Why Alter Your Physical Fitness Routine?

I don’t know many people who thoroughly enjoy exercise – and there’s a reason why! Most people stick to the same drab routine day after day until they suffer severe burnout.

Instead of letting your enthusiasm grow stagnant, why not try mixing it up a bit? It’s easy when you have a variety of fitness gear to alter the routine and add convenience to your exercises.

You don’t need to spend money on a pricey fitness membership program. Just invest in some durable home gym equipment (from small items like a safe water bottle to larger items like a treadmill) and you can enjoy exercising for years to come with no further investment!

You can do all sorts of things for physical fitness. You can run, walk, swim, ride horses, box, play baseball or another sport, or even do yoga on a mat while you relax in your living room!

What Do I Need to Buy for My Home Gym Gear?

You can categorize your home gym equipment in several ways. To really mix it up, have a few of each item. Don’t worry about buying it all at once – invest in one item at a time until you amass a home gym that gives you everything you need.

Fitness Equipment:

Make sure you have in stock some exercise balls or stability balls to strengthen your core. Floor mats, stretch bands, and a variety of DVDs and Books will serve you well. You can buy specific topics like yoga, kick-boxing, and pilates.

Weight Lifting

For your weight lifting needs, which men and women both need to strengthen their body and burn fat faster, you’ll want to have free weights, barbells, and maybe even a large all-in-one machine like a Bowflex.

Cardio Equipment

Which do you prefer – treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bikes, spinners, or stair steppers? You might even like something a little different like a rowing machine.

Don’t forget the little things!

Regardless of what type of exercise you do, you’ll want some basic fitness gear to have handy like a personal towel to wipe sweat away, a water bottle to stay hydrated, gloves if you’re prone to blister while working out, and a visor if you’re doing exercise outside.

Top Mix It Up Fitness Tip – Stay Hydrated!

Regardless of what type of exercise you do each day, make sure you drink plenty of water to hydrate yourself as you burn calories and strengthen your body. Water is essential to your exercise regimen.

We recommend investing in a good water bottle you can use for the long-term (don’t just buy those store-bought water bottles that you throw away each time, filling up the landfills)!

You’re doing something good for your body by exercising, so you also want to use a water bottle that’s bpa-free. Bisphenol-A is a toxin that can leak into your water in other plastic containers.

One good water bottle we found that’s bpa-free is the Titan water bottle. It’s not just because it’s a healthier option that we like it. It’s primarily because of the convenience it offers with its carabiner – which means you only need one hand to unhook it from whatever you’ve hooked it onto, open and chug the water.

So if you have a weight in one hand, drink with the other. With most water bottles, you either have to stop and use two hands to unscrew the cap, or you can use one hand, but you’re saddled with those tiny squirt tops.

I don’t know about you, but when you’re in the midst of an intense workout, you want more than a trickle – you want a chug!
