While using a search engine when results come out for a particular search term (basically known as Keywords) we never bother to look more than 3 search pages. The search engines give more priority to the sites which are local to the site

4. Next you have to directory submission for the site. It can be web directories, relevant directories, business directories.

5. Prepare articles for the site. The article should be relevant to the site and should be keyword rich content. Submit the articles to different article directories. If the article is interesting then definitely people will visit the site who can turn into customers.

6. Social Bookmarking and forum submission is also required.

By following aforementioned steps you can definitely improve search engine rank.
