Audubon Park Boot Camp tips for women



You indulged in too many sweets, you drank your fare share of holiday cheer and now you’re wondering if this is really you in the mirror!

Don’t let swimsuit season sneak up on you. Let this be the year you look forward to walking around in your swim suit without that little wrap! Get a jump start on your body now!

At most boot camps in Audubon Park “You can expect a fun and invigorating workout everyday,” says Jonas Deffes of Metairie New Orleans and Madeville Adventure Boot Camp. “The focus is on fun, and this boot camp is ideal for women of all fitness levels. It’s an encouraging and safe environment where you’ll be pushed to your highest potential— without being pushed to far!”


5:30 a.m. in RSM is taught by world renowned fitness expert Jonas Deffes. “I saw Jonas Deffes on T.V. and then I saw he has a boot camp right here in Audubon Park! So, I joined his boot camp. I mean, who wouldn’t?Jonas is such an inspiration to me! Because of him, I have lost 15 lbs. and went from a size 12 to a size 4,” said Ellen Lowery of Ladera Ranch. Lowery has attended Audubon Park Adventure Boot Camp for four consecutive sessions.

Jonas Deffes said, “ Boot Camp has empowered so many women! I feel extremely privileged in having the ability to help so many reach their goals, and help even more surpass their goals. It is wonderful to see their sleepy yet happy faces each morning. They inspire me with their ability to get out there and make it happen. They make a difference in their lives!”
At Audubon Adventure Boot Camp you will find a well-balanced program that includes it all.


“We do push-ups, crunches, weight-lifting, squats and jumping jacks, core-training, and functional training, — whatever it takes to get you in shape. Because everyone needs some encouragement from time to time, we encourage you! We also help you keep track of your progress with regular evaluations of your weight / body measurments,” said Mark Thonn who has been in charge of handling the boot camp evaluations and now teaches the Metairie Adventure Boot Camp.

“Outdoor Boot Camp is seriously fun"! I hated going to the gym, and I usually didn’t go. So, I got fat! Now, I am motivated every day and I’m really proud of myself…so is my husband,” said Kelly Anderson an avid boot camper from New Orleans.

Workouts are first thing in the morning to help kick-start your day and jump start your metabolism. From day to day, you’ll see the results of all your hard work.
