First Steps

I have been asked a few times for the first steps so here is a hub with screen shots of the first steps to creating a hubpage. This assumes you have already created a hubpages account.

NOTE: I am not showing the full screenshot to reduce downloading..

to Log In click My Account

.

..

..

I am assuming you have not created a hub yet or you wish to create another hub so

click on Create a New Hub Now

In the middle of the Manage page you will see tab options

so to create a new hub

Pick a title

Pick a title and web address - they can both be the same for now since you can change the title anytime you wish. ..PRESS CONTINUE BUTTON..

Add some content - e.g. test

The next page opens in Edit Mode, to see this working click on Edit the first text capsule, add the word Test, click Save and you will see Test in the box.

Now you can press DONE EDITING and come back and finish it later or PUBLISH NOW if you are ready or PREVIEW to see how it looks.

The Text Capsule in edit Mode

Add More Stuff

You can come back anytime to a hub and add more content by clicking on the module you want in the Add More Stuff box on the right of the page.

To Add More content

Ask People How did you do That..

.

..if you want to know how I did something you see on my hubpages or any others just ask.. here's my Profile or my email via hubpages

TIP

to get space between modules add a text box and just enter full stop or period

.

..

or a line

thanks Jimmy, Hubpages are very user friendly so perhaps it is good for Newbies to get past all the buttons, switches and options when you first log-in and focus on getting their first hubpage up.

Thanks Iðunn - I did it this way since I was asked How a few times and also when I see something new I sign up to get my preferred screenname and then promise to come back later and work on it. I really don't want to read Help I just want to get it working.

Somebody said ..computers do what you tell them to do not what you want them to do... :-)

Txt box with photo link

Coral

http://hubpages.com/u/61320_50.jpg

ok so create text box

copy the link you want ctrl +c

paste it in ctrl +v

now when you click it in the text box the link button on nav menu in the txt box will become operational... now, in theory you will be able to edit the link - target and title

Ciao
