-100 years old that are also considered valuable. If something is old but is not desirable then it is not an antique. Most old pieces are actually just junk. If an item used to be really high quality when it was brand new, then it would make a good candidate for an antique down the road.

A good way to find out if something is an antique is to find an appraiser. An appraiser knows the most about antiques but they are also very expensive. expect to pay at least $100 to have something appraised by a professional.
