Foods to increase testosterone
94Testosterone is a male hormone which plays a vital role in a man’s health and sexuality. Its production is dependent on zinc and vitamin B and although it is not found directly in the food we eat, certain foods can lead the body to produce more of it.
Testosterone is highly important for both men and women. However, men produce around 40 to 60 times more testosterone than women. Normally, testosterone levels in men are about 30% higher in the morning than at night time. This may explain why men are more interested in sex in the morning and is part of the reason for spontaneous morning erections.

good stuff!
Excellent information, great natural ways, no pills or shots involved.
Hmmm so that is the reason why my (snip)(snip)(snip)...LOL I don't wanna tell more..Everything is good, except for the raw oyster, I wonder how it tastes..=)
Lady Guinevere: Thanks, glad you liked it.
Aida: and it tastes delicious!
emohealer: Yes, I believe that natural is best and of course more enjoyable.
Charia: I see this is already working for you :)
Actually, raw oysters are delicious, sometimes I travel for hours just to get a big dish of fresh oysters, I find them adictive! My husband didn't like them until he met me, now he has learnt to like them and even finds them quite tasty. It is just a matter of getting used to the taste and of course of having fresh good quality oysters.
I have eaten all your food suggestions at some time, although probably not regularly enough, except oysters. Never been able to eat much seafood which is a real shame because the rest of my family all love seafood.
Good hub.
really!?! Ok maybe we'll have to try that, well not for anything else LOL, my husband is a food lover and I think he should know that it's quite addicting. I'm hitting 2 birds with one stone. LOL =)
Better get Hubby a bag full of these goodies then lol
Figs are the best. I hate asparagus.
great hub!
very useful information. people must make use of this.Thank you Princessa
my friends and i were just talking about this today! thanks! (=
Brian: for these foods to have any effect, you really need to be constant. At least one of them a day could make a difference. I remember reading about an American Oyster farming town which "for some reason" had the highest pregnancy rates in America. I'll try to remember the name of the town or find that article.
Charia: good luck with it ;-)
Ethel: well, let's say you know now what to include in your new summer menu!
fishskinfreak2008: yes, figs are delicious.
Wow! They are certainly great to be included in our food intake. Up for this hub!
Ismail: thanks!
JPSO: thanks for the thumbs up, it is actually good that these foods are so tasty and easily available so it should be easy to add to a daily diet.
Nice details, But less testosterone is not much problem instead hormonal levels imbalance causes low testosterone
and i prefer an alkaline diet to control hormonal imbalance.
I will shortly write an hub on Hormonal imbalance.
However some of the foods you mention are alkaline and hence will help in controlling hormonal imbalance.
i enjoy reading your hub

Natural health
This is just what the doctor ordered!!!
I saw a documentary a while back that did and experiment!
It took one hot red blooded male who was high in testosterone and another guy with very low testosterone levels, and made them do certain tasks,,
The guy with the high testosterone was made to do things like washing dishes, hoovering and playing silly child games, and the other guy with the lower testosterone was made to build, drink beer and do all those manly things we do..
After the experiment, the guy with the High testosterone levels was reduced and the guy with the low levels of testosterone was increased!!
Seeing as i do all my own cooking(Re-heating), washhng, hoovering etc, these food items you listed is right up my street!
Thnkas for sharing such valuable information!;)
all_time_guy: men with low testosterone levels may notice changes in mood and emotions, a decrease in body mass and strength due to loss of muscle tissue, an increase in body fat as well as alterations in bone mineral density. Not to mention inadequate erections and poor sexual performance.
compu-smart: interesting experience. I am happy for you that now you know how to counteract the effects of that. Great to "see " you again.
xxx
Thanks and U2;)
IM just stuffing my face with bananas!:D

I'm never eating raw oysters. I don't want to get sick. But I will try the others :|
Great lens! Lucky I love all the food that you mentioned here! I'll give this a try myself and see if it really is effective! Thanks for the tips!
Anthony: a change on diet to more fruits and vegs cannot hurt. If anything you might notice yourself more energetic :)
raj_kapil: thanks, keep enjoying...
MandevilleChiro: I am convinced that natural solutions are always healthier and give better long lasting results.
mirani: good to hear that you enjoyed it.
ocbill: oysters are really one of my "sins" I cannot resist them and I feel their effect almost inmediately!
Pamela99: yes, the worst that could happen is that you make him healthier... and the best is... well you'll see ;-)
Victim of poor Sex: a change in diet might even change your name :)
providence: i have eaten oyster many times and I have never been sick, and there is nothing more sensual than a raw oyster sliding down your lips, caressing your tongue...
Hi kelvinlls, don't forget to come back and let us know the results.
Jeeez if mine was increased anymore I wud be jumping anything that moved ; )

* Vitamin B3 (niacin or nicotinamide)
* Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)
* Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine)
* Vitamin B7 (biotin), also known as vitamin H

coffee fan: i'll need to look at that, never heard about power coffee before. Thanks for sharing.
jimcassa: I do prefer to try natural enhancers and remedies, not only they are tastier and more economical but the have little or none sideeefects.
michelle.dragon99: i agree on that one. Even i get an inmediate effect after consuming oysters!
KyonSOS23: LOL, I guess you can avoid these foods, to stop testosterone production. Otherwise, you might want to try Marjoram essential oil which acts as a sedative and has the power to turn off sexual desire.
I read this thinking if I find out what increases testrone...I could cut it out of my diet and stop growing this menopasual mustache...pout..I only eat bannanas and rarely....back to bleaching and shaving...giggles
This is very interesting info--I am amazed at how little the average person (including me) knows about food and dieting in general. I am trying to learn more so I can be more fit and healthu
I included this hub in a list I made today about great hubs: http://hubpages.com/hub/10-Great-Hubpages-Articles

I could only get hand into bananas, I am vegetarian. So pictures of more fruits that contain all the ingrediants to produce testosterone may be uploaded.
I love to read health articles for health care of our bodies..thank.
auntiebree: oh dear! I am sure there are several nutritional changes that you could do to improve your situation. In the meantime, I know that soya products are very good during the menopause.
Chris Crow: hi, thanks for including me in your hub, it's an honour!
dohn121: there you are, we are always learning new things here in the HubPages :)
KyonSOS23: you are welcome :)
great article. this is a must bookmark! :)
Great info! Here's an article I wrote that might be useful to your readers: http://hubpages.com/hub/depressionanddating
the amount food contributes to increasing testosterone is little to none.
Martin: Thanks.
Kimberly: thanks for the link.
Information Ninja: I believe that even if the contribution of certazin foods to increase testosterone is little, it is much better to try natural ways like changing eating habits for a healthier diet. Unless a person has a medical condition diagnosed by a doctor, he should not try any other methods.
VERY GOOD STUFF
that's exactly what I have been looking for. My girlfriend will thank you
Thanks, very informative and from as lady no less.
Thanks for the informative hub. It ties in nicely with my hub on contraception which highlights the effect of estrogens in the environment & how they are affecting the health & hormonal balance of all of us, male & female.
As well as eating foods that boost natural hormone balance it is also very important to avoid foods & products that throw the balance out in the first place!
regards, Lou. xx
NATH: thanks.
nikon monarch: nothing better than keeping the girlfriend happy ;-)
Robert: you are welcome, let's say this advice is tried and tested.

You have posted interesting information.
I was unaware about the fact that oysters helps to increase sperms.
Nice info here. I was unaware of the fact that banana could help me to increase testosterone.
There must be lot more natural food stuff to regulate the testosterone levels. I live in south Asia and would like to know about the stuff which is easily available here. We dont have oysters, avocados, and asparagus here. Thank you.
My doctor recommended the DR MAX POWERS HGH SPRAY and I didn't know how seriously to take these things - but I was hunting with a buddy and he told me how good the Dr. Max Powers HGH Spray is for libido because he used it a couple of time before.
I'm kind of a penny pincher, but this deal was too good to pass up! (I originally bought just 1 to try it out but now I buy the 3 pack to save money)
I have to say I had GREAT results! It's hard to admit the libido is not what it use to be, but last week, my wife told me her Studmuffin was back. The kids are gone, and now we are chasing each other around like a couple of teenagers. This stuff is GREAT!!! Hey baby, I'm ready! A N Y T I M E -- A N Y W H E R E !!! if you know what I mean!
I love all these foods and enjoy them often, but with my age and health problems sex is like trying to shoot pool with a rope.
nice topic, good info!
Had to read this hub again. Very well done !
very useful hub
Thanks for all your comments. I'll be coming back with more ;)
