Foot Detox Pads, Do They Really Work?
68Foot Detox Pads: Too Good to be True?
Have you ever had someone warn you about something sounding too good to be true? This warning may ring true when it comes to foot detox pads. These pads are the latest health craze. Manufacturers claim that when applied to the feet at night, these pads will draw the toxins out of body while you sleep. In the morning the pads will be discolored, supposedly a sign they have worked properly. While these pads may have some detoxifying action - on the soles of your feet at least - be wary of the product. It probably does not give you as good a detox as you think.
First, think rationally about the way the product promises to work. Promoters say the product will draw all toxins, even heavy metal deposits, out through your skin. Although the skin does allow some nutrients and other substances to pass back and forth through the pores, my biology classes never indicated anything as dense as heavy metal particles could be drawn through the skin. According to modern medicine, the only way these toxins can be cleared from your body is by taking an internal chelator that will bind to the metal substances and allow them to be flushed out of the body.
Also according to the manufacturers, these foot detox pads are formulated using ancient Japanese and Asian cultural medicine. They contain a combination of ingredients including Tourmaline, a stone or mineral that emits negative ions; bamboo vinegar, which is supposed to help aid the body in releasing waste products through the skin; and wood vinegar, supposedly popular for its drawing actions. The pads supposedly work on the basis of reflexology which holds to the belief that there are zones in the feet that correspond to each organ system in the body. Reflexology indicates the wastes from these organ systems will accumulate in the feet where they can be drawn out through the skin by the pads.
As for the color change most people note in their foot detox pads, the wood vinegar may be responsible for this phenomenon. The vinegar is generally dried and ground before being mixed in with the other patch ingredients. When this dried vinegar comes back in contact with water, through your sweaty feet, it returns to its liquid version which is a dark colored liquid. The sweat from your feet mixed with the herbs in the patch may account for the bad odor that comes from the pad after it is removed.
Do detox foot pads provide some benefits? Some people say they notice a difference when using them, but if you want to purge internal waste through the pores of your skin my advice would be to take a sauna or steam bath. To get rid of solid waste that can't be passed through your skins pores The Master Cleanser is a very effective diet that can cleanse your body in just a few days
If you feel your body is in need of serious internal cleansing you're going to need more then foot pads because at best these pads are only removing trace amounts of waste from your body.

Have you actually used these patches? You provide no sound basis for your views, which sound like something a jealous competitor would say about a rival product more than an objective review.
I've used these foot patches for 2 weeks and the difference in my sleep, energy levels and motivation are nothing short of amazing. I have less pain than I had from previous sports injuries, and old injuries are healing after being resistant to standard treatment. I have a friend (a champion bodybuilder) who now uses them and he is enthusiastic about the effects.
Your article speaks of a very biased opinion, and no objective valididty at all. Try them, maybe you'll change your mind.
I can't believe some of these comments. These foot patches are merely praying on people looking for a quick fix. It takes years of unhealthy lifestyle choices to put your body in a state that it becomes too toxic to cleanse itself. When it does get to that point some patch is not going to undo all that damage.I wish it was that easy, but sadly it's not.
Is it possible that this is all an exercise in positive thinking--the placebo effect? It's difficult to refute a customer who has had incredibly positive outcome, but i'm reading 'assumed' medical experts that give no medical credibility to these types of treatments.
Snake oil and quackery! Read how the human body actually works and you will see that the foot detox is ridiculous.
Hey Valerie- The are many different theories on how the human body works. Which do you suggest I read?
Everyone of my clients that I have referred these patches to has gotten excellent results, as I have. Those with negative remarks obviously have never tried the patches. When you first start using them, the odor is repulsive. Have you ever noticed the odor of sick or old people? This is from toxic matter in the body. When you first use the patches, the drawing feeling will literaly keep you awake the first few days. After using them a couple of weeks, I was able to wear my wedding and engagement rings that I had not been able to wear for ten years. Unless your willing to give these patchs a good test, your opinions are worthless.
The detox patches and the aqua foot detox machine is a SCAM !!
It has become popular so there are people who are making lots of money on this product.
I was supposedly detoxed twice. And the water changed color, but I do not believe that toxins were released out of my system. I think the color change of the water is the result of electrolysis of the water.
My personal opinion is that foot detox is a SCAM !!!!!
Those using the machines are NOT MEDICAL DOCTORS. They are not REGISTERED NURSES AND THEY DO NOT HAVE MASTERS IN PUBLIC HEALTH.
They are not licensed. They buy a machine, charge between $30 - $50 for a 30 minute detox session, they put on scrubs, they read the brochure and VOILA !! They are now a 'therapist'.
When someone states they are M.D., PhD, MPh, BS then they should state the University from which they graduated. Most of the 'naturotherapists' graduate from off the wall, UNACCREDITED, obscure so-called colleges(?) that most people have never heard of anyway.
I think the foot detox is a SCAM ! But then again, there are people who are making money on this scam and hype.
You have some pretty good cons about the foot pads, and it is good to be skeptical of anything that sounds too good to be true. I LOVE the Master Cleanser diet, so I am definitely a proponent of that, like you suggest.
I do sell the foot pads, I created my website and import them from a company that I feel has high quality measures and produces a quality foot pad (my company is www.purifyyourbody.com and it is a hobby -- as my passion is health and alternative medicine).
Here are a couple points that I would like to make about the foot pads.
1. I have had many people "TEST" the pads in a lab... to do this correctly you need to test an un-used, un-altered pad using it as a control. Then, you test a used pad. Many lab reports show lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium (how does one get cadmium in their system!!) and also pthlalates which are plastic by-products. This shows that the pads DO pull these heavy metals out of your body.
Another way to test is if you get a blood test done and it shows abnormal high levels of lead, for example... then you start using the pads and after 30 days of use, re-test your blood, and see your lead levels decline. I have had this done on one of my client's whose grandson had lead poisoning.
2. The process is through the lymphatic system, it drains the lymphatic system through the process of osmosis, which was taught in high school biology. It is the same process in which you water the ROOTS of a plant, yet the nutrients in the water are able to get to the tallest leaf 100 feet up!
3. Regarding whether the pads work -- once you use them and detox thoroughly, the pads come clean in the morning... I used to use them every night, 3 pads on each foot. My arches "came clean" first -- and now I only use them as maintenance on that location, as they aren't gooey in the morning anymore. However, my toes (which correlate to my head, ears, sinuses, eyes, etc) always seem to be filled with goo and toxins. My feet have NEVER sweat and whether I use them with or without socks, I still get the same results.
Thanks for letting me share my comments on the foot pads, they ARE great products. If you do a full detox, it will take time and costs money. If you can do the Master Cleanse, do that instead -- it is a lot cheaper, but takes a LOT of willpower. I know I can guarantee to you that my foot pads that I sell will take toxins out. That is the best that I can say about them.
Good luck to all :)
god, i can't believe in this day and age people really believe in something like those detox patches. It reminds me of some special i saw on TV where some voodoo evangelist or something just cupped some red liquid and a strand of cloth or something in his hand, and then pretended to pull the 'evil' out of some poor sap's stomach, right through his skin.
they work. i have used them for months. i was so sick. now im better.
it took a while but they worked.
My aunt gave my wife a package of this foot detox. I am examining it and it stinks. Instead of sticking on my foot overnight and dirtying my bed I sprayed it with filtered water (RO). Voila. It turns brown.
Chances of it drawing toxins out of your feet? Very unlikely Making your feet sweat overnight and wetting the pad? very likely. Having the medicine absorbed through the sole of your feet? Very likely. Is the "medicine" safe? No one will bother tell you the truth.
Before becoming a sceptic please do your research and provide scientific evidence if you're claiming something.
What do you do when you have a headache - most people take a white tablet. Now, don't tell me silly little tablet is going to get rid of that headache.
It's got nothing to do with making money. It's not competing with Pepsi or Cola - that's what people should be staying away from . Manufactured sugar with food coloring and water who knows from where.
Blah.... too much time wasted here just reading the whole damn shit.
I myself am a bit skeptical, but I guess unless I actually try them, I will never know. However, I find it quite interesting that skeptics are so hip to put these foot pads down as "too good to be true", but I have a question. Doctors prescribe birth control patches and nicotine patches, and these have been proven to work- is it so hard to believe that the reverse can happen with a detox patch? Thanks for letting me get my two cents in.
Excellent article and very good hub
Despite a lot of negative nellies and naysayers I DO believe these patches work and if you are skeptical at least try them before you discount them. As for the master cleanse, yes it definately works, but the article says it only takes a few days-INCORRECT! If done properly it is a 10 day cleanse with an additional 2 days to come off it properly, any less is useless, the body needs a minimum of this much time to detoxify.
Just a quick note to all those that seem to be concerned that cleanses and foot patches and such aren't endorsed by the western medical proffession; since when have they really been able to help prevent disease and degeneration? All modern health proffesionals do is prescribe treatment after a disease has already manifested in the body. Ask a health prof. how much time in their training was spent on nutrition and prevention.....they'll tell you it was approx. a total of 8 hours of all their studies!!!! Crazy but true! And why? look into who funds medical universities, need i say more.
I am on my third night as I wear the detox patches and write this. I have one on each foot. I am trying them with much skeptism in mind.
However, regardless of how the patches turn brown -- sweaty feet, or whatever... I do notice I have more energy & feel better. One main complaint of mine was fatigue & weakness. After two days, I am stronger with less fatigue.
I am waiting for when the detox pads stop turning color. I do notice they are comprised of what already looks like a brown mix of herbs. Add water & they turn brown, I am sure.
I notice that the herbs stimulate (tingle) the bottom of my feet. I don't feel that my feet are "sweaty" where the patches are. I am like the above lady poster and do not have sweaty feet (nor palms).
It makes sense that the herbs can be absorbed through the skin which in turn stimulates the lymph system. For this, I would be very glad. After reading the above posts, I am now going to go and find the master cleansing diet and start this as well.
Wouldn't it be so nice that the patches actually pull lymph fluid with its toxins right out -- including heavy metals & plastics? What about the lab tests with a control patch? I am keeping my fingers crossed!
In the meantime, at 54 yrs old, with lots of toxin exposure, I do feel better after two days.
Thanks for posting this article. I was just looking at some of those foot detox pads in a popular cosmetic catalog and almost ordered them for myself. Now after reading your article, I'm glad I didn't purchase them and waste my money in the process. I think you are right.
Try going to the gym, eating a balanced diet, and streching. Drink lots of water and quit looking for miracle methods!
I have been researching these foot pads for awhile now to see if there were scientific results proving that they work or don't. My feet have been hurting on the outsides of both feet for about 4 months now. I also had a rash on both ankles and calves that no one could explain except for my massage therapist. He does a foot massage and lo and behold the feet stop hurting and the rash goes away, I asked him what it was and he said that my body was storing toxins in my feet and that by massaging the points in my feet the toxins would break up and flush out. After about a week it all comes back. It was driving me crazy ! I would do anything to make this go away ! I read about the foot detox pads and said, what the hell do I have to lose, I'll try them. I ordered a box and started using them two days ago. The first night I woke up after only sleeping for two hours and was up for the next three, I could feel something weird going on in my feet, the pads were very brown in the morning but didn't smell bad. I used them again last night and this morning the pad was again brown and didn't smell bad but my feet don't hurt this morning and the rash is gone. I don't care what you skeptics say, I believe that they are working and I will continue to spend my hard earned money to continue this detox and I will tell all of my friends ! Maybe I'll even sell them and make a fortune !
I say this.... when the eagle has flown to the crows nest and hatched a purple pelican, this is when the footpatches will work. Now evryone needs to go to youtube.com and pull up a search for ipecac drinking jacka** and watch "Lance" do his thing. This is the kind of guy who would fall for the ole foot patch and foot bath scam. Now then, let er rip Lance.
I am a medical lab tech and have recently Analyzed several of these so called detox foot patches. It was my professional opinion that there was no possible way they could be effective....untill i did multiple lab test. the fact is that the used patches that i looked at contained massive amount of , mercury, lead, nickel, arsenic, aluminum, benzene, isopropyl alcohol and even trace amounts of copper. I do not know how these pads work i can not say weather or not they will assist anyone medically. however when i tested the unused patch i found only natural ingredients. the used patched came from my wife and my oldest son so i am possitive they were not tampered with. the fact is they do what they say they do. weather or not its a cure for anything, well the FDA says no, weather or not you trust the FDA is up to you.
I have tried the patches on both feet for a week with gooey brown results in the morning. I also, assumed the body heat and sweat leeched the dark substance in the pad onto my feet. After a week, I put one pad under my arm and one on top of my foot. I put pressure on the one under my arm to simulate pressure one might have after walking with one on the bottom of the foot, There was little brown substance on the one under my arm and none on the top of my foot. Ya got me as to weather they work? LOL
just started using the detox foot pads and i like them also my feet felt funny in the mornings like they were asleep ornumb when i would wake up I felt tired all the time and sort of numb. I am on all sort of medicine for pain etc. but i have been using the pads for 3 days now and have noticed a difference in the color of my skin and the feeling in my feet and legs also not as tired. to early to tell yet but so far i am very pleased with the results my feet feel like feet again.
I started using the foot patches last night and I too slept for several hours then was up another 3 or 4 hours. My feet hurt almost all night. They don't normally do that unless I've been on them alot. It was like I could feel the pads working. They were dark and liquidy and my feet DO NOT sweat. Its too early to tell if they will make me feel better but I am not skeptical because at least I am trying the product before I knock it. Obviously the skeptical ones on here have never used medicine patches ie birth control, pain, nicotine.
I just started wearing the detox pad's to see if they work and for me they do. when i wake up in the morning my feet fee swollen and funny like they are stiff when they hit the floor. Since I have been trying the pad's my feet and leg's feel better and I an begging to notice a difference in my body not hurting so bad. Just to be sure. I stopped using them for a couple of night's to see what would happen and I noticed the differenc almost instantly. So for me I BELIEVE.
I've used the foot patches as well and Im convinced they work, after a couple of nights of use, i wake up in the morning less fatigued, have more energy. For the skeptics, I felt the same as you until I tried them and one thing, apart from how I feel with them, that tells me they work - If as you claim, it is purely the moisture in sweat that changes the colour, then how does the colour go lighter and lighter until it ends up clear after a few days of use??
Dr Mitch Brown, no offence, but for a highly educated Doctor, your spelling is truly abysmal. (I thought it was their handwriting that was supposed to be bad !) That aside, I've tried the footpads and can say with certaintly that they DO most definately work. As stated by many people above, they definately help if you're feeling fatigued !
N***** please... these pads are retarded.
I was a skeptic about these detox pads really drawing impurities from my body under the feet soles but i just had to try them for awhile. Believe me something is going on under them pads when i'm in bed for the night and in the morning those pads have been all used up for what they're worth. Not only does it seem like they are working but the hair on my balding head is actually starting to fill in !
i'm am happier then a pig in mud and will continue to use these pads at any cost.
I have been using the foot patch for over a week now and I wake up in the morning less fatigued, have more energy. I think they work.
Funny how all the people who havent used them are the ones bashing them, and then vise versa.
You know, it's funny. You have lab techs saying that all sorts of impurities have been found after analyzing the used pads as opposed to finding only natural ingredients on the unused pads. You morons who have never tried the patches should keep your big fat mouths shut before making yourselves look so stupid.
I am all for a candid debate about the Foot Pad Detox methods. But what makes me not want to read this thread is the rampant acts of poor spelling and grammar. If you want someone to take you seriously, then I would suggest learning to spell and write properly. Really, if you are old enough to explore alternative medicine, then you are old enough to know how to spell.

I am really into all things health but dont see how foot patches will cure all my ills. How will using these things energize me? I wont be wasting my hard earned money on this crack pot idea. Gonna stick with my meatless diet and my health spa.

I have used these pads for 5 days. The first few days I saw very dark brown spots on the pads. I felt very tired after the first two days. Then I felt more energy and some inches lost off my stomach. I also noticed more bowel movements(very deep if you get my drift) The instructions say to do this for 14 to 30 days , since this is only day 5 the jury is still out. Maybe it depends on the brand that you use. NOw I have bamboo vinegar. it is said to bring out all the metals and excess toxins.
Just started tonight, we each have one foot pad on, we'll see how it goes ;)
I personally have used foot pads along with other "all-natural" healing products, and have to agree that they do work. I did notice more energy and actually woke up with a great attitude in the morning, when I usually sleep until the early afternoon. When I placed the pads on the bottoms of my feet, they were sticky, dark in color, and just gross all-around in the morning. (No my feet do not sweat at night nor any other time.) One night for shits and giggles I put one on the back of my hand along with one on each foot. By morning the pad on my hand was lighter than the ones on my feet, it was not sticky (and the ones on my feet still were) totally different results all together. So yes, I do believe they work. But hey, to each is own. Personally, I think that if you want a really good cleanse before trying to detox with just pads, start at the root of the problem, the colon. That's where your problems start!!
I purchased the pads and have used them for two nights. It's too early to say how I feel or that they work - the jury is still out. I must say, it's good to have a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to anything these days. When you just believe whatever you hear or read, you are going to get taken sooner or later. That, however, doesn't mean that everything is a scam. Asian (or pardon the term "Oriental") medicine has long been rejected by Western medicine as based off of bogus beliefs and unsound science. I don't believe the Chinese, for instance, have been practicing this type of medicine for 4000 years if it was based off of lies. I agree with one of the previous posts that said "All modern health professionals do is prescribe treatment after a disease has already manifested in the body". I read all the posts referring to this article and I have to say that every person who had something negative to say had a) never used the pads or b) based all their negative claims off of their own assumptions. Even this article said, "As for the color change most people note in their foot detox pads, the wood vinegar may be responsible for this phenomenon" - "MAY" be responsible??? This obviously means that the person who wrote this article had performed no tests or proven any other way that this is what caused the color change. All this author had to do was to purchase the pads, use them, provide a unused and used sample to a lab, and have them run tests to see what they found - that's just good journalism if you are writing an article debunking something. This article's author was either extremely lazy or just had so many negative assumptions going in that it clouded their objectivity. Do these pads work? Maybe, maybe not, but let me just say that this article and negative posts don't convince me that they do not.
The article is based on 'assumptions' and 'suppositions' based on inductive reasoning but the conclusion is wrong because the premises are wron. I am am a physician specialist in Internal Medicine. The above premise that the skin cannot detoxify to any great extense is wrong. The skin is the largest organ in the body and among one of its important functions is detoxification through perspiration. When I was a medical student our medical team treated a patient with Mercury poisoning by inducing ecessive sweating along with other modalities to speed up the elimination of Mercury. Furthermore the foot has a excellent blood supply and which is close to the body surface. As the circulation enters the arterioles in the feet it carries with it the toxins in our blood. It makes hemodynamic sense that one could filter out toxins on at this point. I have spoken to many coleagues who agree that from a pathophysiological mechanism this makes logical sense. The skin breathes, eliminates, and protects (remeber Goldfinger where the woman dies when her skin is occluded with paint?). I suggest one goes to a a text references on physiology before printing assumptions as fact. You do a diservice to those who might benefit. Even if there is no utiity in this method one should reject it on sSOUND scientific basis but not on assumptions and what one remembers from Biology 101. Furthermore Accupuncture is well establish in mainstream medicine and currently offerred and paid for by insurance companies. Look up meridians in accupuncture for more info.
Hope this helps those who are confused. Lessons learned: Do REAL scientific literature and text research before giving an opinion.
Why the skeptics are so vocal is beyond me. They claim 'money scam', but for 28 bucks for 2 weeks supply, shipping included, I think there are bigger risks. I certainly wouldn't believe the FDA claims, they say vitamins have no value, either. Herbal alternatives to synthetic chemicals are frequently criticized, because they do not give drug manufacturers anything to patent and soak the public for. If you have not tried them, and I have not, nor do I sell them or have any other vested interest, you have no business dismissing them based on arrogance. Every day, we willingly expose our bodies to countless chemicals. If you fear what these natural ingredients may do to your body, I suggest a lot less than that deodorant you put under your pit every day. I probably will try them soon.
John,
You say "Before becoming a sceptic please do your research and provide scientific evidence if you're claiming something."
Skeptics do not need scientific evidence to prove anything. In much the same way a skeptic doesn't need scienfic evidence to disprove the existence of leprechauns or faries; the burden of proof lies with those who tout, believe, and sell such scams. The problem? There is ZERO scientific evidence these work. Why? Because they DON'T!
There are two reasons why products like this can't and won't get FDA approval. 1). They aren't safe and/or 2) They don't work.
Believe what you want to believe. But they do not work and are simply scams to part the gullible from their $$$.
P.S. All those "MD" and "PhD" posters should be ashamed of themselves. Boooo!
I am curious as to whether they work or not and wanted to do some homework on the subject. I have heard a lil from both sides, and it is funny how most people who have never tried a product can disclaim it. Most medical doctors are against alternative health because I think it is lack of education on their part, and most are given incentives by pharmaceutical companies to push their medicine. So I don't care if a doctor does not endorse a product or says it will not work, because it could be pure ignorance on his part. Lab studies on the other hand do interest me, because most are controlled and if done right, unbiased. For those who talk snake oil take into consideration history. Yes history has proven alot of things were not good for us or did anything at all. But you also must consider the many medications/supplements that have been proven when they went through alot of negative publicity. Do you think vitamins were so openly recieved when they first made the breakthrough? How many disagree vitamins are not good for us now? As for the placebo effect, yes that is possible as well. I feel though even if it is your mind, which I doubt it could fool everyone nothing is that good, who cares? If it makes you feel better or even makes you think so, then whats $20 for a peace of mind.
First I'd like to say, Dr. Mitch Brown... I find it hard to believe you are truly a medical doctor considering the fact that you can't properly spell, for instance the word "whether."
Back to the issue - as an educated person I feel it's unlikely this product can do all that it claims. It strikes me as a trendy new cure-all without merit. However, I have to admit that my curiosity is getting the better of me. The medical community has by no means scratched the surface of what's possible in human healing, and considering it took over 10 years for me to get a simple diagnosis of insulin resistance, I have little faith in the traditional medical community as a whole.
So, I'm going to give this foot patch a try - as a skeptic, but with an open mind. No matter how many reviews I read on both sides of the fence, I will not be able to make a final decision until I've tried it for myself... what's the harm in that?
all these supposed "doctors" showing up to support the product are not doctors at all, but people selling the product themselves, somewhere along the line.
how about this reasoning:
the "detox" pads, soaked in herbs, get absorbed into your body, something in the sweat/moisture of your feet stain the pads, turning them brown.., with your body's conntinued influx of whatever herbs are found in the pad, the herbs block the body frmo producing a certain chemical, which, now no longer being emitted from your body, no longer can stain the pad.
its a simple magic trick you people are paying top dollar for and there is nothnig to say the intake of that herb is safe.
I had never herd of this type of detox until yesterday, when I was visiting a friend, and she told me she had just ordered some, and explained how they work. I am excited for her, and I hope she finds the relief that she's looking for. I have also lived with chronic pain for years. My concern is, since I don't make much money.... if I try the pads, and use them until they are clear in the morning...(a few weeks)??? If I stop using them...the pain will return. So, is this something that folks have to continue buying for the rest of thier lives? I want to feel better, but I don't want to end up being a third degree bag-lady living under a park bench eating Alpo, so I can afford to buy the foot pads!!! Do you become "dependent" on them??
I too am a sckeptic and I can have a very closed mind. It is very good to be sceptical and ask a lot of questions. We live in a world were it seems to be opened season on comsumers. There is a lot of evil and it does not matter the industry, there is no end to amount of the scaming and lying that goes on just to brand the comsumer and to try to make us think that we need or want something so bad that we open up our wallet. The almight dollar is of highest value not the human comsumer. It is really backward thinking though, in my opinion. As long as yearly revenues increase it does not matter if it's at the expense of human health or life. In my humble opinion, every industry, and govenment for that matter, is guilty to varying degrees. It is hard to be opened minded about new or unusual things given the environment that we live in. It's very hostile. But I have learned too, that I can pay off to be open-minded also. I have a couple of examples. I am 50 years old, but in 1987, I was involved in a car accident on a icy road as a passenger. The vehicle was brand new. We were not traveling very fast as we had just started up a mountain pass, when the car skidded and went off the shoulder of the road and went end over end. The vehicle was totaled as a complete loss. I always wore a seat belt, but this day I did not. Obviously I my body flew every which way inside the vehicle and I am very thankful to be alive. Because of this accident I was in a great deal of pain. I went to a couple of doctors but outside of pain relievers or muscle relaxents I had no success with medical doctors. I really was desparate pain relief. I received A friend of mine was a going to school to become a certified rolfer after her husbands sudden death. This is what she chose to do to provide an imcome for her and her two small children, she really believed in it. It did not, not even remotely, in fact I would scofted to myself because I thought it totally rediculous (this was back in 1987 before anything like this was even well known and definetly not cool yet). I did not believe in it at all. But because I was trying to be supportive to my friend I let her practice her rolfing on me because she was required to get a great deal of practice hours in. I was helping my friend that was all. Do you think I was shocked when I got some huge relief from my back pain after the second session. I could not have been more shocked than I was. My friend and her rolfing sessions helped me out so much I cannot begin to tell anyone. They would have had to have the amount of pain themselves and experience it for themselves to believe it. That was my first experience and a great lesson at having a more opened mind which I did not have before then. I have encouraged everyone I have ever talked to that has had various pain to try rolfing or even massage ever since, because it really helped me. I never gained anything except that maybe someone took my advise and hopefully was helped in some way. Two years ago, I saw a television program that showed the negative ionic foot baths that detoxified a person through their feet. After the show, I called a few people, got on the internet and researched it for a couple of months. Then I had to muster some courage cause it seemed really bizare and I had a healthy dose of hesitation. I decided to try it out and searched out to find out where I could try this detoxification. Before I went inside I looked it my rearview mirror (I do this sometimes before getting out of my car or house because I am self-conscience), my eyes where swollen and puffy as usual because I have problems with allergies. My feet were put in a water bath with some instumentation. I remember thinking how unusual it was and questioned what I was doing. But, just like on the television program the clear distilled water in the foot bath became very discolored but you could still see the bottom of the bath. My feet were very clean before this treatment. It may sound rather repulsive, but the water was rather nastly looking with white matter floating on top and also some dark colored pieces the size of sand on the bottom of the bath. The water also had an odor that was not all that pleasant. I know this may discuss people but this is honestly what happened. No one put anything in the water. Something rather nasty came out of my body through the pores on my feet as unbelievable as it was. I was there, and I experienced it and I really did not know what I should think about it. What was this matter that came out of me this way. My mind was asking a lot of questions. I did not notice feeling any different at that time. When I got back in my car to go home, I looked in my rearview mirror before leaving the parking lot and noticed a drastic reduction of the swelling around my eyes. I was happy about that and drove home. It wasn't until the next day that I was shocked when I noticed that I did't have any stiffness it my joints. For a few years I have had a gradual stiffening of my joints in my lower back and limbs and it was getting serious. This is one of the reasons I thought detoxing might help. I have gone to have these detox treatments again after a few months when I start noticing the stiffness returning in my joints. Now I do free advertizing for this because although I was sckeptical, I tried something different and weird, and you know what? It helped me. How can I not tell people about this. It helped me feel better! There are many things I don't understand. This is one of them. But also, I don't understand how my vehicle works, my furnace, my toilet, my computer, and I could go on and on. My point is there are many things I use all the time and think nothing of how it works, I care that they work. I am doing some research on the foot pads now. I'll probably end up buying some after I decide which ones I may chose to try. If it is the same principle as the water foot baths it may very likely work the same. I will find out for myself. My point is in a world where we seem to almost expect to be scammed by everyone, there is good among the bad. I have been scammed by companies, but had I not had an opened mind I would not have found something that was very helpful to me. An I'm most certain that it is not in my head. I am very frugal with my money, or I try to be. I would rather have the money I spent for these treatments in my pocket. I found that rolfing and ionic foot bath detoxification very helpful. I would otherwise not spend my hard earned money on either. If someone has tried these foot pads and it hasn't worked for them okay then they have a place of reference to speak. If someone has never tried them (book knowledge or not) I don't understand. I don't know how someone can speak out foot pads (yea or nea) without knowing about them first hand by using them first.
I haven't used the foot detox pads yet but I am certainly planning on doing so. I am just one of the millions of women with those wonderful safe silicone breast implants. As far as the FDA and ANYONE else on this planet that say they were or are safe I can say they are dead wrong. When I use the word dead, it is literally because what we are suffering with ruptured implants and the toxic poisoning all in our bodies. Right now it is in my brain, lungs, liver, and bloodstream. Well, it is throughout my whole body. The FDA allowed this to happen with the governments blessings for MONEY. I just lost my youngest brother to AGENT ORANGE from Viet Nam. Remember, how the government refused to admit to this? Well, there is no way possible to ever describe the horrible pain I have been going through because of toxic poisoning because I had to have breast surgery back in the late 70's and they said THE IMPLANTS ARE SAFE AND WILL LAST A LIFETIME. Well, I have lost 2 good friends from this safe mess. About the detox pads. YES, they must work since there are thousands of women who will tell you how that is all the relief they get with their feet and legs. I just found out about them and I can't wait to start using them. These horrid chemicals are coming out of my skin as it is so maybe there is something that is out there for this too. Thank you for reading this. PLEASE DON'T THINK THE GOVERNMENT ESPECIALLY THE FDA WILL EVER HELP. lOOK AT ALL THE RECALLS ON MEDICINES [POISONS], and devices. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
I had heard so much about these pads, I thought I'd give them a try. After one night, I am still a little skeptical. I figure it can't hurt though. As for those who tested used pads in the lab and found those chemicals. My thought is where are they coming from? Our food, the environment? That's what we really should be worried about and find ways to eliminate it before it ever enters our bodies.
I have used the foot pads for a month, one on the bottom of each foot. Every morning they were brown and yucky. I did not notice any difference in the way I felt or slept. I do not know if I need to use them longer or if this is a waste of money. I have not decide if I am going to reorder or not.
Maybe if you shave a spot on your head and stick one one it,it will draw out all those dead brain cells that make you think these pads work!!!
why is it that no one wants to answer the phone at the customer service dept.? I placed an order - wanted to ask some questions, and have been "on hold" waiting for a representative to finally pick up my call...now I'm worried that I have been duped...I hope the pads work better than the company!!!
if the discoloration is due to a reaction to sweat then how come there was more of the gunk on my sock shortly after i took the pads off? i put the pads on at about 3 am. i ended up wearing them to work because it hadn't nearly been the 8-10 hours that were recommended. when i took them off i wiped my feet clean with some alcohol wipes. i wiped them until there was no residue seen on the wipes. i put my sock and shoes back on and went on with my day. (i also saved the pads to have them analyzed). shortly afterwards i noticed my socks were sticking to my feet from moisture in the area where the pads had been. i take my shoes off and notice brown spots almost the same color as the pads as if there was some post drainage of toxins that were on their way out when i took the pads off. i am positive the gunk didn't leak thru the pads. for those of u that claim the gunk is just a reaction to sweat or whatever, my question to you is did my socks too just react to the sweat? and if so then how come they never reacted to sweat before today?
i've been using these for 2 days, and i'm on my 3rd. the pad turns brown which is to be expected but there seems that the pad is full of gunk in the morning.
I don't know that i "feel" any better yet. That's to be determined. I'm going to try to avoid any kind of placebo effect reportings.

well if it pulls out heavy metals, I think i would try to use a magnet on a used pad to see...
Perhaps out of curiousity, I purchased a 7-day supply of these patches after watching an infomercial. The jury is still out on whether they do all that they claim to do: (draw out toxins, improve sleep, provide more energy, eliminate pain, etc. etc.) I agree with previous comments made about the improbability of the pores being able to excrete heavy metals and toxins. As for the change in color after having the patch come in contact with the feet, Has anyone tried soaking a patch in plain WATER or exposing one in an area where there is heavy moisture like a sauna or shower. If anyone tries this experiment, include the findings on an infomercial and let the rest of us suckers know!!.
It's interesting to read the various comments on 'Why not try the foot pads' or 'How can you be so sceptical without trying them'
Here's the simple logic. Let's say you pay one time for these pad at $20. You are one of say, 1000 people who all decide to try them once, that's $20,000 the scam artist just made from these patches. That also means that your $20 is now not in your wallet but instead it is in the bank account of the seller of these patches. It obviously makes sense then for them to post as many claims as possible if it just gets you to the point of trying them one time. Then they move on to something else and the cycle starts again. In short, these patches are designed to extract money from your wallets. Around the $20 mark is the range best suited to get someone to try a particular fad of the moment.
The liver and kidneys of your body excel at removing toxins, occasionally you may want to take something that helps bind the remaining toxins to assist the filtration but to accept that your body will magically send all the toxins in your body to your feet for extraction through the walls of the veins and then the skin is, putting it mildly, ludicrous.
Bottom line here is that it's your money, if you want to send it to these people selling this junk it's your decision. they want it, will say anything to get it. They have no scruples, do not care how healthy or sick, old or young you are, are usually smart and understand basic chemistry so that they can make things appear to 'change color' or 'smell bad'
Best way you can detoxify, drink filtered water, buy one of those brita filters, it makes more filtered water at a lot less price than buying bottled water from questionable sources. Cut out sugars wherever possible. Avoid fried foods especially fast food where the oil has been heated and reheated. Eat higher fiber foods, fish that are resistant to absorbion of heavy metals, Salmon is really good.
Good luck
for albert: if the pads are what draw the toxins out, how could removing them continue to draw them out?
You appear to speak in defense of the pads as though they work, yet your claim contradicts such.
i submit to you, you didn't do as thorough a job cleaning your feet as you claim. wore the same socks as when the pads were worn, stepped in something left by your dog, or never wore the pads in the first place.
for tohers, read my previous posting for the magic trick that is detox pads.
I regularly use scientific research and proof-of-concept techniques for my own work as a computer scientist. I normally don't rush off when I see something new come along and embrace it without careful research. In fact, I pay extremely close attention to both sides of an argument and then design my own experiments that test my hypothesis and suppositions. However, I do believe in keeping an open mind to new ideas. After 30 years of scientific endeavor, I find that closed minds who do not at a minimum, consider that a new idea is possible, are doomed to a life of believing that the universe can only be one way. In this collection of threads, I've seen behaviors from those whose minds have snapped shut and who live in a sea of negative thought. For them, I only wish that things could improve in their view of the world.I had my own brush with a terrible shingles attack in 2006 and early 2007. It went after my eyes and I spent four months in pure agony that can only be described as horrific days of pain I would not wish on anyone. The lack of medical understanding and knowledge about this common disease surprised me and I was left on my own to find answers. At age 48, I began researching the root causes of shingles and found that a combination of stress and a compromised immune system had been at the root of my own troubles. The immune and body systems were in sad disrepair and needed support. I began looking to alternatives because the very medical establishment which supposedly had the answers had left me with none after serious inquiries and some very direct and embarassing revelations by my own doctors who told me they didn't have all of the answers of how to treat the aftermath of shingles. While I valued the use of their antivirals which saved my sight and halted the initial attack, they did not know how to bring me back to full health or how to explain why this had happened to me in the first place. I was on my own. I suffered months of recurrent (but less severe) attacks, sudden and sharp pains and days when I had hardly any energy left to function. I had nights of body twitches, inexplicable bleeds and skin rashes appearing and then leaving. So, I began to study myself and then treat myself. What else to do? I was suddenly my own research project.I began to understand that the human immune system is compromised by many factors, including poisons introduced by chemicals and unnatural combinations of materials that are not capable of being excreted by the body without external assistance. Combine these with advancing age and it is no surprise that the chicken pox virus that lay dormant in my body reactivated one fine day and began destroying my nervous system quite effectively. Fortunately for me, I took action for the better and turned the corner with a lot of help and my own research. This said, I have conducted strong and serious research for the past year. I have found that a combination of therapy has aided in my complete recovery. These were:1. Two capsules of Omega-3 fish oil daily.2. One litre of lemon water daily (for vitamin C and detoxing my body).3. At least 8 hours sleep nightly.4. Use of the "gold" pad variety of foot detox patches.5. Periodic use of internal cleansing products (colon and liver).6. A change in my job to reduce the stress. I returned to my laboratory and got out of company politics and "position" based cares.7. Finally, I use periodic sweats and/or baths with salt water to help excrete toxins from my body.8. I watch what I eat and exercise when I can. Each of these therapies was researched heavily and vetted with scientific research and practical testing on myself. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I speak thus of my results from experience and hard-won knowledge. The omega oils helped disperse the nerological symptoms (twitching). The nerve sheathing needed rebuilding and the use of these oils did a great job and continue to do so, also benefiting my cardiovascular system at the same time. The lemon water has proven to be a Godsend and I rarely get a cold or even a sniffle anymore. I'm losing weight, slowly but surely as this seems to be one of the items clearing my body of 40+ years of pure abuse heaped on it by yours truly. The sleep is letting my body recover and has given me a new lease on life. While I still have a long ways to go energy -wise, I'm definitely improving. Getting less sleep only depletes the body. Go with what your body wants and you will profit from the increased energy and recharging of your immune system that results. The gold detox patches were a fortunate discovery. I found them by absolute chance and after researching them carefully, ordered a set and did find them to be much as many others discuss... the sheer smell of the goo and strange chemicals I've noted that coat the base of the pads after an evening of use are not due to some falsehood, but are instead due to a very real and unusual reaction of the body to these materials. The effect is very real and very potent. I am going to be taking some of mine in for a mass spectrometer reading to see what is coming out and will compare the chemistry of these used pads versus the unused for my own curiousity to be satisfied, but I have checked the research papers on the topic and the consensus does confirm that presence of these heavy metals and toxins on the pads post-use. And I feel better when I use them. Enough said! Some work better than other. I tried a number of different types and found that there are pads and then there are pads. The gold detox pads seem to work best for me.
The job change was a god-send. The one thing my doctor told me to do that did help (other than the Famcyclovir tablets for stopping the virus in mid-stream) was to cut the stress and stop the cycle of the attacks by a huge factor. This single action is about 50% of the reason I began to heal, but in talking with other shingles victims, I found that there was much work to do beyond a single life-change. The notion of using salt baths and sweats is complimentary to the whole notion of using internal methods of detox and the external patches. The skin is the largest organ of the body and does excrete poisons very effectively, especially if helped along by good habits and techniques. Note that the hair is also capable of these things, bringing poisons out of the body and to the surface in a similar manner. Finally, the obvious... Watch the foods and eat lots of greens and get exercise by walking and activity whenever possible. I walk a lot and also use outdoor photography as a means to get my outdoor time...
I apologize for the long note here. It is just that I saw so many negative views here that I felt compelled to speak from real experience and from the view of a scientist who has looked at all sides and used the science to benefit himself... I can only recommend to those who talk without experience or true knowledge that they go get their blood and tissue tested for toxicity and then to try some of these techniques to see how it works on themselves.
As for blaming the environment and people around you for what is wrong with the world and pollution causing these problems, I suggest you start with yourself and begin remaking your environment into one that sustains rather than tears your down. It is easy to talk the talk, harder to walk it. Remove the causes of the problems and counter those coming at you and you prevail. Railing about the injustice of a polluted world while it is killing you may be justified, but while others talk, I'm cleaning my body and fighting back thank you very much!
Good luck and I hope the little regimen I discovered helps others find answers! Remember to involve your doctors and be sure they are part of the whole team too... I kept my G.P. involved the whole way and she has been very supportive and understanding of my journey. She also kept me balanced in my approach and learned from me as much as I did from her.Jon
Wow! A lot of comments! They alternate from extreme pro to extreme con.
I have not used them, but I have been thinking about trying them. The only way to find out seems to be to try them and see if they work.
If there is one thing I have learned, it is to never trust anyone, and to find out for yourself if something works.
Some say, Yes! they feel great, others say, "It's a scam!"
Why is there no gray area between these black and white opinions?
The examples given are that the "FOOT PADS" turn black or brown, and smell fowl during the first week. After they detoxify, by the end of a month the come off clear. We all sweat at least a pint of sweat directly from our feet in one day. That is the reason we have socks.
The main problem I see with these pads is that this is not a one time cure to your toxin problems. They must be continuously used, and therefore rebought and sold. Money and greed has become a common priority in American business.
However, I will not say that they work or do not work, because I HAVE NOT TRIED THEM. I would like to find out the truth. Which means, I will have to buy them and try them myself and see how they work and if I feel any different.
Please let me know if you know that they are available in local stores now like Walgreens so I can get some. I think they might be worth a try and if they don't work, don't buy them.
Everything put on our skin is circulated through our entire body with in 10 minutes! Don't believe me, try this: Put a peeled clove of garlic between your toes, you will taste garlic in your mouth with in 10 minutes. Doesn't cost much, but will show you the skin's rate of being able to absorb and circulate. So logic would tell you if it can absorb and circulate, it would be able to circulate these herbs and excrete the toxins just as fast. It is a known fact mercury can be absorbed through the skin and poison you. You are supposed to wear gloves when handling most cleaners today, not just to protect your skin but to protect you! The FDA does not want us to find natural cures that they don't regulate. Pharmaceuticals are big business! They want everyone even our children on atleast one prescription and not just for a week for life. Talk about Mama's little helper, now they want to help us all! The best part is when they get you on one they can give you another to fix the side effects from the first. We should all be searching for natural cures, good for us and our environment. Life expectancy is up, but it is not just about quantity but quality when you start looking at those years. Who wants to live to be 90+ if you go in to a home or can't care for yourself after 80! If you tried them and they didn't work for you, are you really nieve enough to think that means it won't work for anyone else. All of our body's are different and you will react differently to something than I will. The only way you know how it will work for you is to try it. I haven't tried them yet, but reading all these post has convinced me. You can tell the pesimist from the optimist rather quick! A lot can be said for positive thinking as well, and I will stop there.
maybe whatever was on the pad was absorbed by your sock. thus, the color change occured on your sock when it reacted to the sweat from your foot.

Well, I am just wondering if the pads have some kind of energy herbal concoction in them. This would definitely be absorbed through the skin and account for the energy changes in everyone that has tried them. i am a little afraid of trying something that obviously has something in it-herbal/natural or whatever they call it. Anyway, I'm not a Dr., but a nurse. Toxins are stored in your body in many different tissues-including your liver. A pad on your foot cannot "draw" toxins from your liver and pull them out your feet!! If you have toxins stored in your feet or the fat on your feet-then yes, there's a chance they could be drawn out. Eat healthy, drink water, fast once a month, and you will see a big change in your energy levels.
I for one am a 50/50 on this product. I had some money to kill, and curious to try this so I bought a pack. I've been using it for over a week and I feel a bit better. But I patially think it's hysteria, the fact that you believe it works actually encourages you to do more.
I know that the materials inside the pad react with liquid, creating a gooey substance (like water and flour) so there is no way to test if the pad really works unless you actually see less discoloration in the pad. In that case either:
A) it really works or
B) its messing with your sweat glands in your feet.
As for the gunk on your feet, this is what I believe. When your sweat meets the pad, it creates the gunk. But your feet are warm, suceptible to absorbing some of the gunk created. So its possible, that after you take a shower after taking the pad off that your foot absorbed some gunk, and sweat it back out.
Is anyone a lab scientist with some analytical machine of some sort?
I purchased a small package of the pads to try for myself. I used them on two consecutive nights and then again one night, about a week later. On all three occasions my legs ached, during the night and for several days after. Prior to using the pads I had no pain in my legs. I have discontinued using the patches because they provided no benefit for me, only pain.
Consider the following: If the detox pads are intended to remove “heavy metals” through the skin, what prevents them from removing the “less heavy” metals such as sodium, potassium, and calcium that are needed for proper muscle contractions? I wouldn’t be surprised if they leached some calcium from my system.
I would love to see a chemical analysis of the contents of the pads after use. The only analysis I found online was done with hair samples from people who used the pads, but not the pads themselves. Albert, I hope you will post the results of your analysis.
maybe the alcohol didnt get rid of the chemicals from the pads that were absorbed by the skin on your feet... the pads could contain a chemical that causes your feet to produce this "gunky" substance... the pads causing your feet to produce some gunk doesnt necessarily mean that your system is being magically cleansed... one possibility is that these pads cause some sort of localized cleansing... cleansing of what is another question... "if you believe it, you will see!"
Alternative therapies have long been frowned upon by the medicalprofession; yet despite that fact it is slowly gainingrecognition from the thousands of ordinary people around theworld as they turn away from 'traditional' medications, and theirlife threatening side-effects, to look for more natural ways ofcuring their ailments. At the forefront of this health revolution is Kenrico. Based inJapan, Kenrico manufactures top grade 'Detox Foot Pads', alsoknown as 'Detox Patches'. The pads work by drawing out harmfultoxins from the sole of the foot during sleep, therefore makingit at great option for today's busy lifestyles. Skeptics amongstyou may argue that it is not possible to detox the body at nightvia the sole of the foot, the answer to that would be to studythe latest scientific data from the recent trials carried out byKenrico.Order Detox Foot Pads today:http://www.fightingtoxins.com/productst.htmlThe trials were carried out over a six month period, starting witha complete body analysis of the subjects involved. The volunteersranged from forty-four to seventy three years of age and wereprimarily female, although there were also male subjects usedduring the trials. Each of the subjects underwent thorough testingbefore and after the trials and the changes in the results wereremarkable. The most significant of the results were the ones whichshowed that Kenrico Detox Pads can actually help to assist in thetreatment of conditions such as diabetes, liver and heart disease, reduce the risk of long term or serious infections and promote afeeling of general well-being.Let's look at each of the five subjects individually and assesstheir test results.1. A forty-four year old female was treated using twenty herbalpatches per week for a period of six months. The subject wastreated for raised cholesterol and blood sugar. The results ofthe trial showed that the levels dropped considerably followingthe treatment period, therefore reducing the risk of developingconditions associated with raised levels of either cholesterol orsugar; such as stroke or diabetes.2. A sixty-eight year old female was treated with the same amountand type of pad as the previous subject. This time it wasprescribed to support the liver and kidney functions. The resultsagain showed significant improvement following blood analysis, resulting in the threat of developing diabetes, gout andinfection being significantly reduced.3. A fifty year old male was prescribed patches as per theprevious subjects in order to combat Cholesterol and high levelsof blood sugar. As with the first subject the results showedsignificant improvement of the symptoms and also removed thepossibility of developing gout or infections.4. A seventy-three year old male was the subject of trial numberfour. He was again prescribed the Kenrico herbal patches, thistime to combat the increasing threat of developing Hepatitis andType-2 Diabetes. Again, the test results showed that the subjectshowed significant improvements in the blood analysis followingthe trial period than before embarking on the trial.5. The final trial subject was a twenty-three year old female. As with all the subjects, the treatment given was theaforementioned herbal patches. The subject was treated forimpaired kidney function. Following the trial the risk ofdeveloping gout and pre-diabetic conditions and the kidneyfunction showed significant improvement. One of the reasons for the remarkable findings from the trialanalysis can be explained by the manufacturing process of thepatches. Each of Kenrico's Detox Patches contains only qualityingredients, unlike many on the market that contain substandard(and in some cases dangerous) ingredients. Their factories aregenuine GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 9001:2000certified premises. It is also worth noting that Kenrico makethe only patches to be recommended by the Japanese Society ofPreventive & Alternative Medicine, thus assuring you of theirquality and potency.By regularly using one the Detox Patch varieties you may findthat your symptoms improve considerably and could even lead to a reduction in your regular medication, which can only be goodnews. For others who merely find that as they get older theytire more easily, or become increasingly susceptible to viruses,it may be the body's way of telling you that it needs a thoroughdetox regime to rebalance itself. There is an answer, whateverthe problem. That answer is Detox Foot Pads. Our Foot pads can help in a variety of ways, why not try them. What do you have to lose? I tried the foot pads a few months ago hoping to cure my insomnia, and yes, eventually that seems to be getting better. However, since using the pads regularly I've eperienced other things that I'm extremely excited about. My daily headaches are gone, the frequent dizziness is gone, and my energy levels are much better. The most amazing thing though is how my skin has cleared up. I noticed this starting to happen after only a few days of using the pads, and since there weren't any new variables in my life, I started to think that maybe the pads were extracting toxins out of my body that were previously causing my skin problems. I know that all this sounds crazy, but I have gone from being someone with obvious problem skin to someone who regularly gets complements about my complexion. And no, my problem wasn't teenage acne- I'm well into my 30's. All I can say is that it's worth a try. I'm hooked.
First, spelling and grammar mistakes annoy me too, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't have a valid opinion. Second, if anyone thinks that the FDA is looking out for the best interest of the people, then you are the one being scammed.
While it's true the naysayers have no hard evidence that these pads don't work. There is also no solid evidence that they do.
Alot of you seem to say give them a chance try them out before you say they don't work, but that doesn't make any sense. Why would you pay that much money for something unless someone can prove to you that it works, especially since you can't be an objective observer of the results if you do try them out.
If I tell you to eat two scoops of dogfood every day becuase it will boost your immune system I garuntee no one can "prove" that it doesn't. So why not try it?
Simply said why waste your time on something that the people making these claims won't even bother to verify, surely if they have enough money to market these pads all over the country they have enough to run some legitimate clinical trials. It is in their best interest to do this if their product works, becuase it allows them to silence the naysayers of which there are many, and would increase demand for their product. The reason they haven't is obvious they either know it doesn't work or they just don't care.
I dont even know how the hell I got to this site or what the "f" detox pads were, but i tell you what i am going to give these mother f'rs a shot. So many people say they work so you know what i say "who gives a shit"
I have bee a big fan of detoxing through the feet and until now I used the Ion Cleanse Foot Bath. I am anxious to try the foot patches because they would be much more convenient than going to my chiropractor and dunking my feet for 25 minutes. Chiropractors are licensed by the way for the fellow who insists that foot detox is quackery. Anyone who has ever had a little too much to drink or has eaten a meal heavy on the garlic can tell you that substances in the body do come out through the skin - so why not toxins. Smokers will tell you that their shirts and blouses get horrible brown stains in areas where they perspire (especially armpits). What would you propose that those brown stains are? Do you think that it's the sweat drawing brown color from the shirt? Please! Questioning is a good thing and we live in an age where there is easy access to a lot of information. Before you condemn something or look for confirmation of an opinion you've already formed, do the research. Here's a good place to start - the Ion Cleanse footbath and how it works. How IonCleanse® Works
AC electricity is converted to low power DC electricity which flows through a patented electrode system that rests in the foot bath. The electricity and the metal combine to split the water molecule into H+ and OH- ions. These ions travel through the body, neutralize oppositely charged particles and through powerful osmotic pressure pull those neutralized particles out of the body through whatever skin surface is in contact with the water. For those with a scientific bent, the process described above is known as electrolysis of water, and a detailed explanation of its biochemistry can be found at http://www.chem.uiuc.edu/clcwebsite/elec.html. You can also click here to view a report done on the IonCleanse® process.
I plan to test the foot patches I purchased and if I am satisfied - I will sell them through my website.
If you are not going to be fully accountable for your own health and well being and rely only on the medical community, the pharmaceutical community and the insurance companies, I feel very sorry for you. There is simply too much information for your doctor to stay on top of things. The so-called alternative health products have been around for a long time and you should check them out. The side effects of prescription medications are often worse than the condition they treat. Health care in the US is actually Sick Care - nothing happens until you get sick, sometimes very sick. No attention is given to preventing disease, because there is a lot more money in the perpetual treatment of symptoms than the prevention or elimination of disease. THERE IS NO PROFIT IN CURE - think about it!

I'm haven't tested the product or don't claim to have any knowledge about it but I wanted to respond to a poster above who claimed they "Don't Sweat". It is common knowledge that ALL people sweat. This is also taught in high school biology. It is ridiculous to say, "I don't sweat". You do! Some people sweat more than others. People who "Don't Sweat" actually sweat such a minimal amount that it evaporates away from the skin quickly, creating the effect of no sweat at all. It may be that the pads absorb the sweat, and based on what the author said, discolor due to the moisture that reactivates the vinegar. Just wanted to correct the idea that someone doesn't sweat!
I usedt o eat lead paint as a child, fot pad what do it same be too go when for maybe stop south yes . Bye.
not only is this person a ney sayer... they can't spell... its "avoid" not "aviod"
I have been looking into purchasing some detox foot pads for my 19 year old daughter who has fibromylagia. The hematologist we went to found heavy metals, toxins, mycoplasma fermentens incognito, and parasites in her blood.
There are so many brands out there to choose from, some with the same ingredients and some with alternate ingredients. Can anyone share with me specific brands that DID NOT or DID work for them?
Thank you.
Hi I have CHF diebetic & Lypyedema, sleep apnia, both legs are still filled with water, I was in the hospital for a two weeks oct 07, they took off 70 pounds of water, I am still fighting to keep it off and get rid of the rest, I'm in a life and death situation, following the right diet, no salt low liq intake, im trying the pads and sure hope they work or at least help, have a great day.
I really appreciate this lens and the discussion. I've been going back and forth about trying this and not sure if was a scam or not. I will say that there are many alternative health treatments that shouldn't work but do. Just because something hasn't been proven doesn't mean it's not true, so I will give these a try. They're cheap enough that it won't bankrupt me and I've been looking for a cleanse that isn't a bowel cleanse. Again, appreciate the info and the discussion.
For Justin,
That's right, lets just assume if the FDA doesn't ok it then it must bot be a viable product. Let's face it, in today's drug riddled (legal and illegal) world, the only real way to get the FDA to OK is to PAY! Who knows if these work. Try and decide for yourself, then do what you will. Idiot
To the fella who keeps complaining about the spelling .... I've noticed that, too, but it's normal for this generation ... proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation are not important to this generation. I'd like to point out that you, too, have some words spelled incorrectly ... for one, "definately" is not correct, it's "definitely" definitely! P.S. I'm going to try these pads; sounds very interesting.
Pultices have long been used to cure illness, stop bleeding, disinfect a wound, and so on. I am a skeptic of anything medical. However, I decided to try the pads, and the first night I put them on it was most difficult to get to sleep. My feet tingled with a very strange feeling, kind of a drawing feeling. Yes, the pads were brown in the morning, as they were on day two. However, if the natural chemicals in the pad seep into my system and cause a reaction that allows my lymphatic system to work better, who is the skeptic to judge? Does the pad draw, or cause to be leached from? Does it matter so long as it works.
As for those who believe it a scam, so what. If the user believes he/she feels better, even if psycho-sematic, who cares. The fact is the person feels better, and that is the goal in the end.
I'm a real believer in complementary medicine, but have not tried the foot pads yet.
However, something occurerd to me. If the pads turn brown with plain water, and when someone wears the pads for weeks the brown no longer shows up, is it possible that the pads are mearly deactivating the sweat glands on the feet and not really detoxifying anything?
Just a guess.
I have never used them before and am now doing research to see if I am truly ready to give them a whirl. I will say this though, I have been to many sites that claim to have reviews, but the reviews seem made up, and I can definately tell that this site is real life reviews by all the negative entries. I will give them a try... Let the ones who are posting negatively say all they want, I can tell that they have not used your product and they have had a positive effect on my decision. They let people know that the reviews are real so Thank Them for that. Then dismiss them.......
People perish for lack of knowledge. A blindman once told the Pharasees "whether he (JESUS) is a sinner or not I don't know but one thing I know is once I was blind but now I can see". Whether it is a scam or not I don't know but I know that after using the detox pads my ailing legs have great relieve.
if these pads draw out toxins does this mean when we put lotion, makeup or spray our kids with bug spray that it goes into our body? maybe that is what is coming out of our feet onto these pads..
Well. I am a scientist and worked for years in pharmaceutical mfg. Posters should know that western medicine is based on allopathic remedies, which means the body is treated as something one does something to--to effect change. What most will not admit (but is the case) is that, although inorganic substances are used, drs have 2 choices--cut something out of the body, or introduce chemicals or substances that work with the body. Antibiotics and vaccines (against viruses) have to work with the body. They encourage the body to identify and develop antibodies or give the body respite so that it can rally to fight infections.
This is important to realize to understand why the resistance to alternative medicine is very strong. For the pads--I just bought some to perform my own testing. I have no problem with alternative medicine and know for certain that many modern drugs (such as quinine for malaria and vincristine for cancer and aspirin for headache) were used for thousands of years by indigenous tribes before the West ever found out or accepted what we now use them for.
We invent very few new substances, rather, we synthesize or 'improve' natural drugs and chemicals/plants to get patents to make money. We also (to this day) do not know how aspirin works or why. We can't guarantee the results of vincristine or other neoplastics and we are at a loss to explain many of the myalgias (muscle pain) or autoimmune diseases--nor do we treat them well. In other words--the skeptics rely on a health god with clay feet--there may be something to this.
What is more important is that no one is giving a BRAND name for the foot pads. This is very important to determine efficacy (if they work) Some brands must be better and safer than others--and after the aquadots and other toxic byproducts in Chinese products, it behooves anyone/everyone with good results to not only tout the greatness of those results but tell the source and name of the brand you used. Thank you and I will post how my pads work after I test them thoroughly.
To B. Shelton:
Sorry to hear about your problems with implants but there is something you should know about the FDA: It was developed in the 1930s after people began losing their toes and feet due to machines in stores that allowed them xray their feet for fun (no one knew xrays were deadly). The FDA finally got teeth after the Thalidomide scare manufactured in part by Merrells in Cinn, OH. That product used by pregnant women to combat morning sickness--was never approved in America but was used in Europe. Many of the babies born to those who used the product had kids born without arms or legs. The point: The FDA is a necessary tool but they cannot know everything.
When the FDA say a product is safe, it may be because the way it will eventually be found out to be unsafe was not considered. One of the things that is not considered are the various interactions between all the products people take. It would be impossible to test for it. But a rule of thumb for any of us --and that goes for foot pads, medicine or silicone breast implants--is that you NEVER put anything in your body you do not want to take possible consequences from. This means drugs, plastic bags with silicone, etc.
Vanity is not worth very much, nor is a vicarious or drug induced thrill, if you are dead or dying. This need many of us have to DO stuff to ourselves for improvement is suspect. Improve mind and heart first, then take a good look at whether something as superficial as your boobs is really a risk you want to take improving.
Okay, today I just happened to ‘google’ the term “detox foot patches”, selected the “I FEEL LUCKY” tab, and your site came up. I did this because a very dear friend told me the results that she and her family had experience through their use. Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I am 60 years old and have worked most of my life in an environment where toxic chemicals were present, a steel mill. Up until three years ago, I had a lot of faith in practitioners of Western medicine as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers.
It was then that I went to my family doctor complaining of numerous problems, including fatigue, muscle ache, head ache, constipation and even ED. The doctor put me through several rounds of blood test to find no obvious problems. Next came the MRI of my head to look for a possible brain tumor as cause for my head aches. Again, the results showed no problems and sufficed to do nothing but bill the health insurance company, and drain my personal finances.
Then my son gave me a book for Christmas, “Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About”, by Kevin Trudeau. I read this book with much skepticism, as is my normal attitude. It sounded like he was basically trying to ‘sell’ more than books. By the time I got to the end of the book, it made a lot of sense, but I would do my own research to decide which route I would take to detox myself. The only reason that I mention Trudeau’s book, is because it convinced me that the FDA and the FTC, have absolutely no concern about my health an well being and that they have been bought and paid for by the pharmaceutical and food industries that get richer every day from the chemicals and additives that we pay them so generously for, to poison our bodies.
While doing my research, I spent a lot of time studying the ‘possible side effects’ of the various prescription drugs the doctor had me on. I discovered that my list of complaints to the doctor read like the list of side effects for Lipitor, and stopped taking it immediately, and will never take it again. I then found a detox system for the colon, liver and kidneys, which I will not name here, because this is not meant to promote anything but personal responsibility for ones own health. All of this internal cleansing, though not complete or perfect, has made such a difference in my health and well being that I encourage all of my friends and relatives to at least try it. Having worked in a steel mill for 36 years, I know that I have undoubtedly absorbed, inhaled or ingested many things that are probably still in my system, and quite frankly, I don’t want them any longer.
As far as drugs and their possible side effects, I don’t personally feel that they are just possible side effects, but rather probable side effects. It’s just a matter of time before they catch up to you. I don’t feel that drug companies have any desire to cure any illness. If they did, they would be out of business. After so many years of research, why have they not been able to come up with a cure for cancer, heart disease or diabetes? Why is it that they produce ‘medications’ that only treat symptoms and don’t go to the root of the problem? And finally, if doctors are professional people, why do they PRACTICE medicine? One would think that a professional would be done practicing when they have finished their schooling.
As far as foot patches being snake oil, I personally feel this is primarily because they are a natural, organic product that cannot be patented by the drug companies. I had an old friend, a Native American, who gave me a list of natural methods to heal various illnesses. I have used the inner bark from the slippery elm tree as a tea to treat stomach flu with fantastic results. I have used tea made with cayenne pepper to reduce fever with fantastic results. I have used a number of different natural, easily available and inexpensive items to reduce my cholesterol with great success.
As far as people selling inferior products to scam the public, yes, they are out there. Let the buyer beware. Take the time to do the research before you make a purchase of anything. To spend $30 to $40 to try something that may or may not work is probably not a drop in the bucket compared to money spent on fast food by an individual. Do you think that Ronald McDonald isn’t scamming you?
Your article has had the opposite effect on me than what you intended, especially after clicking on the link that wanted to sell me lemons and syrup. It was a site, that I also might add, showed worse spelling and grammar than any of the comments I read in response to your article. I will buy foot patches for my wife and myself as soon as my pension check comes in. I will but it from a reputable dealer who has done the research. They are out there. There has been much testing done on the foot patches, and it’s easily available on the web. I won’t give any url’s, because I am not promoting any company. I am simply and open minded individual who has personally seen and felt the damage done by drug companies and food producers. I have seen the results of what can be done through natural / organic foods and supplements. I will conclude by adding that I have not had the slightest symptom of a cold or the flu since I stopped taking ALL prescription or over the counter drugs. I do not and will not use any of them.
I just heard about the detox pads a few days ago and like others on this site, have been researching as much as possible before I purchase. Re the above comments - first of all about Dr. Mitch Brown's spelling - give me a break - no one, I don't care how "Intelligent" they are can do everything right 100% of the time. Besides, many exceptionally brilliant people can't spell very well - docs are usually in a hurry and, like many who went to school post 1980's, were never taught phonics or proper grammar. It's not their fault so get over it.
I agree with the following comments: the skin is the largest organ, of course we detox through it - if you don't believe it, go to a drug rehab detox and get a sniff of someone's skin who is coming off booze, speed or opiates! Have you never been around someone who ate real garlic the day before?????
I believe that if we relied only on the FDA to provide us with medical products that worked, many of us would be dead. Fortunately, those same post 1980's students who were shortchanged in elementary school are bright enough to figure out that the FDA is extremely limited in their approach to medicine - and, because they are strong armed by huge drug companies who insist anything natural or preventive is just short of voo doo! Can you imagine all the patients (and their $) they would lose if it were determined a simple foot pad could detox our bodies and help us stay healthy???? No, they would never agree it was possible.
Aspirin is a perfect example - it has probably saved more lives this year by preventing or stopping heart attacks than any other drug on the market - and you can buy them for less than a penny apiece.
After reading all the above, I've decided to try the pads just to see for myself if they work - perhaps, just like chemo/radiation/antibiotics, the pads work for some people and not for others - just because one person doesn't respond doesn't mean they are a fraud.
Also, regarding the foot and it's connection to various organs - I had a friend in Tucson who was learning some alternative medicine concept about ten years ago. For her final exam, I let her use me and during the exam of my feet, she told me she was concerned about my liver - just from looking at my feet - mind you, at that time I never drank, so she couldn't have just been grasping at something obvious. I ignored her diagnosis - unfortunately! Four years later, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C - she'd been right - and had figured it out just from looking at my left foot.
We need to open our minds to all sorts of possibilities in order to discover all that the earth has waiting for us. thanks, katychicago
I agree with
i have been reading the relies and i am confused. have ANY of the skeptics actually used the pads?
all the people who have used them nicely commented on how well they worked but the skeptics just reply in a childish condecending manner like anyone who doesnt agree with them are stupid.......
if you are going to down a product at least do some case studies and some placebos as well. i havent read any comments yet on here where someone used them and didnt see any defference at all in there body.
im going to try them and see how i feel. if i had the money, id actually have a hair analysis done but i dont think its 100% necassary.
we'll what is the the verdict???
Truely nobody knows....
Nice article. I can't believe some of these comments... Why are people so gullible?
First do no harm...sound familiar? These pads obviously cause no harm. Moreover, for the low cost and the potential to help improve someone's health, I don't see a problem with giving them a try...a personal "clinical trial," if you will. Evidence based medicine has it's merits, and you will find this approach in my clinic. However, you will also find utilization of safe cutting edge methods that research is working to catch up with. My patients achieve quicker and better results at our clinic versus our surrounding competitors. I know of no meaningful research on these pads, but the approach appears sound as well as safe (unless you have some unique allergy to one of the herbal components). I don't endorse such approaches to detox or health improvement as we stick with what we know works...improved eating methods, hydration and EXERCISE along with an active lifestyle. These pads may work to help someone feel better to where they will be motivated to "get moving" and achieve true health. i don't believe these pads will create true health in and of themselves, but they just may give an individual the needed boost whether physiologic or psychologic - whatever works!
Are you really going to discredit someone's intelligence based upon their ability to spell? I really don’t think that one's ability to practice medicine should boil down to a spelling test. I won a spelling bee in the 4th grade, does that mean I will make a good doctor? No that means I will make an excellent proofreader. Ignorance is reflected in many ways; perhaps by a misspelled word or perhaps by someone's inability to wrap their mind around the fact that something not approved by the FDA and not shoved down our throat by the pharmaceutical companies could actually work. Was that a run on sentence? I don't know who cares. Research it, test it, then write about it. Being cynical and skeptical does not make you sound smart. I have read all of the comments and am now convinced that I should try these. I am convinced by both the personal anecdotes and the ignorant, close minded comments posted by the cynics who have done no research and have no point of reference.
I have read this whole chain of comments, and I must say, I still cannot decide whether the foot pads are real or just a scam. I think I'll try them and see what happens. It sounds to me like some people are having good experiences with them, other people, who haven't tried them, are very skeptical, and yet others want to try them. I will post back on here if I end up trying them.
MR. Wang Yang chop suey invented these in his basement. And some dummy came along and offered to sell for him
First I have not yet tried these pads but came to this site as part of my research. Second, I'm really sick of those snobs trying to discredit people for improper spelling. Wake up people, this isn't Time magazine it's the Internet (an open forum for the free expression of ideas and opinions). Besides, the fact that you learned the rudimentary task of using a spell checker isn't a sign of intelligence; instead it's a sign of your massive insecurity. By the way, should you choose to cut, paste, and spell check my post, I've already done it for you.Third, as for the people posting as doctors, I believe the first poster; who is a self admitted lab tech, is not a doctor but a lab tech that is using the handle of Doctor simply as a screen name; as I know of no lab techs that are PhDs, let alone MDs. The second person is definitely a doctor, I can tell by the way he makes his case as I have been in the health industry for over twenty years and that is exactly how a doctor would write.
Lastly, being in the industry I can unequivocally tell you that the FDA, while still serving a purpose for public safety, is one of the most corrupt agencies in the gov't. Often giving their approval to the highest bidder. I have personally been involved in the process of getting products approved and more than once found that the FDA would rush the inferior products of my large (well funded) competitors while hindering my product (even though my clinical studies would be flawless and show promise for a far better impact on public health). As for this being a scam, I won't know until I actually try these; even then if they don't work I may just be one in the minority of those that don't respond. I can tell you this, Western Medicine is very slow to accept new or unconventional therapy and will heavily set bias based solely on assumption to protect the status quo (which is maintained by the well funded drug manufacturers). Just think back, it was only twenty years ago that Barry Marshall and Robin Warren were ostracized for suggesting that a bacteria called H.Pylori caused stomach ulcers. The very same overt bias and skeptical assumptions were used against them as in this article. However, the science was on their side and today it is an accepted medical fact that H.Pylori is often the culprit for ulcers. Even with he AIDS epidemic (of which I won't argue here) established medical society insists that AIDS is caused by HIV when there are many (included Nobel Laurate Kary Mullis - the person that discovered PCR and Luk Montligliar – the co-founder of the HIV virus) that have evidence to the contrary. However, the medical establishment won't even debate their evidence and simply writes it off as quackery. Any time someone runs from open debate based on the facts (as is the case of the skeptics in this article who simply hurl assumptions and insults) it sets off a red flag in my mind that the information being provided isn't worth taking seriously
Wow, I work in an auto shop and am exposed to tons of toxins on a daily basis. I used the pads for a couple weeks and felt so much better. Now I am a pretty good looking and have done a lot of things I regret in the morning. So while using the pads on my feet, I broke out in a terrible rash on my manhood. I thought what the hell and put a patch on the itchy place. Well the patch didn't clean up my rash at all. What a crock. If these damn things can't get rid of a little STD, how can you expect them to pull heavy metals out of your system?
I am a kidney dialysis patient and have to undergo three 4-hour treatments each week. Have these pads been proven to extract phosphorus or other toxins failed to be removed by malfunctioning kidneys. Even slight removal of phosphorus would be a miracle for dialysis patients. My nephronologist thinks I'm crazy but agreed it wouldn't hurt me to try the detox pads.
I love these patches! When I first came up with the idea I thought nobody could be this dumb. Stickers on your feet make all your problems real or imaginary go away. I didnt even have to make specific claims. People just applied their own illnesses to its uses. Now my patches seem to completely cure everything from headaches to advanced stages of cancer.
Time to go I'm taking my new yacht out for a spin.
Thank your for proving me wrong!
This is the second supposed "article/review" of detox footpads i've seen. Just like the first, it's nothing but the opinion of some jerk who happens to sell a colon cleanser system.
I read that Dr. Mitch Brown, a medical lab tech, has studied the pads in his lab to prove that they work. I work for a state university which offers a program in medical lab tech. Year in and year out, our students receive national recognition and all of them have jobs secured at least a year before graduation. I'm not sure what degree Dr. Mitch might have, but our techs receive bachelors degrees for this work. Maybe Mitch has one of them fancy PhDs that you get for sending a check that clears?
I say we should all just sniff spray paint and listen to "smart yankee college kids" who took a college level science course. (not to mention his gay lover the body builder who said it's a fraud)
arrogant americans showing their lack of knowledge on yet another subject. you people make me wanna vomit. please keep your cock garages shut and try reading a book. Don't get your education from the boob tube, the water cooler at work, or some redneck relative you ignorant americans have.
I tried using the foot detox pads. The smell from them was so intense it woke me up several times through the night. I didn't use them a 2nd night purely because of the intense smell.
I have been using these patches for 2 weeks and have member has grown 4 inches in length and 2 in girth, I am no longer bald, my skin is youthful and I am starting to be able to levitate! What a great product!!!
Hey ya'll! Been readin' through everyone's comments and appreciate both the pros & cons. Question for you folks, do you wonder why your carpets and floors become discolored & dirty when you do not allow shoes to be worn inside your home? Feet are the dirtiest, grossest part of the body. I didn't realize this until I purchased these wonderful memory foam slippers, in WHITE! I wanted to make sure my feet were clean the first time I put them on, so I washed my feet when I came in the house (I actually do this quite often). I wore them all afternoon and evening. I put them on when getting out of bed the next morning and did not look at them until taking them off to take a shower. They were gross! Dark & nasty! That is when I realized that my carpets and floors were being dirtied, not by my kids wearing their shoes in the house, but by their feet! I proceeded to purchased everyone "house slippers" for wearing inside. My floors were clean again! I was not having to scrub them every few days anymore. That alone tells me the feet are a big exit point for toxins in the body.
Just my two cents!
thank god! i thought i'd never find THE magic bullet
Just as a tangential note... I hope everyone realizes that what they're reading is on the Internet, where there are no checks or verifications of identity (really). My point?
I could say I was a medical doctor and I'd have as much credibility as the other "doctors," "lab techs," and "happy customers" who have posted above. Not sure either way on whether the pads themselves work, but I am sure that a salesman will do anything to push his product.
On the other hand, it does look like there are some believable, positive results for some people... I am of the school of belief that there is no one diet plan that will work for everyone, because humans are unique and so are their bodies and metabolisms, etc. I can believe that these pads work for some people (particularly those whose feet don't sweat IF the moisture = discoloration claims are true), but even if they do work, they probably won't work for everyone, or at the very least not as well for everyone.
At the moment of this writing, I am supposed to be in the hospital, recovering from a corrective surgery for a condition called achalasia. The procedure planned for me is called a Heller Myotomy. Three weeks earlier, a friend of mine, involved professionally in the alternative health field, sent me some foot patches, stating all of the standard claims. He knew nothing of my health condition.
I was skeptical of the claims, but having learned long ago to not dismiss a hypothesis due to my preconceptions, I tried the patches -and after three nights, I noted a dramatic reductions of the achalasia symptoms. After another couple of nights, I was convinced that I might be onto something - and postponed the upcoming surgery for 30 days.
I have now used the patches for a little over two weeks and am experiencing an about 80% reduction of the symptoms that had become so bad that I was going to endure surgery to correct. The foot patches might not be a "cure", but they have certainly reduced my symptoms down to a level that if maintained, I can live with... without surgery. For this I am grateful.
You skeptics who dismiss anything because you "don't believe it" do a great disservice to yourselves by spreading your ignorance in a public forum. If you can speak from observable experiences, your opinions carry some value. If you possess no experience in a subject to which you pontificate you only feed your own narcissism.
I don't honestly know if these pads are any different to ones I've tried before, though I tried quite a few different brands and they had no realy effect whatsoever on anything apart from my purse balance! ;0)
I might give them a try though just in case. - Great article, many thanks.
If a person really wants to detox ...how about coffee enemas or IV EDTA?....The procedures aren't as easy to administer or are they as cheap financially as the detox foot pads however they are extremely effective methods.
Firstly, to the "Internal Medicine" physician, you can put your MD back in the Cracker-Jack box. You'd KNOW (if you'd been graduated by any credentialled medical program, that testing the presence of aluminum or copper (or more than trace amounts) indicates clear pathologies AND you'd know that detecting isopropyl alcohol on any original paper or cotton or the like which was previously impregnated with vinegars would be tricky to determine. Did you actually take organic chemistry or any courses in pediatrics or cover the diagnostics of any metabolic disorders? Sure, detecting isopropyl alcohol in serums is possible (well, within a certain period).
IF the pads worked the way they claim, how would the toxins know where to come out? They'd seemingly leech out all over the body, whereever the skin is. Possibly there'd be concentration in the application area (like dimethyl-sulfoxide, which IS an actual trans-dermal vehicle), but NOBODY mentioned that. Nobody mentioned tasting metals.
Does anyone notice the same BROWN stuff on the parts of the foot around the pad or is it just on the pad and that part of the foot where the pad was?
It's very simple, do a double blind study. Give some people the pad, give others some sanitary napkin, have some people pour distilled, filtered water on some pads and have some people pour salty, tap water with flour in it on others and see if they change colours and have them sent off.
What we see in the posts here are people giving a personal experience called an anecdote. The plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not evidence. What you want are studies, double blind, with "controls" and people analysing the data who know about "statistical noise", a or alpha and p-values.
Nobody said that they were cured of a diagnosed disease NOR that any empirically documented blood/organic indicator was demonstrably affected... just that "I felt so much better from the problem I had that I never had diagnosed because it wasn't really that bad after all".
I am willing to give the foot patch a try, because frankly what do I have to lose? Is everyone so afraid to be a little healthier that they need to make the rest of us also skeptical. If they don't work, I will not be out much, but if they do work, this is a huge benefit for a healthier life. I will keep you posted on my progress.
I' say get off your lazy butts and exercise, this is the only true way to detoxify yourself. Its called SWEATING out them ther toxins. and before someone says I should try them before critizing them, well I did try them for 3 weeks and not only did my feet smell, but so did my bed. Of course it was hard to tell what smelt worse, my feet or my wife passing gas. Oh one more thing, if you are bald and put them on your head, they will make your hair grow.
Can anyone in support of these pads produce a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of these products? How about any scientific literature supporting the concept that heavy metals can be excreted through the skin? Or literature to support sweating as a way to remove mercury from the body? Show me the proof. No Hype, No Testimonials, Just Science.
I am going to try these, what the heck do I have to lose?! All of the people who are skeptical have a right to be, but at the same time they cannot really make any substantial claims if the product works or not. Try to be open-minded, after all it is an alternative approach and it is natural. My suggestion is to go lookup the herbs that are inside the foot patches and see if any of them are toxic for a human to have absorbed by the skin for any length of time. I don't believe any of them are toxic in the amounts in the footpads.
I also recommend that people who are interested in detoxing to try liquid bentonite, which is volcanic ash. It can be found at most health food stores. It is also something they put into facial masks to draw out the toxins from the skin. It works. Do a search for it online and you will get much info about how it works and what it does. This is also a toxin remover, except you drink it. I have drank it for years on a regular basis and after a couple of weeks you will have clearer skin, more energy, and feel really good inside. There are claims on the internet of people who have had diseases and ailments along with much radiation due to chemotherapy that talk about how it helped them get better. If there's a natural alternative out there why would you not try it? You can't knock it if you haven't tried it. And if it works, well then everyone wins!
IF THESE PADS WERE TRULY EFFECTIVE AND NOT A QUACK, THEN THEY HAVE FOUND A CURE FOR RENAL FAILURE AND ENDSTAGE RENAL DISEASE! PATIENTS WITH RENAL FAILURE ARE UNABLE TO EXCRETE & FILTER WASTE PRODUCTS AND TOXINS FROM THE BLOOD WHICH ARE DONE BY THE KIDNEYS. SO IF THIS WAS AN EFFECTIVE PRODUCT, DONT YOU THINK MEDICAL STAFF, RESEARCHES AND HOSPITALS, FDA, ETC WOULD BE STOCKPILING THIS PRODUCT BY THE MASSES? IF THESE PATCHES ARE THAT EFFECTIVE, THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR DIALYSIS ANYMORE. I AM A NURSE THAT WORKS IN THE HOSPITAL. BELIEVE ME, ITS A WASTE OF MONEY. IF YOU HAVE A HEALTHY LIVER AND KIDNEYS, YOUR BODY IS RIDDING ITSELF OF TOXINS AND WASTE PRODUCTS EFFECTIVELY. NO MIRACLE PATCH CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF THAT!
The repeated comment that the reaction and discoloration is caused by sweat or can be caused by water is incorrect. If that were the case, then when wearing the footpads continuously they would have a consistent color change. Over time, the color lightens during use almost to a point there is no discoloration so how do the naysayers explain that?
I have found this product to work excellent for my wife who has been struggling with Crohn's Disease, Anemia, and Kidney problems for the last two years. Is this the last product we will ever use because it fixed everything? No. Will we continue to use it because it may have contributed to the reason she unexplainably has more energy after using for a few days? Yes, if it means she can feel better and I can spend even one more hour a day with her because she normally sleeps so much due to her condition.
It's funny how the negative comments seem to be coming from people who are skeptics and have not even tried these pads. Not only are they bad mouthing something they haven't even tried, they seem to be expressing themselves with such anger and hate towards the thought someone might be making money off of this. If that's the case, I would turn my hostility towards the Pharmaceutical Companies that inscent Doctors to push drugs that usually seem to have a longer list of side effects than healing elements.
your all crazy
I posted above before but I wanted to add something more about "Are these too good to be true" and the comments people have made.
These are not too good to be true. Something that promises changes in one day may be promising something that is good to be true, but using these foot pads and expecting to see radical, immediate changes is only going to disappoint you. They DO take out toxins. They don't react with sweat to produce the goo. In order to achieve better health, with these foot pads, you will have to wear them consistently... not just once and then wonder where your "magical cure is"
One thing people who are sick sometimes don't realize is that it takes time to get well. IT took a long time to get sick in the first place, with fibromyalgia, migraines, psoriasis, any of the auto-immune disorders out there, yeasts, diabetes, etc. You didn't just wake up one morning sick -- it was months or years of exposing yourself to toxins, mostly unknowingly (we won't do it on purpose -- at least most of us wont, right?) And after our body is finally experiencing a toxic overload do we feel the symptoms... and by then, one small detox won't have a big enough impact to believe that it works. You go to the doctor, and are at your whit's end because nothign seems to work, so you get prescribed more drugs, which usually have lead in them (as a filler, lead is commonly used in pharmaceuticals, among other toxins) you are putting more toxins IN your body, to mask symptoms caused by toxins in the first place. Then, when you start experiencing MORE symptoms, the doctor gives you more prescriptions. The vicious cycle has continued its downward spiral until you feel like life isn't worth living anymore because of the pain.
The key here is to be patient. Using these foot pads WILL allow you to see drastic results... however it should also be a lifestyle change. Start learning about what toxins you are putting into your body... are you still microwaving your food in plastic containers, leaching the PCBs into your food and ingesting them? Are you still eating canned, processed foods that are filled with chemicals? If you are, then the foot pads will probably never come clean for you in the morning. But they WILL help you get a handle on your illness or pain.
I have witnessed autistic children show great improvement using these foot pads. I have witnessed people with fibromyalgia (including myself) get great relief with these foot pads. I have witnessed my grandmother with peripheral neuropathy, unable to walk without help, get such great relief she was able to start up her daily walks again because of using these foot pads.
Yes, I sell them. I do have a website (www.purifyyourbody.com) and I have a great many customers who LOVE them. I have been selling them for over 3+ years and my customers keep coming back. They refer their friends to my website. I do have a personal touch and let them know each of them is important to me, and treat them as such. I have gotten rid of my fibromyalgia but it did take many many months... I first felt relief within 1 week of using the foot pads, but I still had to use them for a long time, about 5 years ago, before I realized I didn't have any of my FMS symptoms anymore. And, because I don't like changing my lifestyle that much, and I don't always eat as good as I should, well, I continue using them for maintenance and I am ok with that. I do avoid artificial sweeteners and MSG. I also avoid hormones added to milk or beef -- I purchase organic in those cases. I don't take pharmaceutical drugs -- unless emergencies come up like appendicitis, and I need them. There is a time and place for all of that, but I also try to live a healthy lifestyle and use the foot pads on a maintenance dose at least a few times a month.
So, for everyone who thinks of this as something that is too good to be true -- well, it isn't! It is work (putting the pads on every night, taking them off in the morning, changing your lifestyle a bit -- learning about toxins -- I can help people with this part of it if they email me from my website, to get them started) but it is worth it. The relief you can feel is so great! But don't expect overnight results and bam! Your cured. They don't work that way. I can only guarantee they ARE taking out toxins from your body.
Good luck everyone, in your venture toward feeling better.
:) Rebecca - http://www.purifyyourbody.com
I have to say that after seeing the "rah rah" informercials about these things, I was pretty skeptical... but... being the Curious George that I am, I felt compelled to order them; I've been feeling fatigued and just generally not all that great. I did not order the Kinoki pads (the "as seen on TV" brand); I bought mine from holistec.com. They are less expensive. I have to say that I am only on my third night of wearing them, but I can see a marked difference in my general feeling of well-being. I can feel kind of a tingling in my feet/legs in bed at night (in a good way...not irritating). Yes, it's gross in the morning when you wake up and your feet are squishy and gooey (til you take the pads off) and the smell is really strange. Small price to pay for somehow feeling better throughout the day. I too thought, "well of course it's the moisture in your feet which is making the pads turn brown and feel wet..." but then realized that my feet do not sweat profusely, and supposedly after detox, the pads do not discolor... so how do we explain that? Just wanted to share my short-term satisfaction w/ these things... there is so much about Asian medicine that we here in the US have not taken the time to understand... to share the opinion of another poster on here... please don't bash something if you haven't tried it... even if it sounds ridiculous to you... you could be doing a disservice to someone who may be able to benefit otherwise.
I have read everybody's comments about the foot detox pads. If these pads turn brown or any other color because of water then explain why after using them for a period of time, they turn lighter and after using for the recommend time they don't turn colors any more? what your feet stop sweating?

The skin does not have the ability to excrete "toxins". That is the job of the liver, to break them down so they can enter the kidneys and then eventually leave the body in the urine. Sweat is not a "toxin".
The contents of the foot pad are a simple combination of ingredients designed to smell bad and change color in contact with sweat. This can be easily proven by wearing a headband and working up a big sweat. Take the sweaty headband and ring out all the sweat over a foot pad and wait. The same reaction will occur.
Scam artists always take advantage of what people do not know, in this case, how the body removes toxins, and simple chemistry. The key to any "truth" is independent investigation. Do not rely on one source, or even ten, but search for the truth in all places until it is clear and evident what is going on.
I was previously a Paramedic for several years. I have spent many hours in Toxicology and Pharmacology. I also have family that is directly from China that are a licensed Medical Doctor here in the United States and China. I have had the opportunity to see things done with acupuncture and “alternative medicine” that I had a hard time believing, and don’t understand frankly how it works. I do how ever believe that there truly is a flow of energy through the body. Western medical practices do not take this into account. I am not saying that this program is a wrong or a right, but I have seen things that are a bit out of the norm that work very well. This type of “Detoxification” is not that different from several methods that have been around a very long time.
For those individuals that find this idea far fetched. If you were to ask your Physician about acupuncture 15-20 years ago, most would have told you that it’s bogus, and of no benefit to a client what so ever. Now it has incorporated itself into several different aspects of reflexology and chiropractic techniques. It is now all but mandatory to have a good working knowledge of acupuncture when working in these two areas of medicineAndrew said in his post "The skin breathes, eliminates, and protects (remeber Goldfinger where the woman dies when her skin is occluded with paint?)" I got bad news for you kid...the mythbusters already tackled that myth and Kari is still alive to this day! You guys are a bunch of morons trying to find a quick fix to what proper diet and exercise can do for you. No, I have never used these pads and I'm a skeptic and blah blah blah, but the fact still remains I'm 33 yrs old, I drink plenty of water, diet, supplement, and exercise and I feel great. I don't have any problems waking up at 7:00 every morning(weekends too), and I don't have any problems going to sleep at night, not to mention I pass stool at the start of every day, and I feel great. To be absolutely honest, I feel better now than I've ever felt in my life. I learned through unhealthy practises that there is ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTE for proper eating habits and proper body maintenance.
I just started using these pads and I for one have noticed a difference in my health. I woke up refreshed and alert as well as pain free. I was amazed at what was on thepads when I removed them this morning. Whether or not they are truly drawing out the toxins, I am unsure but they do make me feel better and I will continue to use them. Time will tell.
To "educated" Melanie that addressed Dr. Mitch Brown's incorrect spelling of the word "whether":
You honestly shouldn't correct people for their spelling when you cannot punctuate sentences correctly. Educated? Really?
I have been using the pads for 4 nights now. I have also experienced what others are saying: increased energy, less fatigue, chronic pain has lessened. I also did not sleep well the first two nights of using the pads, kept waking up alot and my feet were tingling. I also get alot of black/brown gooey stuff on my pad.
I think the point here is, if you are interested in at least trying them, TRY THEM. If you feel you are getting good results after trying them, then they are working for you and you have every right to keep using them. Who cares what the skeptics are saying? Sounds like none of them have even tried them to see or feel the results.
My advice to you would be to at least try them and judge FOR YOURSELF. I am definitely seeing results that I like, and I will continue to use them.
I would like to know if anyone hgas just opened one of these foot pads and left it wet on the counter overnight...does it still discolor the same as one worn on your foot? I believe that some health benefits occur, but that they are over-exaggerated. No one can heal months or years of ingesting fast food, alcohol, drugs - prescription or otherwise - and processed food additives, poreservatives, and environmental hazards, through just foot pads - instead eat healthy, choose organic, cook from scratch, and adopt a balanced diet!!!
Well, I just ordered these tonight, what is it gonna hurt just to try them... In my opinion I would rather spend a few dollars to give something a fair shot than to go on feeling so exhausted, not sleeping, the migraines, the pain in my wrist (I have had 3 surgeries). At one time I lived in a VERY old house that had mold, and god only knows what else, so, if I spend a few dollars to feel better then it is money well spent. If it does not work then I will write back to let everyone know.
Listen I am not made of money, I have bills, my husband just came off strike and in this time my small part time pay was out only income and we are trying to recoup from that, so as far as being in fear of spending the money... I think that if you really want to feel better, and your health should be put before anything, even though as a society we do not work that way, it is worth a try.
Also, I have not read a single comment from someone that has tried them and have anything negative to say. The only people that has had anything negative to say are the people that have not tried them.
And...... As far as the FDA goes, we should be leary on anything the FDA approves, look at all of the meds that have been recalled in the last few years because of side effects, it is scary, especially when me a 31 year old mother has been on a couple of the meds that were recalled.
Bottom Line... what is it donna hurt to try, if you are a skeptic, that is your opinion that you are entitled to, but maybe you should give them a try. And, if you are at witts end with the way you feel you should give them a try.
Hahaha. I know a few idiots that would probably buy these. Also, I am very wary of any medical doctors who post on this site as proponents of the foot pads and can not spell correctly. I know doctors are not English majors, but these doctors who can't spell basic words correctly are obvious frauds who actually sell the product.
Try eating correctly, excercising, and drinking lots of water and your body can detox itself. How do you think your body gets rid of all those drugs and alcohol? Your body has it's own detox system.
If you are not sure if the pads work and are wondering if you want to try some random fast cure, try asking an actual doctor. Don't ask online and get frauds like "Jean Logan PhD" who posted here telling you what is what.
Many of you must have been dropped on your heads when you were children.
Sincerely,
Sane Person
P.S. I have no stake in this. I am an accountant. I don't sell miracle cures or own a sauna. I just know a fraud when I see it.
I have tried the foot patches and only did it for 3 nights and am in the process of using them again, but this time for a longer period of time. I have also been reading some of the comments from all types of people and have to say, I have nothing against doctors, but of course they aren't going to be for these. Doctors are known to get kickbacks from the companies that they push their prescriptions to people and talk about putting junk into your systems!!! I have to say that you shouldn't bad mouth anything until you have tried it for yourself!!!
I have been carefully picking and choosing natural medicines for years, finding that some work and some do not. Trial and error has become rather expensive, so I like to do a lot of research first. I have been very curious about these foot pads and appreciate the questions that the author has raised. The article, after all, never says that the pads don't work at all; it just raises some questions. It's good to hear different points of view to stimulate one's own thought processes, so the few objective comments are good too. The comments that mention medicine patches, in particular, got me thinking. Medicine patches work by putting substances INTO the body. Could these pads be working in the same way for people who say they have increased energy/fatigue reduction? There are certainly herbs that act as natural stimulants. This would be consistent with both feelings of increased energy and sleep interruption reported by some users above. This would make the product an effective delivery system, but what is its actual benefit as a toxin REMOVAL system? I do not like to use stimulants (even caffeine), so I have been trying to find out what herbal ingredients are contained in the pads before I think about using them. The info. seems to be proprietary for most of the brands. Is anyone able to share that information? Is it listed on the packaging? Also, in reading the information provided by the various manufacturers, I have learned that the product is designed to clean out toxins that are "expelled in the form of sweat". In this case, how much do the feet need to sweat in order for the product to function properly? It sounds like those above whose feet sweat little enough for them to believe they do not sweat at all have still had success, so it must not take much - unless it is a placebo effect. What confuses me about one brand is that it contains citronella which, according to the manufacturer, is included to curb perspiration. Wouldn't that thwart the ability of the patch to draw out toxins through sweat? Also, what does the bamboo vinegar actually DO? Of all the manufacturers I have researched, all use the vinegar but none state its purpose. If it is not an active ingredient, why do they all include it? Is it just to create the brown discoloration to let you know the patch is 'working'? Most of the information I have found is either vague or contradictory. For those who sent in their used patches to a lab for analysis: what were the concentrations of toxins found? Were they significant or trace? What packaging method did you use to prevent toxins from the air from contacting the product in transit from your home to the laboratory? I ask this because I am wondering if the pads make a significant enough reduction in the toxins to be an effective body cleansing product, and the science of it interests me. For those who are about to malign me for skepticism without trying the product, please remember that I am primarily concerned about what will go INTO my body from the patches. That, to me, is the most important piece of the puzzle. Trial and error with mysterious ingredients seems a bit foolish to me. I am posting this comment in hopes of gleaning some information. I would appreciate any factual/scientific information others may share.
hey, i tried one set of pads a couple months ago. felt no "fog" in the morning for the first time in years (from one night). felt very "sharp and clear" without my morning coffee. i just thought this 'fog' was me getting older. i have seen the comments posted. everyone has their own opinion...based on facts or not. but for me - i will believe the lab tests, coming back with mercury and other toxic metals. that is what we all need - proof! do the test for yourself. get a used patch tested at a lab. i plan on buying a couple weeks worth to invest in my healthy future.
HAS ANYONE HAD A USED PAD ANAYLIZED TO SEE WHAT ACTUALLY COMES
OUT FROM THEIR FEET?????????
Yeah, what he said!!!
All of you who tout they aren't safe because the FDA hasn't approved them need to get a clue. The FDA does not approve natural remedies or herbals. To say the FDA is the all knowing entity is just foolish.
The FDA has approved many things that are harmful to humans. Aspartame is a prime example. Aspartame is known to cause cancer in lab studies and is a Neuro toxin yet it has been approved by the FDA. It has been linked to Parkinsons and other Neurological and health issues.
I am currently trying these pads and I am very skeptical. I'm going to give it a month and see how it goes.
Wise up skeptics. It may be that the vinegar is what makes people feel better. Vinegar does have detoxifying qualities and helps improve Alkalinity in the body which leads to overall better health. Our bodies tend to be more acidic because of our diets.
My 2 Cents.
I just heard of these things and am trying to see if they work or not. I noticed that in all of the above post, I didn't see anybody that said they tryed them and they just did not work. So I'm going to try them.
My daughter recently started using the pads and she says they work. Hey, my kid don't lie, so there!!! I am going to order some and get some toxins moving on out of this body of mine. I looked around and I think the best prices are at detoxion.com
I'll keep ya posted.
i sprayed one with water and used one, they both turned brown but the onw used was alot darker, the one with water dryed and went back to it orignal color the one that was used stayed brown and gooey.
Whether the detox foot pads work or not, don't use Kinoki Detox Foot pads. Though the company advertises on national cable stations, they are ill-equipped to meet customer demand or even operate a business. I ordered product from them five weeks ago online and never heard a thing. When I called recently, I got a busy signal and then an answering machine voice mail. I left messages and received no return phone calls. You can talk to a live person for ordering purposes [through their outsourced sales department]; however these folks have no access to company employees or computer records from online and previous orders. Why bother with a company like this?
I have been reviewing all the comments and I have come to the conclusion that life is too short to live it miserable. I would try the detox patches in a heartbeat. I mean if they work, then I will be rewarded for my good choices. If they don't work I can't be mad for 'trying' to be healthy. I mean look at this country so far, all the fat a*# people, we are so unhealthy as a nation. There are those people who scoff at the sight of a health benefit. I would rather spend the money and try to be healthy than spend the money on two big macs to feed my fat a*#. Its all about making good choices whether it works or not. The positive outlook will get you farther than a negative one anyday.
There are two reasons why products like this can't and won't get FDA approval. 1). They aren't safe and/or 2) They don't work.
Believe what you want to believe. But they do not work and are simply scams to part the gullible from their $$$.
LOL,LOL,LOL The best joke about FDA I have ever heard
I find it amazing that people will post comments (me included) about a product that they haven't tried nor plan to. I don't care about their ideas about what works and what doesn't. Why not try it and if you don't get relief try something else. Sound familar, isn't this what the medical professionals do. I contacted valley fever, back in 1987, I saw 5 different doctors over a six month period. The last one had the common sense to have fluid, taken from my foot and testicle, tested. Then a year and half recovery period. So it comes down to "I don't care what you think, it's my body and I will try the product."
I am a skeptic, always, until I do the research. The topic is irrelevant. I have a wonderful Eastern Medical practitioner. He did not hype this detox to me. When I brought it up to him he told me that he indeed was skeptical at first but then had clients use the pads. When they were sent to the lab for analysis they came back positive for heavy metals among other toxins. I certainly intend to try it. Lab results are not reliant on FDA approval. They are indeed proof. Lets just remember what the medical community thinks of chiropractics, accupunture and all other forms of medicine that veers off their path. Open your minds.
um, the socks probably changed because the foot absorbed the "gunk" and sweated it back out.
OK. I have been putting these on corpses for some time and have seen dramatic effects on them. The corpse tests show they have far less toxins in their bodies! This will prove beneficial when they become zombies, as they will have much more energy and stamina to chase people and eat their brains!
The FDA is now allowing meat from cloned animals to be sold in our grocery stores. I don't think we should believe or trust everything the FDA says.
Have the results of the foot detox patches ever been lab tested after peope used these on the bottom of their feet? Can this possibly prove the amounts and types of heavy metals that have been removed from the body?
You know, our bodies do "detoxify" naturally on their own. It's as natural as birth. They were designed too. They have too. How efficiently or well they detoxify is based on the person and the types of things the person puts into their bodies. Things like exercise, a healthy diet and plenty of water are things that allow us to stay healthy and "detoxify". Whether these pads work or not is beyond me but I'm very skeptical. Just like books from authors such as Kevin Trudeau, I'm very skeptical. And I wonder, how well these things actually pull out toxins from the body from the foot of all places. The roughest skin in our body is found at our feet. Especially diabetics. How do you suppose you can pull toxins through dead, rough, thick, scaly skin?
As for people who say, "Try them first before you mouth off" No Thanks. Why should I try something that could potentially be unsafe? This goes for any product. I mean look at the amount of crap you see being advertised on TV at 3 or 4 in the morning. It's astonishing. Like I said, I don't know if these pads work. If they do then great! Something to make us feel a little better. If not, then shame on us for trying to sell scams to innocent people looking for something to help them with their daily lives.

Hey Andy, You posted three months ago so you may never see this, but you dressed down the doctor for his spelling, and you spelled "definitely" wrong...TWICE!
First define toxin. There is no such definition in the medical world. Second, ANY product that claims it helps remove toxins from any part of the body is absolute quakery
Albert that is very simple. Whatever was in the pad was absorbed into the skin. And perhaps over time it leached back out
Has anyone ever tested these foot pads after treatment and verifierd that the "good"nutrients aren't also drawn out as well as meds that a person is taking?
I have used the foot detox pads for several months. LET ME START OFF WITH SAYING THEY WORK. READ ON AND YOU WILL SEE WHY! Im in my 20's and have had problems with being constipated my entire life. Since I was a little baby. I used the patches for a week straight. EVERY ONE of those days I had a bowel movement. A very long, and large bowel movement. I did not have to strain to get it out. Also, I have constant back and neck pain. When I use the patches, I do not have that pain. I have been slacking off lately, and have not used the patches for about a week. I have not had a bowel movement in days, and have terrible neck pain as I type this. I recommend if you do decide to buy these, buy them in stock, such as on ebay. You need to use them CONTINUOUSLY, meaning every night to see a change. You can not do it one night and expect results. Also, this is my opioion. You don't have to agree with it. Don't be sayin rude comments because I use them. Thanks and good luck!
I have TMJ pain and horrible arthritis pain in my hands, wrists, ankles, and the tops of my feet. Sometimes the arthritis is so bad that I can't walk or move my hands. The TMJ gives me horrible headaches and tightness/pain from my face down my neck to my shoulders and down to the middle of my spine.
I use Takara patches to control the pain and the swelling. When my arthritis starts to hurt and my problem areas get swollen, I use the patches and my symptoms improve enough to allow me to function normally. My pain is taken care of. My TMJ pain/tightness is relieved as well. I put the patches straight on the areas where the pain is instead of using them on my feet. I literally stick the patches on my face, my hands and feet, etc .. .even on the back of my neck.
I really don't care how much gunk comes off on the pads as long as they help my pain. However, they do pull plenty of toxins out. Sometimes the patches pull off of my body with very dark, gooey results. Sometimes it's not as bad. Whatever. I just don't want to be in agony. I am so glad I found relief.
If you use them, you will not honeslty come on here and say they don't work unless you're bored and want to start a fight. 4th week using them and love them. Researched them quite well before I ordered them, which I recommend to everyone, because you don't want to buy the bogus ones or the ones like on that silly informercial. I was looking for an alternate way to cleanse on top of exercising regularly (which I have been doing now since October of last year), and these patches seemed almost too good to be true, but they honest to god work (and I'm sure they work differently on everyone). Took away my headaches, back aches, menstrual cramps, plus stress improved, skin improved, fatigue/general tiredness improved, and general well being seemed to be improved. Whatever makes these ingredients work is beyond me, but they work.
As for the water turing the patches brown, think of of tea getting brewed, it turns color, toxins come out in a wet form not thru sweat, hence the brown color. Over time the patch does reduce in color. But since you intake toxins every day, not just by mouth, nose and skin but by hair as well, you're patch will probably never be like it was before you put it in, completely dry. If anyone honestly thinks that it doesn't work, get it tested before and after. Lab results don't lie.
ya wanna know how they get the "heavy metals" out i think the test results did not involve first cleaning the subjects feet you will run into some crazy stuff with your feet some prolly nuclear but nothing to worry about, i'll be getting some today and i guess ill see if they work
Hi, I am 67 yrs old and husband 68, Our grandson studied in China for 6 mos. People in China have used herbs etc. for thousands of years. Herbs do not have to get FDA approved.. Both of us almost died of FDA approved statins. I was on for 10 yrs and could not walk. Did some research and went off statins, and in one month took my leg brace off. They failed to inform us, if we took the statins we had to take co q 10.. Most Drs know that now, but not 10 yrs. ago. FDA approves anything to make money. We started to use the foot detox pads and felt a big change, had more energy and no pain. I put one on my knee and it was clean in the morning. My feet and hands never sweat. When put on the bottem of feet in the morning a brown thick substance is on the pad. Birth control workS thru the skin and pain killers also so why not the pads.. Also after a month or so when the pads are clear, you only do twice a week. How is it that they become clean?? We put vicks on the bottem of our feet, with socks if we have a cold or on our chest with a towel.. the skin is our biggest organ and that is why they work.. They draw up thru the feet. Rub garlic and the bottom of your feet with socks on and in the morning you will taste garlic. How does that work?? How do patches for stopping smoking work.. through the skin.. All the old Indian and Chinese, etc cures seem alot better than the new pills the FDA is pushing.. OLDER BUT WISER SP.
Try washing your feet very carefully before using the pad, im sure we walk through alot of toxins each day, I think they are nothing more than a glorified foot cleaner
I think we would find that the naysayers are still not convinced that the earth is round(ish). I say round-ish because it's not an entirely perfect sphere. I can tell by some of the cave people posting here that if I said the earth is round, someone would nitpick the f*ck out of my statement. Ive worn the pad thing on one foot for one night(so far) & just this morning I woke up feeling the best Ive felt in 10 years. I rarely ever have a day where I wake feeling good...never in my life actually. I started smoking at age 13, Im now 38 so obviously its no surprise that I feel like sh*t most mornings. Plain & simple, this morning when I woke having worn the pad thing, I felt good. Not fantastic or even great but good. Good enough for right now.
Now for the real truth: If someone believes that something works, then it works. The mind is more powerful than any pill, patch, or treatment.
I have read most of the opinions posted on this page, and I have come to the conclusion that there is only one way to prove or disprove the effectiveness of the foot pads and that is taking used pads to a lab to get tested. I have bought the pads and did so with skeptisism. But I will tell you that I finally opened the package today and put them on different areas of my body just to see what differences would be seen. Well I put one one my neck, one on my wrist one on my chest and one on the bottom of each foot, and after six hours I removed them, they all had some discoloration and the darkest came from the ones on the soles of my feet. As far as people that say they aren't safe or effective because they don't have fda approval is kind of a joke when you consider that the fda is the biggest scam in the history of government, talk about greed, they are in bed with the drug companies, they approve medicines that have been responsible for the deaths of our citezens, they ignore crital test criteria and do whatever they want according to the money andthe drug companies period. All they do is protect the drug companies. I do not have any results from using the detox pads as I just started but if they are a scam It won't be hard for me to find out as I said before a test to a neutral lab will give me all I need to make an informed descision as to any further purchases.
Melanie- Could yu plez proofreed this post four me.
It says to use one pad on each foot for one week to start the cleansing process. Does that mean you leave the one pad on for a full week or do you change it every night? I think they need more detailed directions for us dumb people.
hey nobody said, did u actually do the sweatband wringing trick...and did it produce the same results. also, if u did what about after it dried?
There are indeed two reasons why products like this can't and won't get FDA approval. 1). They are made from 100% natural ingredients, which can't be patented so, 2) The pharmaceutical companies who control the heath care system and the FDA cannot make money from them. The FDA is, however, more than happy to approve products that put toxins INTO our bodies. Remember - they WANT people to become and stay sick. If people aren't sick, then the pharmaceutical companies go out of business. It's all about the money.
That being said, I have not tried the foot pads, and I am a skeptic by nature. However, if you look at the health statistics published by the World Health Organization, people in China and Japan are FAR healthier than people in the US, so Eastern medicine and lifestyles must be doing something right!
The western medical community recognizes the fact that skin is one of the most absorbant parts of the human body, and the bottoms of our feet are especially absorbant. This is why the health department recommends that you never walk bare foot in public areas - you absorb more germs through your feet than any other part of your body. Walking barefoot is considered a "health hazard". If toxins and germs can be taken INTO the body very easily through the bottoms of the feet, why could they not be removed the same way?
Behappy: Exactly which brand are you speaking of? There are so many out there I don't know which is best. Also, I was reading about "foot pouches," and now i guess there are many different forms as well. I want to detox my body as much as possible before I go on a big vacation. Thank you to anyone with useful input on exact product names, indicating how well they work, would be greatly appreciated.
why don't we also try fung sui and study reincarnation? this is probably just an asian concept that is completely mental(you phsyc yourself into believe it is true) and people are trying to market it. i don't know for sure, but it seems a bit bogus. if these did work by 'stimulating' some kind of lymph node or muscle, why would the toxins all go to the feet? you'd think they'd come out in other ways too. why aren't any other parts of your body collecting dirt and harmful toxins? why aren't you sweating them? answer me this: do you really believe that your feet are your 'second heart'?
I have tried these pads and whether they "work" or not I am not sure. I did not experience the tingling sensation that others have. I did not have increased energy and although I noticed a slight stench it did not stink to the high heavens. Lastly, I did not have a soiled pad except for a very faint brownish ring outlining the pad. I guess I am toxin free-WOOHOO!!!(just kidding). Or mabye the pads were old. I dunno. I even did the water test after I took the pads off and at that point it turned brown. At least my curiousity is quenched.
Read Gary's post about shaving a spot on one's head, placing a pad on the spot and drawing out the dead brain cells. I LAUGHED so hard, I think I detoxed myself.
I've heard about the detox pads and have been trying to decide whether or not to try. I may after reading all these comments. First, I've tried "alternative" medicine for the past year. Went and had acupunture done for a "bad" back (muscle spasms, etc) after trying Rx for a week with NO changes in how I felt (other than a week spent in a drug fog). After the one treatment I could actually walk normal (after 2 treatments...no problems). I then decided to try acupunture for allergies (yes, I do have them, had been tested and treated for years). I went in skeptical and did not tell the doc (he's also an MD) what I was allergic to (I had a LONG list). After the test he told me what I was allergic to....guess what? 95% of what I was tested for years ago plus some other things. It's been a year and a half since my last treatment...need to go back as I am exposed to most of my allergens daily. Also use dit da jow for bruising and have seen big differences in the speed in which the bruises go away.
I'm thinking what is the harm in trying this out. Yes, I'll be out some money. Yes, I could "change" the way I eat and exercise but I don't know what other changes I could make in either of those as I exercise daily and except for a rare meal out I make all my foods from either fresh (I grow them) or organic foods. It would not surprise me if this worked but I would also not say it doesn't if it doesn't work for me. Shoot, I have a list of medicines that I've been prescribed over the years for ailments that I've dealt with that don't work that are suppose to work.
My hubby is in the medical community and has told me that people metabolize Rx differently. Someone who takes one med may need to take less than another person depending on how they metabolize meds. Pain meds on me don't work real well....even Rx ones...they just don't last the length of time they are suppose to or they don't even work.
I may or may not come back and post how it works. But I know that I'm going to start looking at the different detox pads so that I can decide which one to order.
Those who want to bash the patch without trying them are %100 loud noise. Why expend the energy in such a mute argument? Even if many others give testimony to support the claims, the nay sayers still say hogwash. If photos are available they say they are retouched. If chemists give analysis to prove toxins are drawn into the patch, they will be called liars. So why argue with those who do not have the inclination or courage to TRY THEM FOR THEMSELVES? They are the ones who can never be helped by good hearted people who simply want to share a good thing. There were only a few posts who did not obtain positive results from the patch, overwhelmingly they were supportive. I tried them and love them. Try them yourself. P.S. Read the history of the AMA and the FDA and the ADA and you will find a history of FRAUD on the American people. Read Agenda 21 and you will understand what is being planned. Watch the documentary "Endgame" and you will wake up fast!
Sounds like Madison has a big fat ass. Try buying high fiber powder and drink with water or eating food with high fibers (banana, apple, high fiber cereal, etc.) that should help you crap more than once a week. We also don't want to hear about the foot long turd that came out of your butt.
I don't claim to be an expert, but I am on day 3 of the 3-day supply of foot patches I purchased. (I will put the 3rd one when I go to bed tonight). I really had no idea what they were for, hence how I found this website! I have to say I am 32 years old and for the past 3 years every 28 days I have the worst menstrual cramps ever. I am doubled over with pain, with extremely heavy flow for the first 2 days of my cycle, well I just started my cycle today, and I kept wondering what was going on because no cramps, and very light flow! I did not intentionally time it to try like this, it just happened, must be the patches. I can't wait to see what the last one looks like in the morning. I am sad to say that after tonight I won't have anymore, I will definately be ordering some though. Wow - don't knock it til you try it! If my lack of symptoms is a result of these patches I would surely recommend them to others. Thanks for the posts to help me understand the purpose of the patches
I researched these pads on this site and through other internet sites before buying them. I have only used them for one night, and had the warm tingling on my feet overnight. I bought the cheapest brand possible (because I am stingy), and although I did not buy them for any particular purpose (I have no health troubles) I do feel lighter on my feet today. There was a lot of brown goo on the pads this morning, and I don't know what it is- but I feel good and to me thats all that matters. I will be telling my sisters how good they are if they stay this good.
I'm very pleased with the results from the pads. I am so pleased that I bought more for most of my family and friends. My mom has had pain in her legs for over 10 years and when she started using the pads a week ago, she now is able to move her legs with little or no pain and in different positions. I will continue to use them.
Don't you people understand that your mind controls everything. If 100 people walk up to you in one hour and say you look absolutely aweful and sickly then you will start feeling ill. If you believe a product works then you will feel you got amazing results. If you are a non-believer (but try a product anyways) then you will see no results. Its all in your mind!!! If you people want to live a healthier lifestyle why not start reducing stress as that would be the best possible way to reduce illness in your lifespan. As for lab results and all this BS, Lower your stress, Eat healthier and excercise and then go get lab tests. You'll be amazed as to what you will find. Stop trying these quick fixes that pop up on TV and the internet because think about it they all fade away after a little time and then there will be more being advertised with some doctor no one knows claiming works. Get on with your lives and get off these stupid computers. Go outside and enjoy being alive!
And the results are! I don't know for I didn't count but seems there are about as many "nay" Sayers as "yay" Sayers. As opinion givers the nay Sayers seem to have a big dose of skepticism an no solid proof that these pads DON'T work, alternately the yea Sayers seem to have the best proof for most say they have had positive results. I think we tend to over analyze some things, why would one want to spend days or months trying to figure out if these work or don’t work. It seems some folks need an extra helping of reality here, they cost $20 bucks or so, you don’t need to take out a loan to give them a try before you assume they DON’T work. Besides you’re not putting anything INTO your body just ON it, maybe we should start a thread about all those perfumes, deodorants, creams etc: that we all use FOREVER what does that cost?
Personally, I have a negative opinion of the FDA they don't help anyone except the drug community, certainly not the people there paid to help and protect. Therefore, if they say a product doesn’t work nor has no merit then I assume it WILL work and have merit simply because they want me to buy products from the big boys that make all those expensive pills, talk about getting hooked on drugs and the FDA condones it.
Best tip: Never trust anyone that says “Trust me” which is what the nay Sayers seem to be saying. They say it’s a scam, they say, don’t waste your money and go on and on about how it can’t work, but not one, well maybe one post said he tried it out of all them.
I have not as if yet tried foot pads but because I am always out to prove the close minded folks wrong and get them to open their minds up to the possibilities and just maybe they are missing the boat, I know, "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink it" Anyway, think I will give them a try, simply because "Proof is in the Pudding" so to speak. If it works for me, that’s great, if it don’t, no big deal, spend more money on junk I don’t need anyway.
As to the spelling freaks in the above post, I agree with the poster that this is the internet folks there is no test and you are not being graded. H---e is a s------g t--t, or m---e a r-----g t--t. Y-u s-e s------g h-s n-----g to do w--h u-----------g w--t t-e w----r is s----g g-t t-e p---t. I r--t my c--e.
“You’ll Never Fly Like An Eagle, If You Associate With Turkeys”
they work..buy them
All I can say is give them a try. I was skeptical about them myself but a local health food store was giving away some for free. The first night they were disgusting. Brown, sticky and smelly. The second night not so much. The third night lighter yet. One morning I took them off and they were clean. No brown, no wetness, no smell, not sticky at all. I thought I did something wrong actually but then I learned that they will be clean when the treatment is complete. I thought they were amazing. I felt better. I was energized. I had not felt that great in awhile. I read a comment from someone who said you can feel the "pull" the first few nights. I felt the same thing, well actually it was more like a strange dull pain in my lower legs. Also maybe a bit of TMI but I noticed my urine was darker when I first started and I went more often and I found myself very thirsty. All I can say to anyone who is skeptical is give them a try. You can find them for fairly inexpensive at some local health food stores. Give them a full run and see how you feel at the end when your pads come clean. Like I said I was skeptical but now I will go down and purchase a few every few months. I feel so much better!
Oh by the way I almost forgot. Don't buy the ones on TV. You CAN find them for MUCH cheaper! The TV ones may be a scam or just a rip off. The free trial I got from the local store was for 2 weeks, because she believed so much in the product she wanted everyone to be able to really try them. She sells a 2 week supply for like $12. So you can see they are much much much cheaper else where.
For a medical lab tech Dr. Mitch Brown should know that when you use the word 'weather' in a sentence like this you spell it 'whether'.Where did you get your degree?
Funny how we just keep getting more and more stupid, the older we get. I can remember as a child how we laughed and laughed at those stupid Asians and their quackery. Acupuncture! Acupressure! How SILLY. How could ANYONE actually be "healed" by sticking needles in their skin!!! Now we gullible westerners are doing it, too!
I am not at ALL effected by Placebos. Never have been. Being the eternal optimist, I sometimes buy some quacky bit of snake oil, only to throw it away. THESE DAMN STUPID FOOT PADS WORK!!!! I used them for two weeks and felt better than I had in FOURTEEN YEARS. Then I listened to a bunch like you, and didn't re-order. After another two weeks WITHOUT them I'm back to feeling like crap and eating prescription pills to get through the day.
Needless to say I'm ordering more.
I'm not surprised to read this thread and see the questionable spellers, debatable physicians(?), and dePLOREable grammarians! Not that I should talk - English was my worst subject.
But c'mon people!! Doesn't anyone know how to find and use Google?? It only took me a few minutes to find an answer to most of the pro and con questions on here.
This page gives you the info to send your used foot patch to a lab and have it tested, for $20, for the presence of:
Benzene Nickel Isopropyl alcohol Thallium Methyl alcohol Thulium Aluminum Arsenic Cadmium Asbestos Copper Azo Dyes Lead PCBs Mercury

They don't care what brand you used or where you purchased it from.
This site claims (believably) to be the largest manufacturer, most recommended and doctor recommended "sap sheet" company in Japan. They have many patient information sheets posted of various tests and conditions done before and after the use of their product. What makes them particularly believable is the fact they don't have anything for sale on their site. They talk about becoming a distributor but I'm damned if I can figure out how to "Step 1 -- Make your initial purchase:" even if I wanted to.
http://www.kenrico.com/sapsheet.html
And if anyone is still unsure - they specifically say there are ingredients in the sap sheets designed to make the feet perspire. It's key to the process.
As for the majority of the negative comments on here, I feel very sorry for you. your close-mindeness and bigoted way of viewing the world is apparent in every word you type. It's a very small, dark world you've chosen to live in.
I will be trying these. Almost every single person who does notices an immediate, dramatic impact. Those few who don't sound like they didn't have much going on to be impacted that dramatically in the first place. I know enough about health to know that it's the subtleties early on that lead to the chronic and acute conditions later. Would it be so bad if I used these early enough that there was nothing dramatic in my health to change?
Those who are writing need to to check spelling errors please =) I first found about these pads browsing online for ways to detox. Yes I was one of those skeptics but needless to say I decided to give it a try. Now, being 25 years old and fairly healthy, I decided to try it for simple detox purposes, and in the hopes of feeling more energized, and I have a slight balance problem. I initially started with a trial pack. Very interestingly enough, the pads turned brown and black ONLY in the areas where my body indicated the most weakness and pain. This is true reflexology at work people! Reflexology diagrams show that certain spots on your foot sole aim directly to your vital organs. Our nerve endings are at the soles of our feet. Experiment on where you apply it. So here's my concluding comments: you pay for what you get! I have been sampling quite a few brands of patches, but the most expensive ones seem to expel the most toxins. Be wary of cheap imitations and do your research! I do not feel that the patches are to be used everyday, unless the pads come out extremely dark. Yes I have seen the patches decrease in color so it means I am ridding myself of toxins. What's more, when people tell you that you look healthier or walking better how can you deny that! However, this is not the only means that one should detox. A good balance of drinking filtered water, tea, and more whole grains, as well as rigorous exercise will definitely assist in the process. Yes I am a believer in detox foot pads. Thanks for reading.
how can anyone believe that years of toxin intake can be reversed in a matter of days or weeks (like the commercials say)? i would think that you'd need years to cleanse these harmful items from your system. btw...do YOU know how the body works? do YOU know where you are getting these toxins? in any case it would probably help to do the research about the "ancient asian techniques and medicine" or even how this works.
Like the naysayers say....everyone is looking for a quick fix and the easy route to well being. I myself have an ulcer....and im 28. will these pads clear that up? unlikely....they probably dont heal open sores. in america i could claim that potato juice will give you vitality, and someone out there will believe it. ive tried countless treatments to help give me energy, loose weight, etc. but few work.
i pose a question, im guessing that some of the toxins in your body are from smoking, soda, fatty foods, alcohol, illicit drugs, or perscription drugs, just to name a few sources. perhaps try removing one or all of those sources and see how the pads work. take into account your lifestyle. are you overweight? do you have a job working around hazardous materials? remove all the variables (if possible) and then try them. i bet that 20+ years of mcdonalds and marlboro cant be reversed in the time claimed with these products.
one last thing...take all "miracle cures" with a grain of salt. Remember that Kevin Trudeau is continuing to bilk thousands of dollars from people with his worthless books, about what? MIRACLE CURES! i would hope that this isnt another case of that.
Thanks
andy, don't be so quick to comment on spelling when you can't spell yourself ;) [definately ... definitely]
I like these foot pads! :)
Well, since everyone else is giving an opinion, I think I'll add mine. "Detoxing" is a joke. You know that gross stuff that comes out your backside when you take those "cleansing" products? That's all a jell created by the product. Just like those little cardboard like "toys" that expand when water is added, you're expanding this gross stuff in your innards and being fooled into thinking this is cleansing stuff that's supposedly been stewing in your guts for years. Your internal organs are just about the only thing that "cleanses" you.
Taking silly lemonade drinks, pills and powders, etc is just a bunch of nonsense being drilled into your head by those who stand to make a profit from it, or by those that have been talked into believing in their abilities.
The reason this person is telling you these "detox" foot bandages are a scam is because they are. Anyone thinking rationally would know it's a load of crap. Just look at how many people on here claim they work as long as you try them, and admit that they're also peddlers of this load of nonsense. If it is working for you, it's because there are a lot of people who get results because they believe they're going to get results.
PHD, my ass. No real doctor endorses scams.
Does anyone know how to contact Kinoki other than the infomercial? I ordered the 'free for life" and want to cancel to go to a more reliable supplier, but I can't find a real person anywhere. You can leave a message, but no one returns your calls.
Two friends and I have tried them. I am using a grapefruit version which is recommended for acid reflux. I have suffered from this for over 2 years on a daily basis. Eight days into it and my reflux is greatly rduced. My friend had lower backpain and had been off work. The pain has reduced enough for him to go back to work, he applies one directly to the area of pain this started out brown and yucky but now comes away white but the foot ones are still brown. The other friend had nothing wrong with her and she feels exactly the same as before she started. The manufacturer is Kenrico and their site has loads of info with clinical studies carried out in FDA level labs. It does all sound hocus pocus to start but if you study the explanations you will see how it all starts to make sense. One last thing these are available on prescription in Japan the country that has the lowest rate of heart diseasein the world.
What concerns me more than anything in this column is the fact that some are so willingly blind to the fact that "approved drugs" kill. In fact, a lot more people have body issues that were caused by these "approved drugs". We're willing to try anything that is low-risk, low-cost - who gets prescriptions for $20 these days? If you want to trust a Dr. ok by me, but when you're 1 foot in the grave because of one and their precious pills, you'll know the other side of the story.
I have been using these pads for over two weeks now, and at first I felt very tired, and didn't sleep too well, but after researching a bit, I found out that by drawing these toxins out of your body, you can become very tired for a few days. I feel much better now, and my arthritis in my toes and fingers has actually been better. I aloso have fibromyalgia, and that is much better too. I am not sure if this is a hoex or not, but I can really say I am feeling so much better than I ever have, and if it's all in my mind, well then if thats what they do for you, I'll take it. Those who are giving this item a bad rap, have no idea if they really work or not, so don't bash this item unless you have solid proof.
I've been on em for about 6 months and within' those 6 months I've lost a few pounds, gained a little energy...I have a bit more of a sex drive too, and I've quit smoking. Now this could of course just be a coincidence but regardless I'm happy. I do however prefer a specific type of detox pad. I get the ones from the eliminatingtoxins.com website. they seem to have a lil more variety. :)
This is a hoax. I have used them for over a week and they always come out dark. I do not think my body has so much toxins. I believe that there is something in the pads that when you sweat makes them darker. I do not feel any different. Do not waste your money
To "behappy" or other pad product users:
Can you tell me which brand of pads did you try?
Which brand is the best?
I would be curious to have the pads tested. One pad from a foot and one that is activated with water so that they look similar. If they are getting heavy metals out of the pad who is to say that the heavy metals are not in the pad to begin with? If anyone has a site to suggest that has actual research I would like to see it.
Incidentally I have tried the pads. I am not sure if they did much but they did help with the cracked heals. I would like to try them more but would like to find some research that says they are indeed safe. The substances in the patch could be absorbed by our bodies. I wonder how safe this is?
to those who did not trust the doctors because of spelling. Ask anyone who works with medical students. They have terrible language skills. Med students are not English majors. To me bad spelling is a good indication that the person is actually a doctor.
Okay, so where is the best place to get these pads? There are so many choices and they all seem just a bit different. I need something that is affordable and will work. My doctors don't seem to be able to help me, so I'm ready to try anything. I can't stand to continue living in discomfort. If the "real" medical doctors can't help me then I have no problem trying alternatives.
I dont know about all these positive / negative comments, we are each entitled to whatever.. but one thing I can say is as a smoker, I was totally grossed out when I started using the pads. When I removed the pads I was overwhelmed by a foul smell, which I came to realize by getting up close and personnel was the smell of nasty nicotine like a wet ashtry.. Gotta wonder where did thet nicotine stench come from... had to be from inside me.. the pad didn't smell like a cigarette before I put it on.. whatever the cause, the pads in my mind, smile are not only are helping me to detox, its actually the closest Ive gotten to even think twice about quitting smoking.. Ive been on the patches less then a week, I wouldnt be surprized to finally after 30+ years of menthol cigarettes to actaully see me quit.. 2 for the price one.. dexot the bod, eliminate the toxins and stench created by some toxins. and quit smoking. either way Im a believe and as Forest Gump would say... "thats all I have to say about that.".
Who cares if they work or not, if hard working individuals want to spend their money on so called detoxing foot pad - who cares. Let they consumer decide for themselves if it works for them.
To quote the article "my biology classes never indicated anything as dense as heavy metal particles could be drawn through the skin" This is a false statement lots of medals can be absorbed through the skin, ever heard of mercury? Maybe you should take more Biology classes.
I've been using the detox pads for two days and do notice a relief of tension in my lower and upper body. The pads are dark brown and gooey after one night, interestingly the pads do have a brown, crushed bamboo material within but it cannot just be my body heat that turns them completely discolored. My feat feel more vitalized and my whole body is working better. My acupuncturist told me to do a total body detox to get all the metals out, she said pads couldn't scientifically have drastic detox affects but would power-start my accupressure points and lymphs.
They Work,
Peace,
Chris
I have tried these foot pads for the last 4 nights. I have noticed that the bottoms of my feet no longer hurt and I feel calmer. I know you all are not going to take my word for it. If you think that they will not work, then they won't. You have to try new things with an open mind. BTW....stop trashing eachother on this website....this is not high school.
I don't drink soda, have never smoked, I rarely eat pre-packaged foods, I drink lots of decaf and herbal tea and 1% milk, I cook from scratch, I am not taking any perscription medicines. I see our planet in decline from the ice caps to the tiny frogs. We know that we're destroying the planet with all kinds of emissions all of these get into us one way or the other. It might have to do with the fact that I just turned 47 on Saturday and have recommitted to 'getting in shape' and to the extent possible I want to get all this YUCK out of my system. I have seen the TV ads and 'wondered' but didn't order. Yesterday, without knowledge of this site, I bought a box at the local drugstore (3-day supply) - figured for $10 'why not?' So here's my take (for whatever it's worth). I washed my feet (vegan glycerin soap) and dried them. Affixed the pad onto the arch of my feet and went to bed at 10 PM. I didn't wake up at anytime in the course of the night - my feet didn't tingle, ache, feel numb or sweat. When I got up this morning I actually kept them on until a full 12 hours had passed. They were white and completely devoid of scent when I put them on - umm, save you the graphics already well documented here - but yes, the colour of weak coffee and yes, surpringly gooey (which the box made no mention of) and the smell was HORRENDOUS. To which end I know that friends who are personal trainers and SERIOUS Athletes do not smell when they sweat but when I 'glow' Mitchum Maximum Strength won't even help! So, yes, exercise, drink cleansing liquids, fresh organci foods, skip the bottled water because those plastics going into the planet are not nice!, and frankly if I use blue algae, green tea, shitake mushroom extract, pomengrates and sea mud on my face and body then why not foot pads to help detox?
I haven't tried them yet, but I can't wait!
How interesting it will be to see all that gunk coming out of the feet on to the pad!
It reminds me of those BIORE Pore Pads for the Nose. You stick this pad on your nose and tear it off and you can examine it and see all the blackheads, and pore gunk on the pad!!! Amazing! It rips the dirt and fat deposits right out of the pores and it all shows up on the pad!!! There's a chemical in it that grips/binds with the pore and after it dries, you rip it off and it lifts all that dirt and fat out of there! And yes these pads scientifically work.
They're 2 different products that work differently, except one common factor: you can see all the gunk that came out of your skin on the pad! Wow!
I've tried BIORE ,its great. I haven't yet tried the foot pads.
OMG! i knew the world is going crazy and has a lot of stupid people in it. But reading all the "they reall work" comments here blows my mind. Seriously. If these pads worked, WHY WOULD WE NEED ANTIBIOTICS? If these pads worked, why would you need to put neosporin on a cut? Shoot, they would just make little mini pads to put on your wound to suck out the infection, wouldn't they??
Come on people, educate yourself on how the human body WORKS. The ONLY thing that these pads MAY do is put "medicine" INTO your body (like a birth control patch) with stimulates your lymph nodes and thus does the SAME thing a pill of the same ingredients would do. THAT's the marketing genious! People are DONE taking pills. Pills mean "sickness". Foot patches represent "new age". Whoever came up with these things is a MARKETING GENIUS!!!
Just wait 3 months, 6 months, or however long it takes for these things to be exposed for how they really work. They turn brown and smell because of bodily sweat. Medicine/herbs may go INTO your skin, but they certainly do not "draw" something out . . . that's a play on words. They can SAY that because the TRACE amounts that are absorbed by your skin MAY induce your lymph nodes to work a teeny tiny bit more; hencing "drawing out" toxins in your body. The whole pad getting dark and smelling from toxins is CRAP.
And those who have "tested" them . . . you're a bunch of scam artists who are either bold face lieing, or your literally took the time to place the patch on a dirty foot of someone who had walked around barefoot all day and picked up these elements from their garden, etc.
WAKE UP PEOPLE. THis is what's wrong with the human race today and why the rich keep getting richer . . . cause the stupid keep getting more stupid (and gullible).
FACT: Modern medicine (while I believe in its' importance) does not know everything. FACT. Asians, most especially, the Japanese are the healthiest people and live the longest on this planet, so to discount ancient medicine such as this is rediculous!
I have undergone Relflexolgy for years, with wonderful results (even though I was quite leery at first,. Very much the, non-believer)
Unless you are a scientist, with actual science to back up your claim, you are doing a lot of people an injustice not making it clear that this is your own opinion.
There is much modern medicine does not yet know, any Medical Doctor will tell you it is not an exact science, Hence the reason they PRACTICE medicine..
SHAME ON YOU FOR STEERING PEOPLE FROM A THERAPY THAT MAY BE BENEFICIAL TO THEM!

<"First define toxin. There is no such definition in the medical world. Second, ANY product that claims it helps remove toxins from any part of the body is absolute quakery">
My response:
ARE you kidding? NO SUCH DEFINITION OF TOXIN TO THE HUMAN BODY IN THE MEDICAL WORLD? Have you ever been to the doctor? Have you ever read a book or a newspaper or anything? Do you honestly think there is no such term? Do you honestly think there are no contaminates in the air, water, food, etc that are harmful and toxic to the human body?
If you honestly think that, then go lick some lead, drink water with toxic waste in it, or better yet., breathe in carbon monoxcide, or somehow abosorb any of the known cancer causing TOXINS. After all, there is no such definition in modern medicine, right?
Oh my gosh ...how can people be so critical and full of comments on just 1 issue of DETOX FOOTPADS? Geee ...if U want to know, try it. You don't have to pay alot to try it, just google for good deals. I got to try the FOOTPAD detox selling through dreamsproductscatalog.com & love them. I just order them again after 5nights using them on both feet. Why? Because I have suffered greatly from years and years of unknown causes of insomnia, headaches + body aches + recently some symptoms of constipations & kidney infection, these footpads somehow help me getting through the nights well and days without pains. So yes, I like them and will buy them again. I just find out that you can also buy more footpads at lakesidecollections.com with more quantities & cheaper prices. So if you're skeptical, DONT' TRY ANYTHING =practice your safe guidelines. If you're like me & have curiosity about all the new products, GIVE IT A TRY (ONLY IF YOU HAVE MONEYS OF COURSE) lol. If you don't have moneys for grocery, then GROCERY DOES COME FIRST ...LOL. I'm a nurse, I might not be 100% in spelling or grammar, but I do think there're many products that cannot be scientifically proved at 100% whether it works or not for different people. For example, I like acupuncture & many doctors will disagree with me while many start to take lessons on this subject like me. So if you like to buy it cheap, i would suggest: https://www.dreamproductscatalog.com/details.cfm?i and http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?I=VP7&Ntt= . No --I'm not an agent for these two website, just post them for those people who wants to open up to new products with cheaper options. Good lucks & cheerios. Let's live happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to love the Internet. With a few key strokes I can be a man a women or even a doctor.
I was following Health Insider's explanation of how the pad was bogus until they said "But I got something that REALLY WORKS!"
I'll go on a limb though and say the pad is bunk. But if it makes you feel better buy it "buy" all means. On one TV Series they put snail slime on people's faces and the people swore it worked as promised (Make you look younger, reduce wrinkles, ect..)
But if the pads were so great, and worked so quickly, why are they no being used in hospitals? Why doesn't poison control tell you to slap them all over your body in an accidental poisoning? I guess our medical community is just not able to keep up with "Ancient Chinese Secret!" Wait, maybe that's rice?
Anyway, I am a medical professional. One sure thing I can tell you when it comes to people. Well make it two things. People will believe what they want (as in OJ is innocent.) And the other, the biggy is - You can't cure stupid.
300,000 years of evolution and I look around and think, "This is the best mankind has to offer?" We should have just stayed in the trees.
I saw Dr. Oz on Oprah say that if your feet stink, besides the obvious bathing them daily and wearing fresh socks, you can soak them in tea water. I also use deodorizer powder in my shoes.
If you can buy decent canvas tennis shoes and wash them regularly, that will help too. But these patches will not detox your body.
poop
Hi,
I just wanted to say that some of you are so far from right it's funny! The detox pads are not medicine. The ingrediants are all natural and actualy work. There have been plenty of evidence to prove that they work. Here's what you do, go get some work checkups from your Dr, then use the foot pads and go back to your Dr and see the difference. I found mine at www.tvproductsandmore.com and I feel alot better!
I doubt the person who signed his name "Dr.Brown," is a doctor. He has too many grammatical spelling errors in his comment!
For instance: weather should be whether, can not is one word cannot, i should be I, possitive is spelled positive.
Dr. Mitch Brown says:5 months ago
I started using the pads eight days ago alternating feet each night per the instructions on the box. I started with the arch area – the first two nights on each foot the pads turned solidly dark brown. The third night on each arch they were mostly white – white in the middle with a brown border. I then moved on to the area between the arch and toes. I have done one night on each foot – both times the pad was solidly dark brown and sticky. I can’t say I feel any different (yet?). However, I had an itchy bump at the sight of my flu shot ever since I received the shot in October. A couple of days ago I noticed that the itching was gone and the bump had dried up and fallen off. I now have a small scar in the area. Coincidence? Maybe – maybe not. Placebo effect? Probably not. I’m going to use the pads for a month or so before making a decision as to they are doing anything for me.
I have been reading commentary on several sites about whether the detox foot pads work. I have seen a trend in people denouncing them based on logic, common sense, their interpretaion of scientific facts, etc. However, none of them say that they have tried them and gotten negative results. The people that have tried them have mostly indicated some sort of positive outcome. It's easy for some people to denounce an alternative treatment, but I'm sure those people do not have any chronic health issues. I've had debilitating migraines for 10 years and tried everything I know-traditional and alternative. Many things that worked for others were not effective for me. When I try new treatments now,I look for those that have money back guarantees. Then, I really have nothing to lose. The bottom line is, I don't care why the pads turn brown, or if it is the "placebo" effect or what exactly the healing effects are based upon, I only care if it works. That's the point. I'm sure the people that are open to the possibilty have significant health issues that affect their lives every day. People that get up every morning and feel fine should count their blessings, open their minds and not be so judgemental.
I have not tried these yet but I do have a few comments to make. First, they are fairly inexpensive so it is really no big deal to try them. Second, I think one thing should be clear, no one is claiming they are the end all be all of your health problems and there can be some benefit to their use. Third, there are many viable forms of health care in the world today, many of which have been around for thousands of years so it is worth keeping an open mind.
I am not saying you will be "cured" of anything but that doesn't mean it can't help you feel better. We are surrounded by toxic chemicals in the enviroment and products we use everyday, so your body can certainly absorb these toxins.
Eating organic foods and exercise is always the best medicin. Prevention is always the best way to achive and maintain health. Western medicine primarily looks at disease. Disease means that your health has progress so much that now there is physical evidence.
Prevent disease from occuring and you will have a better quality of life.
If poeple say the foot patches help them, good for them. If they don't help you, nothing much was really lost.
Best Wishes
PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES PAY DOCTORS- BY MEANS OF VARIOUS INCENTIVES AND EXPENSIVE GIFTS TO PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCT- TO RECOMEND IT TO THEIR PATIENTS
HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU SEEN A COMMERCIAL SAYING SOMETHING LIKE "DID YOU OR A LOVED ONE TAKE VIBSOVAK AND THEN YOUR HANDS FELL OFF AND YOU FEET TURNED PURPLE AND YOUR LIVER EXPLODED? YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A CASH SETTLEMENT..."
AND THE FDA APPROVED ALL OF THOSE DRUGS........THERE WAS A TIME WHEN CIGARETTES WERE RECOMMENDED BY DOCTORS-SERIOUSLY!
THE NEW FLU SHOT RECOMENDATIONS ARE IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT YOU ARE 4X AS LIKELY TO GET HIT BY LIGHTENING AS YOU ARE TO DIE OF THE FLU AND THE MERCURY IN THE SHOT HAS BEEN LINKED TO AUTISM AND ALTIMERS (incorrect spelling-sorry)
WE NEED TO BE OUR OWN HEALTH ADVOCATES, SIMPLY BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL BE
If you have a problem with painful heals, these detox pads are a life saver! I feel so much better and can stand on my foot first thing in the morning when wearing them the night before. I guess if you don't feel you have a problem, don't use them but I plan on continuing using them as long as they are beneficial.
I just ordered these patches and can't wait to receive them in the mail. Has anyone that have used the patches noticed an improvement in their cellulite? I was hoping that since they are good for your lymph node drainage that it would help with cellulite too.
I dont know if i should use them now! Give me an honest review some-one please!!
I suffered from cronic back pain at the age of 22. I was young and could not get out of my house for more then a few hours. My doctor only wanted to give me painkillers which i refused since he could not tell me what was wrong. So, I suffered alot for 9 months. Then someone told me to see a chiropractor, I figured what do I have to lose? $50 dollars for help I'll try it. He fixed me, I can walk again and play paintball and all the things I had just about given up on.
One day he said he had this Ionic Foot Bath I should try. I thought he was a quack when he told me about it. He said he will give me the first 1 for free if I don't feel it's for me I can stop. I did. I get restless legs alot, I have my whole life. I went to bed that night for the first time without this horrible feeling in my legs.
The pads seem to work the same way as this foot bath so I have bought some and am waiting for them in the mail. The bath is more "intense" but the pads are cheaper ^.^ I hope they work same.
Finally, for all those skeptics out there. I am a pharmacy tech and I can tell you that most of the drugs out there have unknown sites of action. Meaning they don't really know how they work, only that they do work somehow. You can't put a patent on herbs and everyday products. So who really is going to pay for the research to prove these things are effective?
Don't know why some of you waste your time writing if you do not have the expertise to make an educated commentary other than it's just not possible or call something quackery. Maybe you are a little constipated and would do well to consider that just about everything in your current lifetime would have been referred to as "quackery" and nonsense just a hundred or so years ago. Note that several of the comments that support the validity of this type of product come from persons with medical or scientific education. The very foundation of science is to question and find evidence that proves or disproves a hypothesis. I do have a medical education, which includes advanced pathophysiology, and can tell you that you need to stop wasting your time and other readers time with your uneducated and ignorant commentary. I can tell you that your claims that state this method is an impossibility are dead wrong. So please move on to a topic that you might know something about. (Like being a pain in the ass). Your witty little comments about taping one to your head or 'LOL' because you think it's a scam and how could we be so stupid to fall for this, are the real shame. No one is asking you to buy this so get over it. It has been people such as yourself that have hindered the progress of civilization from day one. Amazing that soooo many people that have tried this product have had positive experiences. Myself included.
Guess what. I was skeptical, but like others I decided to buy some from holistec.com (they are the least expensive). My wife tried them too,
I don't wear socks to bed, but to make sure I didn't sweat we turned the heat down to 65 and I went without a blanket (just a sheet). I was quite cold in the morning, but wanted to make sure there was no chance of me sweating in these things.
They turned brown as expected. I put them on the back of my legs at the calf level (where I do sweat a lot for some reason) and nothing happened. They were as dry and white as when I put them on. So I don't think sweat is the factor here.
We have noticed that although we're not experiencing the amazing energy surge others are, the "sluggishness" seems to have disappeared. It's a very subtle thing that I can't explain exactly, but that feeling of "walking in slush" is gone, so maybe that's the energy increase.
Anyway, I spent the money and was happy with the results. After two weeks we both felt better. One week since using them and it's about the same, so the "toxins" haven't collected back enough to slow me down.
Yes, I do exercise more than most folks, and drink water by the tons. I have no qualms about herbal medicines, and am not pro-Western medicine biased like many of my friends who can't understand medicine that isn't produced in a pharmaceutical lab.
And the FDA - what a joke. Do you really believe they protect us one bit? They are in the pockets of big business like most other govt agencies, so don't use that line about "the govt is here to help us". If you believe that then I have some foot pads to sell you (I have no more bridges).
Anyway, all I can say is that made a difference with me and my wife, and it was worth the price of a good meal out to try them.
One other thing. I noticed that approximately 100% of people who haven't tried them don't think they work, and about 3/4 of those who have seem to like them. I'm no statistician, but maybe the negative Nelly's out there who don't think they work becasue they haven't tried them probably don't think that Hybrid cars don't operate becasue they haven't tried them either.
Just a thought.
Would all the spelling police please take the night off! Jeez! The essential question here is "Do the toxin pads really work?" I thank those of you who are sharing your testimonials. I thank the spelling challenged doctors who are sharing good wisdom. Yes, I already own ocean front property in Arizona too. But the darn things work folks - I feel better. Love live freedom of "speach" , I mean, uh, speech!
IM ON WELFARE....I ACCIDENTLY POOPED IN MY PANTS
I just purchased a box of these detoxify pads, I have been very skeptical about them as well, but I finally tried them last night for the first time. I woke up and my pads were filled with gooey/black stuff on the pads. My husband tried them last night as well; his was gooey/black but not as much as mine. I felt "renewed" "stress free" Like the world was a new world. My husband and I have been under extreme amount of stress so I thought it was worth it. I believe they do work and I will be using them again for the next 30 days to see if I see a different in the amount of gooey/black stuff. This is my opinion.
I bought about 60 of them and have been trying them on both feet on the pads, arch and heel and all come out brown. My feet "feel" better at night after I apply them and I will continue to try them consistently until they are gone or they turn clear. I do not know exactly why they feel beter but I feel a tingling energy kind of like after a pedicure. So for any of you skeptics I say try it first give it a sht and then leave a message to the group what your experience was...it is feedback folks and we all want to know what happens. I am hoping that they are removing toxins and the thought of it is enough to make me try them. Our world has become so full of toxic corporations running us that if these are an aid to at least begin to pay attention to an alternative then they are worth it. I wish everyone the very best and hope for the results to be positive for you!
just wanted to see my name on this website, and yes i'm planning to purchase the foot pads for myself and my husband
I have really been tempted to try these. At night, my feet and legs become very hot and burn. I feel tired constantly. With the sensations of my feet, I can see where they could help. Even in the day time, my feet burn a lot. Anybody tried these with these symptons? I wish I could get over being skeptical.
I have been using for a week now and I am amazed at the stuff that comes out each morning. I am waiting to see if they clear up over time. I do have more energy since I have been using them. I will continue till my supply runs out. If they come clean I will be sold.
Tryone, you made me laugh. LOL I hope you had some TP close by.
I have never tried the detox foot pads, but would like to. I saw them on an infomercial for Kinoki and became very interested. The pricing on each brand varies alot. I have never tried any detox method before, so this will be my first. I would like to know what brand will be inexpensive, yet still effective. I have read that the ones that are made in the US are good, but not as good as the ones made in Japan or where ever else they are made. I dont have alot of money to waste on these detox pads if they dont work, but I dont have alot of energy and feel down in the dumps alot and believe its because of the way that I eat and the enviornment around me. I am a little skeptical about these, but as stated above, dont knock it till you try it! Again, to those that have had a good experience with the detox foot pads, what brand did you use?
Its funny that you keep hearing how these have been so widely tested, yet no one links or even gives clear results of the supposedly many studies...
is it just me or does it seem like the companies trying to sell these are trying to counter the artical by posting lots of testimonials, some of wich are extreamly hostile, under different names that say alot and yet prove nothing.
The statements made in the artical can be stated because they are basic knowledge gained from a basic education. We are not trees, we seperated from that branch or organizams in the single cell stages of evolution, which is evident fromt he very different systems that exist in plants vs. things that have to EAT!
These things are nothing more then a scam and i have a feeling all these testimonials are nothing more then a few people trying to take away from the good common knowledge apporach that we should all take. For all those who say they feel better, look up the placebo effect.... you should have learned about in many science classes....
When my grandfather said, "it takes all kinds", he wasn't kidding.
First off, Common Sense!!, you have got to be the biggest Moron that I've ever come across! Really, you can't be that ignorant. Either you are or you work for the Pharmaceutical Industry, I have yet to decide.
Now on to Phyllis. Dear Phyllis, please get a clue! WHETHER or not Dr. Brown is indeed a doctor is truly meaningless, rather if you really think that a person's profession dictates WHETHER or not they can spell or use proper grammar than you are absolutely lost in this world. I've read books from people who make a living writing, that are littered with spelling and grammatical errors, so really, please, by all means, get a clue.
phyllis says:3 weeks ago
I doubt the person who signed his name "Dr.Brown," is a doctor. He has too many grammatical spelling errors in his comment!
Finally, Guy Incognito, congrats! As statistics go, when it comes to the people that make up this thread, you are in the top 1 percent in regards to intelligence. For you morons (you know who you are), that means he is a lot smarter than you.
Those of you that are knocking the foot pads, I'm guessing that you are the same people who would pop a pill made from the Pharmaceutical Companies without thinking twice. The same pill that is later found to cause heart attacks or kill people 5 months down the road.
Please people I beg you, open you minds for just a minute and I will simplify things for you! Guy Incognito said it best. For the price of a meal you can judge the pads for yourself.
If you try them and feel that they work for you, terrific! You can continue to buy them and feel healthier.
If you try them and find that they are an absolute waste of money, that's wonderful. Then, you can go back to popping pills prescribed by your doctor because all doctors are 100 percent honest, 100 percent of the time. They are the most honest people in the world. Surely they can't ever be wrong, mislead, or trying to make a buck off of you.
i think these detoxing foot pads are just all in your head, like take a pill and you'll fell better. its just you thinkin crazy. try using these foot pads
i think these detoxing foot pads are just all in your head, like take a pill and you'll fell better. its just you thinkin crazy. try using these foot pads
Has anyone done a test to discover if these pads are just collecting what the body naturally eliminates with or without the pads?
Before writing an article as such. I suggest 1. Trying the foot pads. 2. Do more scientific research. 3. Do more historical research or 4. Remove your article.
I am open to critisicm and different views usually which is why I googled this in the first place. I respect people's opinions if they are backed up with valid points. Quite frankly, regardless of whether the foot pads work or not, your facts alone are not strong enough to support your argument. You are entitled to your own opinion but you should have a valid argument to support it hence it makes the article pointless.
1. Foot pads have been around for a long time in the far eastern oriental countries. I remember being 7 years old and my mother using them. My grandmother had also used them. Now at 22, I am using them. If they are such a fad then I ask you why have they been around for so long? and why are their usage being passed down generations and welcomed into the western world?
2. Have you tried using them? I think the answer is definately 'no'. Yes the pads turn brown when you spray water on them. They also turn brown when they draw out toxins from your body which, by the way, SHOULD contain water traces otherwise there is something incredibly wrong with your body if you are drawing out solid compound metal through your pores which you are suggesting! If it is sweat, then please can you explain why the brown discoluration fades the longer you use the pads? They fade as the toxin levels decrease in your body. The longer you use them the less sticky and brown they get. I, myself, stop using them when they stop turning brown and sticky. Your sweat glands continuously produce sweat, they cannot be rinsed dry.
3. Definition of heavy metals. Please research into this more. We do not have solid pieces of metal roaming our bodies (apart from the result of certain bone adjusting operations). In chemistry lessons, you would have learnt that metals have an ionic form in your body. Iron (Fe2+) is in your red blood cells and helps you abosorb/carry oxygen around your body more efficiently. It is not a solid and you cannot touch it. It is not a compound. It is an element in its ionic form which is TINY. It is so small that it is probably smaller than nutrients in your body which means yes these things can be drawn out through the skin.
It is not a fad. It actually works. In this day and age not everyone has time for a master cleanser diet and so sometimes it is easier to stick two pads on before bed with a busy schedule. There are certain toxins which are more difficult to eliminate from the body with things such as the master cleanser diet which is where the foot pads come in. If the foot pads don't work on you it is because you eat macrobiotically and live in a bubble away from toxins.
I apologise if I offend the person who wrote this article. Like I said, I am open and generally respect other people's opinions if they are supported with valid points. As an 'oriental but western born' chemistry student at a top university, I find your article pointless.
I started using the Takara foot detox patch 4 nights ago. As did my husband, we are 23 and 24 yrs. The gooey/greenish tan "toxins" were drawn from our feet. How ever, I have been getting migranes and stinging urine. I dont know if they are making me dehydrated or not, but I hope these are not permanent side effects. I had not had this problem prior to using the patches. Initially, we paid $89 for a standard cleanse (30 Day Supply) and that was supposidly 1/2 off the original price of $165. Maybe they are working, It's too early to say, but is continuing the product worth it? In addition, I have some increased enery and less fatigue- Has Anyone Had The Analysis On Their Pads?

Let's talk about cost, shall we. Buy the pads from the infomercial and pay about $30 for 14 pads. That's more than $2 per pad. Check Ebay. Regularly available for less than 40 cents a pad with a little good timing and paitience
My wife started using the pads a few months ago. I was a complete skeptic, but I tried them a few weeks back just to humor her. I can't explain it, but within a couple of days I just felt better, like someone had oiled my joints. If you've ever been a smoker, and then quit, you know how after a while you just feel less polluted? It's a lot like that.
I actually found this thread by trying to find out a little more about the pads, and I've noted what several before me have observed: Not many people that have tried them are calling them stupid. I can't recall who said it, but someone said "Look for the ridiculous in anything and you will find it." I knew a rather intelligent lady with a college degree that swore that the moon landings were faked. I don't know how they work, but I have felt better despite my skepticism.
Im 15 with MAJORLY bad back pain and knee pain AND pain in my neck, wrist, and elbows.
ILL DEFENTLY GIVE IT A TRY!

you spelt avoid wrong so I'm not going to take your advice
All I know is that it works.... My Mother's high blood sugar is better.... my Father allergies is gone even the stiffness of his leg is better (walks better too). The color of my face looks good.... also the puffiness around my eyes seem to have disappear. My strength as been better these days and my joints haven't been bothering me... beside I fall asleep fast, soundly like a baby and wake up completely refresh. Who can argue with that? Besides they work for me so I'll continue to spread the information on these wonderful detox patches to friends, family and just complete strangers.... I don't mind that other people think negative about it.
I'm so glad posts like these exist. It confirms my belief that there are alot of sheep left in the world! Talk about the FDA. Please, don't get me started! I haven't tried the foot pads yet. I have had multiple "foot bath" detoxes done, with varying results. I believe in osmosis (Bio 101), and I understand reflexology, so I would tend to "assume" (I hate that word) that these would work. Thanks to all the Doctors that are giving scientific evidence. I would SOOOO love to be able to have access to a lab (for free of course) to test the foot pads and other ideas that I have formulated due to all the alternative therapies I have used. Oh well, maybe in another life! LOL Success to all of those that try alternative therapies and take responsibility for their health.
Don't knock them until you try them! The resaon HEAVY METALS are called HEAVY is because they are HEAVY. Heavy Metals drop to the lowest point, which are your feet. Have you ever been by someone that took off there shoes and their feet smelled? Of course and do! But do you know why? It is because they have toxins and perhaps even heavy metals. Your feet have more nerve ending then anywhere in the body. Plus all your reflex points are in your feet. Receive 24 hours reflexology treatment. Reflexology is an ancient healing art, using a specialized version of compression and touch that focuses on the feet. Reflex points in the feet reflect the entire body, and stimulating these reflex points promotes equilibrium in the corresponding area of the body.
one word: money
The person who stated that skin doesn't have the ability to 'excrete toxins' is ill informed... the skin both excretes AND absorbs toxins. The liver was designed to do this Job primarily... but the pollutants in our everyday environment is making it's job a little too hard to do alone anymore... lol. Anyways! My Husband and I started using these pads... we're in our early 50s... but we eat right... excercise... kinda the health buff types to start with.... but I still have some health issues (primarily skin problems) that I feel are due to something not quite right internally. After the first night's use our Pads were really nasty!... my Husband's were worse than mine however... I think due to the fact I'm on a DETOX pill program and have been doing full body detox baths. After our second night of use the pads only had a small amount of brown toxins on them. Nothing changed either! We went to bed at the same time.. got up at the same time... temperature in room was the same both nights. This has NOTHING to do with sweat folks!... put a clean pad on the back of your knee (which sweats profusely!) and you'll see nothing happens. Do we feel better? Not really because we already feel pretty good... but we want to KEEP things that way so that's another reason WHY we tried these and will continue using them!
Hi there. I have not tried these but have considered it. I did do a colon cleanse once and was absolutely shocked at the way my skin broke out in massive pimples. I talked to my doctor and told her what I was doing. She said that she never recommends a colon cleanse as a treatment or remedy but that its certainly not a bad thing. She also said that the pimples I was seeing (my face was covered and I have had flawless skin since 20 years old) was the result of my body releasing toxins. Apparently, during a colon cleanse, the toxins don't just go out of .... well.... you know. Anyway, I am wondering if maybe, the skin on the feet may also be able to release toxins. OH.. when I was a child, I had the WORST plantars warts. NASTY! My mom took me to a couple of doctors and both of them stuck the wart with a needle - yes - a needle into a hard, crusty wart on the bottom of the foot!!!!! I guess this was suppose to open it up so that the BURNING would get the root. Well, it never went away. One day I stopped into the health food store for some vitamins (never had used any holistic medicine - I was only 17) and asked what they had for warts. They had 5 small, blue, glass bottles. The lady said there were a number of causes of warts, so they had a number of products. I asked "which do I use". She said "its hit or miss - I really don't know. Just try one and if it doesn't work, try another." The bottles were only 2.99 so I didn't think it was a big deal. Inside were sugar tablets that actually tasted pretty good, so I didn't mind taking them... they were like little balls of sugar. Anyway, after about 2 weeks the wart was gone and it never came back. It has been almost 19 years. I was SHOCKED! I AT LEAST expected to try all five... and then ... more than likely ... no results. So, maybe natural, holistic stuff isn't total crap. I dunno... all I know is, that I have tried one holistic thing and it worked and I have detoxed a bit through my skin..... The patches may or may not work. I might try some IF and only if I can get a good deal... that way if they don't work, I am not out much and I have another experience in the holistic category.
This is my opinion.
People claim 'Pour water on the patch and it turns brown.'Conclusion : Hoax, scam for your money, Run for your life...
Well you should research deeper before jumping into conclusions. The patch is SUPPOSED to turn brown when in contact with moisture.Only through research will it be known - what impurities in the water causes brown discoloration of the patches- what percentage of these impurities result in what extent of brown discoloration- etcetera.....
Foot patches when applied need a transport medium -> 'sweat'The patches also contain Dextrin which absorbs moisture -> 'sweat'Isolated with the adhesive sheet and in contact with skin, the patch absorbs sweat through the skin pores. Concurrently, the natural ingredients when in contact with our body through the skin pores stimulate the lymph system. When the lymph system works more efficiently, toxins are moved from your blood and organs through the lymph system and then out from the body's elimination channels.
The key point here is 'STIMULATE OUR LYMPH SYSTEM TO DETOX OUR BODY MORE EFFICIENTLY' and not to be mislead by the claim that Detox foot patches will'DETOX OUR BODY BY FULLY ABSORBING TOXINS THROUGH OUR FEET'.
There is also some amount of transfer to the patch as shown by lab test of used patches.
'Lab reports show lead, arsenic, mercury and also pthlalates which are plastic by-products'
I choose not to be a non-believer.
First, telling the person to try the pads is SUBJECTIVE evidence not OBJECTIVE. They may have worked for you but remember the placebo affect is 40-60% effective.
Second, the burden of proof lies on the new product not the skeptic. Give us some links to some peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Lastly, I'm skeptical of the mastercleanse diet. The nutritionists I've read recommend a shorter more typical fast.
Wow! People are very passionate about their foot detox pads.
Anyone remember the PET ROCK !!!
I'm trying it don't know if it works or not. Mine was black too not brown and some stuck to my foot. Does anyone know is it ok to put on both feet at one time.

Was curious to see what these are all about so I bought mine from healthmarvelsdetoxpatch.com. They seem to be the cheapest out there.
Used them before going to bed. I don't know about toxins and that gooey stuff but they do make me feel so much better in the morning! Also noticed that it works wonders when coming down with a fever or a cold. Pretty convenient and super cheap! In my opinion, I think these are worth it.
Foot pads works. My aunti got cured by this because she was having a diabetis. She couldn't find any cure for her diabetic until she tried using foot pads. That's all shes taking now and doesn't need any more medication. visit www.removealltoxins.com/pads
I've heard mixed reviews ont heses pads but its great to read the discussion here.
Please.................. God forbid a Natural Product Worked!!! Meanwhile, thousands of People are line up at the Pharmacies with approved prescriptions from the FDA, handed out to patients by Doctor's that write out presciptions like they were store coupons!! Doctor's go to college for years so they can effectively write out thousands of prescriptions for any thing from a stuffy nose to an ingrown toenail!! People are slowly being killed by these prescriptions and the most important matter here is if natural products can detoxify the body from the FDA approved toxins that are in our bodies!!!!!
I am 65 years old, and had a artificial heart valve installed in me 7 years ago. Since then my left ankle would swell up, and the doctors said it was because of the heart not pumping right. I started to wear these detox footpads about a month ago. It took about 4 weeks, but now my left ankle does not swell up any more. Call me nuts, call me goofy, but all I can say is since wearing these detox pads, the swelling is completely gone. Maby something else did it, but if I did I have no idea what it was. I have absolutely no idea of what they do or how they work, but I do not care. I think they are great, and I also feel much better, like when I wake up. Blue Steel. Herbert Keller
Guess what Common Sense? You're an IDIOT!
As with ALL scams there will be comments posted by the scammers about how wonderful the "product" is. You will also see the usual "Have you tried them?" ploy implying that if you have not you can't possibly say it's a scam.
It's pretty disappointing to see that BBC America is STILL advertising this scam, but I guess money talks.
If you are like me and have just have to try them to make sure they work/don't work try Power Purify. They let you try a months supply for $6.95. So far I've had much better results then I ever expected.
I tried the foot patches, and trhey worked great!
After two weeks, they stopped changing colors, indicating that I was successfully detoxified.
However I continued to use them for another week, and woke up one morning to find my feet missing, the patches were at ankle level, having dissolved my feet and working their way up my legs.
Yes they work, but be careful!
If these patches truely work due to reflexology, then why do they only cover part of the foot? Why do they leave out critical organs? If the darkness is caused by toxins, whydo they turn dark when pure distilled water is poured on them? If real doctors are testing them and posting here, why do that not properly identify themselves by telling where they went to school or providing information on their medical license?
Anyone can post anything here, that does not make it true.
Wear warm socks, and the same toxins will be sweated from your feet, only from the whole foot, not just the part the patch covers.
As for the guy that slept in a 65 degree house with only a sheet... Do you really expect us to believe that? Can you prove you didn't sweat? My feet sweat all the time, even when cold. I think that is true for most people.
does anyone remember the old "food pyramid"? how can carbs and starches be bad for you? yeah, that's what we all said 10 + years ago. now that the research has been done and proven we have a different understanding. point being- all you nay sayers don't really know, your just biased and unwilling to try something new or different.
Has anyone tried the Body Relief detox foot pads? How do they compare with the other brands out there? Any help here would be most appreciated. Thanks.
They are a scam. Toxins can not be drawn out of your feet, skin is actually pretty waterproof, this is why you don't get fatter in the rain. They turn dark when they become moist from sweat from feet, even a tiny amount of sweat will do this. If you put the pads in distilled pure water, they will still turn dark.
It's a fairly known fact that you can contract parasites by walking barefoot on the ground.
But even if these foot pads worked, I would be HIGHLY suspicious of what's in them, given that there are many types of herbs and herb cocktails that can induce feelings of well-being. Slap a nicotine patch on you and see for yourself.
I didn't read all the posts but what I have read is the people who tried them seemed to like them. The people who didn't say they don't work. I can understand being a sceptic, but at least give the people a chance. I am not a person who believes everything that I read. I try to look into something as much as possible before I make a decision. As far as the FDA, don't look for their approvial before you believe what is right or wrong. FDA is just a bunch of paid off idiots who get money from your drug companies and large corps. They won't approve anything that don't make their kick back companies any money. Why do they approve so many harmful drugs? Do the research for your self and make your own opinion, not from me. I would like to see some results from somebody having one of the pads they used. Maybe in one the posts, they did. I just didn't read them all. I would like somebody to post what brand they use and what results they had. I saw the Kinoki ad and was interested in them. But I did read a post saying they had problems with them. That was a while ago and wondered if things got better. Just thought that I would add my 2 cents.
Mm.. Im a little skeptical as well.. But, I just got some of these foot pads to do a test before I bash! Obviously, anything water will turn somethings color.. That has nothing to do with it not working? And anyway, if it was the sweat turning it colors, why would you sweat more in the beginning and less in the end? They obviously start to get less and less brown the longer you use them. If it was sweat, you'd think it would be the same every night, requardless? Anyway..that has no point.. Im trying them tonight, And my feet are numb! Something is going on.. Not sure what, but they do make my feet feel funny.! We shall see!
Why don't people jump on the backs of MEDICAL DOCTORS and REGISTERED NURSES and everyone else with their drug company-financed MEDICAL DEGREES when they costantly endorse medications that can cause every side effect in the world including death?
If only those naysayers were as tough on DRUG companies as they are with alternative medicine ...
I used them for the first time. I'm not sure if they work or not but it was worth a try. My glands under one of my arms are so swollen that it hurts. I have been having terrible pain on the bottom of one of my feet for weeks so much so it hurts at times to walk on it. I thought maybe I stepped on something or got glass or something in it. Went to the doctor and they even x-rayed it and couldn't explain. I saw the pads at the store and decided to try them. When I got up I kept smelling BBQ like I spilled some sauce on my clothes though I never ate anything like that. After the first night so far the foot feels a bit better. I placed one under my arm as well. The pads were greasy when I took them off and smelled very strongly exactly like BBQ sauce. Has anyone else gotten that smell? Is it a reaction with the herbs? As I rarely eat anything with BBQ as I'm not the biggest fan of it. My underarm also feels quite a bit better too. I know even if my feet don't sweat normally when you seal skin in something it will sweat (hence the reason for those plastic suits that make you sweat). The greasy feel to the pad was what mystified me too. Wouldn't it be nice if it pulled out fat from the blood stream as my cholestrol is extremely high. Sure hope this really does detox the body a bit in some way. I'll post more as I go along.
I think they are really work...some of them...i guess
Hmmm, where to begin with all of this. First of all, I guess I don't blame you for being a sceptic as I used to be as well. The medical community has had far too much credit tho for what people 'believe' is science. I have spent a year in the past when I started researching all of the alternative things only to discover 'for myself' that almost all STUDIES are a hoax. They are funded by the drug companies or other sources that expect a certain outcome. If you do the research, MOST of it is tainted by someone who WANTS a certain outcome is basically paying to have it endorsed by a 'study' so has anyone ever checked on these people? no. Sadly no. Have you ever read what's in drugs and what they can actually DO to you? do you understand that many of the coatings are known carcenogenic ingredients? why aren't you touting 'QUACKERY' where it truly belongs? just because we've become the frogs in the pots and we accept whatever comes our way, doesn't make it right.
Before you 'claim' an opinion, shouldn't YOU do your homework as it only tends to make people look foolish when they make claims like you and some of the others are doing. Have you taken any of the footpads in for testing? you should do that before you can make these kinds of statements as many people have taken them in and found exactly what they said above; chemicals, metals, etc.
The same is true for the footbaths. I've got lots of documentation on the footbaths which I now happen to own as well. If it is just chemical reaction, explain how one does one change the color of the water from person to persona and in my case, from disease to disease? there is too much science that points to the vailidity for this ...sorry.
The master cleanse. Yes, this is good and I have also done this. It should be noted tho that if someone is diebetic or insulin resistant, they should NOT be doing this. Also, that is good for some cleansing but it doesn't remove the lifetime of toxins like some of the other things do. Instead, it's better to approach some of these things together so that you maximize the results.
For people that have serious diseases, yes, it's good to put good things into your body as this only makes sense BUT does not rid your body of the accumulation of a lifetime of toxicity... only these kinds of things do. Instead of being antagonistic, let's work together for the good of health and do what's in people's best interest.
Good things in
Toxins out....
Be well and in the best interest of good and renewed health, let's work together.
For those who don't believe, no problem, let them take the toxic drugs,,, but then dont' complain with the outcome of that either.
I would like to add my opinion if that's okay. The people on here who knock holistic Chinese remedies would be wise to remember that this ancient practice has been developed over six thousand of years. It would also be prudent to remember “civilised western man” was running around in lion cloths less than one thousand years ago. Western practitioners are trained to cure illnesses, not prevent them. Why? The reason is simple: pharmaceutical companies make a fortune from "curing" illnesses. Now, the FDA may not approve foot pads, stevia and other ancient remedies but they approve aspartame. I wonder why this might be. Hmmmmmmmmmm I really can’t figure it out. To quote a former Commissioner of the FDA, Dr. Herbert Ley. “The thing that bugs me is that people think the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is protecting them -- it isn't. What the FDA is doing and what the public thinks it’s doing are as different as night and day."I was ill least year, really ill. I had been working as a TEFL teacher last year in an industrial city and collapsed when I returned to the UK. I then became very ill, picking up every infection, suffering from depression and anxiety and was constantly tired, irritable, foggy headed and moody. I gained 2 stone in weight. I went to the good old NHS GP’s again and again but they just found me annoying and treated me as a hypochondriac. A month ago someone suggested I undertake infrared sauna therapy. The results were astounding. A huge percentage of the metals that were clogging up my body were removed. However, the treatment was expensive and I could only do a few sessions. My infrared therapist suggested I try infrared foot pads as an alternative to the infrared sauna. I tried them for the first time last night. This morning I woke at 7 am and sprang out of bed. I even went for a short jog! Normally it takes me an hour to force myself out of bed and I only genuinely wake up after my lunch time nap. Today I am looking forward to returning home for lunch and I might do a spot of gardening instead of diving under the duvet. I don’t care what the skeptics say. I have noticed a change in my head overnight and pleasant tingling sensations inside my body. Why don’t the skeptics open their minds a bit, remember that they were running around in loin cloths when the foot pad was invented and stop slating something they know nothing about.
Are you people so stupid as not to realize you're actually buying into a huge scam and making charlatans rich? Perhaps I'll come up with something like nose inserters to draw out the negative brain energy and improve intelligence and mood. Makes just as much sense.
Interesting discussion: The people who have the least experience with the pads are the most certain that they do not work. Such is often the way of change. I have tried a brand of detox pads which are FDA approved. I'll say that again: I have tried a brand of detox pads which are FDA approved. Takara is the brand name. I've tried these on my feet for several nights, with the usual odiferous browny-green goo resulting in the morning. I've also tried then on the back of my neck, to relieve a headache overnight. the following morning my headache was much reduced, but there was none of the goo present. I have noticed that using these pads results in surprisingly deep sleep. I have also noticed that in the morning the pad sticks to my feet with a strong adhesive action, stronger than the adhesive patches themselves. Something is being drawn out of my body (neither tourmeline nor bamboo vinegar have this adhesive quality). It reminds me of beef plasma, a strong adhesive agent, which I used to work with as a food additive on a fishing boat which manufactured surimi. It certainly did not come from the pad itself.
Initial conclusions: The pads do something beneficial, and the placement of the pads on the feet (instead of elsewhere on the body) is important to how they work. Likewise they draw something out of the body. I have not had my used pads lab tested, and probably won't bother. On the days after I have used them, I have felt more energy and less fatigue. I will re-order; I would use them for the sleep benefits alone, but they appear to be doing more than that.
A word to all of you who are convinced that this is nothing but quackery: Remember that only 25 years ago, it was still believed that diet had little to do with the state of one's health. 35 years ago the benefits of aerobic exercise were largely unknown and undocumented. Vitamin C was the "quackery" of 40 years ago. That's within my lifetime. I am well enough educated to know that the current state of medical knowledge doesn't mean as much as we often think it does. Medical science knows what it knows, but it changes its mind over time--often after resisting change for a very ling time.
I will repeat again: The brand of foot pads I have used are FDA approved. This means that the FDA learned something in the process (a remarkably long and expensive process at that): These things do actually work. At least this brand does. So for all of you who have written in to say that this approach could not possibly have any validity at all, two words: You're wrong.
For the people who think this is a scam, can you plase explain how after a while the pads stop being black? This pretty much proves your theory of adding sweat or water to make them look black. I have tried these, and I did feel different. My feet tend to get really hot and red randomly, before I tried this. The next morning the pads were dark black, and my feet did hurt a little. Not sure what that was about.
I was checking this out because one of my patients told me about it. First of all, I would ignore any of the posts from "doctors" who can't even spell. You don't have to be a genius to be a doctor, but you do have to graduate 3rd grade. Second, it is untrue that allopathic doctors (Western medicine) have no interest in non-pharmaceutical options. Studies have been done on non-traditional methods, unfortunately, many of the claims made by herbal or alternative options are not borne out in placebo controlled studies. This brings me to my third point. On average, a placebo effect can account for up to 30% of a claimed effect. In other words, 1 out of 3 people will feel better after getting a "dummy" pill. After reading about foot detoxification, my impression is that it is unlikely to support the claims that it makes. My guess is that the pads interact with body moisture and creates a substance on the pads. Seeing the substance on the pads in turn, makes one believe that "toxins" have been drawn out which creates a placebo effect of feeling better. Being a hepatologist, I can say that the liver is extremely efficient at detoxifying the body. If things like this worked, it would be in the New England Journal of Medicine. My advice would echo that of some of the earlier posts which recommend good nutrition, exercise and preventative health care with your doctor. If you want to spend $20 to try it out, go for it. You probably spend more than that in a week at Starbucks anyway. But I wouldn't expect any health benefits from it.
I just purchased the foot pads. I am a little skeptical but am going to give it a shot. I will write back to let you know results
i just tried them for the first time last night. I wake up at 6 am every morning, and usually feel exhausted and groggy. this morning i actually woke up with more energy, and didn't feel tired at all during the day. these things work, and i plan to use them more often.
There are two kinds of people in this world, those who read a book and believe everything they read relying on top scientist and doctors to tell them what's good for them (which is why America has one of the sickest population in the developed world) and there are those who actually try something no matter how ridicilous it may sound (the human body is still a mystery to so called western science and all it's fancy trappings) and become a believer! People in the east have been using such natural cures for thousands of years and all I had to do to turn into a believer is to simply try it for myself and to also look at the millions of Japanese who live a quality of life and health that is unknown to the average American.
I have used these patches for 1 month now, and they are wonderful, I wake up feeling refreshed and I have more energy, and less stress/tension. There is something in them that helps restore some balance whilst eliminating toxins from the body. I highly recommend them!
As an organic chemist, i can truthfully say that you are right on the money. The liver is primarily responsible to removal of these toxins, not some sticker on your foot.
Next it would be nice to hear someone talk about the belly flattener that supposedly removes "plaque stuck to the inside of your intestines"....more crap.
I have been using the foot pads for about 4 months now. The first time I used them the smell in the morning over powered the bed room. The goo leaked out of the pad and onto my socks. I kept using them, one on each foot every night. The reason I kept using them is that the swelling in my arm which is caused from lymphnode removel due to breast cancer went down after 3 nights of use. Then I learned later that the pads work through the lyphnodes. So, to me this proves they work. Also, the smell and the amount of goo is getting less and less. I do feel more refreshed in the morning and have more energy. I know the pads will take a long time to completely rid my body of toxins, like radiation and cemotherapy. Oh yea, my doctor told me to hold my arm up over my head to reduce the swelling in my arm. Okay doc sure. THE PADS WORK.
.
I see the last comment posted was 2 months ago, but if anyone is still reading I will post my 2 cents. It is interesting that a few have claimed to either be doctors or lab techs who have actually done research on these foot pads and have claimed to find lead, copper, mercury, arsenic, etc. First, it is pretty suspect as they tend to say the exact same things. Sounds like a rehearsed speech. Second, my husband and I own a fire investigation company and work regularly with labs to process and analyze evidence. Neither of us are doctors or lab techs. Though, the 3 labs we use in the US are highly respected in forensics of all types. Since I am typically a skeptic, but also love to try new things, we sent 10 of these used pads to have them analyzed, at our own cost. My husband, my sister and brother-in-law and I all used the pads (which did turn brown and ugly by morning) and sent the pads in a safety sealed package to the lab to have all the ingredients named. Not a single one contained arsenic, mercury, lead, copper, etc. I also have a lab report on the findings (this lab is also often used by the FBI and government for forensic testing). The resulting brown color and odor are from the mixing of the vinegar and herbs in the pads. Your foot does not need to be noticeably wet to be sweating. Nearly every inch of EVERYBODYS body sweats continuously. You do not notice it because it is not in drenching amounts. The moisture from yuor body wets the pad and the ingredients react. These are a scam - and I was disappointed because I am kind of into fads. They are causing placebo effects - which, if this makes you feel better, by all means keep doing it. But, what they claim to do is not true.
Well, I signed up for Kinoki Foot Pads and not only that, the lifetime supply for an extra fee. I really felt no better but mentally I got a lift.
However, I received only two packets from this company and no one will discuss this with me. From Kinoki that is. I send emails and phone them, yes, yes, they are coming they say but no see. Guess I could buy tourmoline and vinigars myself and do a soak but now I really don't care anymore. A company that promises one thing and does not deliver doesn't instill confidence in me.
mr. beaker's mommy rules and so does mr. beaker. OMG stop yelling.
I too have just purchased the pads. I couldn't sleep very well last night, I noticed strange tingling feelings in my feet. And like everyone else the pad was brown and looked like it was filled with something odd. It smelled but of the smell the patch had when I opened it. I also noticed that the patch had small brown particles in it before I attached it to my foot. I am sure that well yes you can put water on it and it will turn brown over night like others have said. But have you also thought that maybe the reason for it turning discolored is do to the fact of all the harsh chemicals in our water today??? Seriously!!! I cant say anything special has happened from my use of them for I am only on day one. I will use them all and decided at the end how I feel about it. But I will not just use these foot pads. We all know that our bodies have suffered for a while with toxins in us...I suffer from constipation and I plan on taking a cleansing product to help regulate my bowel movements and then an internal detox solution to ensure I am releasing as many serious Toxin out of my body. If you choose to do the foot patches more power to you. But don't just assume they are going to detox your body completely. our body need to be-able to release the toxins stored in our organs internally the good ole fashion way...With proper flushing in our bowels. So make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating the right foods, and getting some kind of exercise everyday even if just a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes. I know I am and hopefully my body will start to flow correctly again. If you are not sure of the patches dont use them almost everyone takes a chance on something everyday...Its up to you it's your money!!!
I don't know about the foot patches, but the Detox machines are real and do work. It's not too good to be true if you get the right education about it. If you can scientifically prove that the detoxfoot bath machine is a scam then I will take my hat off for you, but for now, don't go around telling people it's a scam without any evident proof from a lab. The detox machines do not claim to HEAL or CURE diseases, they promote a healthy life and balance your PH levels using negative and positive polarity. You have no clue what you are talking about.
I ordered the pads, and I am waiting patiently for them. The Eastern folk look younger, live longer, and are much healthier than we are....I have been using alternative remedies for three years now. I do not trust the FDA, and I too have read Kevin Ttudeau, and believe that we indeed need to take our health into our own hands. Nothing negative on this site will keep me from trying something I believe will work!!!!!!
Dr. Mitch Brown??? Are you sure you are a doctor because you sure can't spell. I would personally never go to a doctor who isn't even intelligent enough to spell his own English language.
Here is my story, you can believe me or think me a "quack" it makes no difference to me personally. I am in my late 20's and have been in a great deal of pain for 14 years or so. For the first 5(ish) I saw doctor after doctor, nobody could find anything wrong with me to be causing so much pain. I had been told on several occassions "this is it....this medication will fix it". They were doctors, of course I had complete faith in this (I tend to think at least one of those was a sugar pill or something, I think they thought it was all in my head). None of it ever made any difference, the pain continued to get worse, and I was getting sicker and had difficulty keeping food down. It had come to the point that something had to be done, I had surgery to remove my galbladder and appendix and still had problems. I was better, and was told I was adjusting to not having my galbladder. Again I was becoming worse and worse, finally they decided I had an auto-immune disease, no cure, the only thing to do was take 6500+ mg of meds everyday-for the rest of my life. However it would not even begin to work-if it would- for at least a month. When I asked about long term side effects the doc told me there were sure to be some (because any meds will, especially taken long term) but it is new, so he could not tell me what all of them could be. I was unwilling to accept this, if modern medicine could not help I would find some way to heal myself. I have tried many things, began eating organic as much as possible 3 or 4 years ago, along with probiotics and other supplements. This helped, and slowly but surely I have been feeling better. I tried colon cleanses, but these made me worse, other swear by it, I'm not knocking it, for me it is not the way to go. Some of the other things I tried helped some did not. Then about 8 months ago I was told I had been misdiagnosed, or in recession (however I was still in a great deal of pain, so I don't believe this) Now to the point (I appologize this is so long, and probably full of grammer and spelling mistakes) I decided to try the foot patches about 6 months ago, and I like them. I guess some had trouble sleeping the first few nights, I never had this problem. It was not an overnight miracle cure, but at that point my improvement had plateaued, and since then I have been getting better, still slowly but surely, day by day, but faster than ever before. I feel better now than I can remember ever feeling.
I do NOT belive the foot patches are a cure all end all. Doctors and medicine are important. I am glad to have them around if I am ever injured, pregnant, or have a nasty disease. The same goes for "modern" medicine, there are certainly times when it is appropriate, but I do not feel that the answer to all problems lie in an FDA approved medication. I do not feel that the foot patches are the only thing that has helped me. Being aware of what I put in my body has done just as much and probably more on my road to healing. (This includes household and personal care products as well, not just what I eat and drink). However since using the patches I have seen a marked improvement in concentration, a huge decrease in pain and increase in my energy levels from 8 months ago. Call it wishfull thinking, or being naive, but I refuse to believe the medical professionals when they say that some people just have to accept and live with being sick and in pain. That is not the life we are meant to live. Nor do I believe that doctors know everything, and the good ones will admit it, and keep an open mind.
If you are curious if they can help you I would suggest giving them a try, they are inexpensive (the meds I was prescribed were over $350 a month), and have not seemed to have had any adverse effects to either me or the many people who have responded to this site before me. If you are concerned about any of the ingredients I would suggest you bring a list of the ingredients of the patches you want to try to your doctor and ask if any of them would be harmful when in contact with your skin. If it helps you then that is great, especially if you have chronic problems, even the smallest improvement can make a huge difference in your life. And if not, then you really are not out all that much money, be honest with yourself, haven't most of you blown at least $20 on things you did not really need in the past week?
I hope this has helped some of you
They work for me!
It's amazing what they can trick ignorant people into buying these days.
Oh, what am I saying?! Of course the people writing infomercials know more about the human body than a trained, educated doctor!
These foot-detoxification pads are just the latest scam to come down the pike. They are nothing but pure quackery which serves to seperate mis-informed people from their finances. If you want to de-toxify you body a simple one time oral Fleet Enema solution which is available at the local drugstore for $5 will do far more to clean your body in one day than these quack-pads will do in a whole year.
I finally bought some detox foot pads - from www.healthpads.com. Hard decision because they all say different things about quality of ingredients. I went with these, and after only a couple of nights using them I feel really energized. Placebo effect? Maybe, who knows. I just know I love how I feel. I'm able to squeeze in more work time in the day, and able to get myself to the gym each afternoon. I feel more flexible and less achy after working out now. They won't cure cancer I'm sure, but they are DEFINITELY worth trying! The price is nothing for the health results you'll get!
I was pretty skeptical about the foot pads...I mean REALLY!...But a friend swore by them so I thought I'd try them.
I don't know if there was any detoxifying effect, but in a period of about 1 month, I lost that stubborn 18 lbs. that I gained while pregnant and haven't been able to lose. I haven't been this svelt since college. Currently, I use the detox pads once a week as described on the packaging for maintenance, and haven't gained any of the weight back.
One thing must be considered: Everyone is different. Each person will respond to detox agents differently. Perhaps the accumulation of certain chemical agents I have ingested over a lifetime caused my body to retain that extra 18 lbs. and this particular combination was what was needed to allow the weight loss to occur.
I really have no scientific basis to claim the success of this product. However, I have tried every diet in creation to try to lose the extra weight without success. Clearly, the foot pads have made a difference.
All right. I got my patches in the mail. The box was torn up a bit, but otherwise seemed in good condition. Later that night before bed, I read the directions. It said to "Place the patch on the balls ", and the I thought this was odd, but later I found that my directions were torn and I should have read, "Place the patch on the balls of my feet!"
Well, let me tell you what happened anyway. I started talking higher, almost immediately. I did not have to wait until morning. Although, when morning came along I was perplexed as to how I was going to get the pad that was TAPED to my , uh... jewels, how was I going to get that off. I did noticed a color change to my jewels but did not find anything new in the pad but a bunch of hair.
It was then I realized that these things must grow hair! So the next night I went to sleep with a patch on my head. I woke up in the morning expecting to find more hair, but all I found was fool looking back at me in the mirror.
I hope you are better at reading instructions than I am. And as long as there is something absurd with a hint of fact, don't automatically hope it to become reality. It is not what dreams are made of. (I think the patch made me smarter!) Peace Out, Gary Ruff, The Compusician
i purchased the foot pads and am willing to at least try them before i knock them
you are a serious footsore dumbass if you read all the way down to here
unless you use these things, then do a lab test YOURSELF with a control sample -you will never really know, think happy thoughts and detox your brain
I have ordered through www.purewaterabode.com and was very pleased with their selection, prices, information and customer service. I haven't found better anywhere and will continue to be a faithful customer.
What I would like to see if some verifiable proof of these supposed tests. How about posting the test results from the pads, comparing clean new and used dirty, as well as who did the test, which lab and the info about that lab, so anyone could actually verify if it is in fact legitimate.
If these things are real, if they actually do something that is verifiable then why hide it? For myself, if it was me selling these, I would be running tests at several different legitimate labs and plastering the results on billboards from coast to coast as well as all over the web, with 100% disclosure and a way for anyone to verify both those results and the lab that ran the tests.
As they say the proof is in the pudding, so why not put it on the table and let everyone have at it, if it's valid such a thing could only increase sales. Or do you think I am wrong?

I have been using foot pouches and selling them for 3 years and I and my clients have had nothing but fantastic results. You have made some statements as "facts" that are incorrect. With regards to how they work, they are placed on the bottom of your feet to access reflexology points. This is correct. But by accessing these points, they are able to access and assist in detoxing organs and tissues by stimulating your lymph system. When your lymph system works properly, toxins are moved from your blood and organs into your lymph system, then moved from there into the body's elimination channels. Some toxins may be pulled from your feet into the pouches but this would be a small amount. I would hope that you had been mislead in your understanding of how the pouches work and my explanation will encourage you to research into this deeper and correct the negative connotation your article is creating. Feel free to contact me if you would like a more indepth description of how the pouches work. Thank you.
