Flying cars are like Jetsons cartoons. These are a reality and not in our lifetime. Atleast in the sense that everyone will have one for their use. I used to watch that cartoon from my young age and still continue to watch, and in case of emergency the car will stop in the mid air and let the person pass. I think with the technology, now this is not in our future, but if can come up like flying car it would quickly come into effect.

These were the dream of a common person.

Now Terrafugia has completed the test flight of the transition POC ( Proof of Concept). You can now simply land at the airport hold your wings up and can drive home.

Here are the list of their specialities:

• It flies a distance of 725 KM at the speed of 115 KM/Hr. It requires a special licence to drive and fly.
• The time required for the transition from plane to car takes less than 30 seconds.
• Vehicle speeds 185 Km/Hr and the range is 725 Km in Highways.
• Vehicle is fuelled with Gasoline.
• The price of the car is expected to be around $ 200,000.
• The first shipment of the car will be rolled in 2011.
