English School Franchise

There is no denying the fact that English is becoming the major language, especially in businesses - on land or internet based. Knowing and becoming fluent in English is definitely an advantage to any business owned by a foreigner. Because of this, there are a lot of ESL (English as a Second Language) schools popping up all over the world, be it in brick-and-mortar schools, online schools, or private tutoring in cafe's.

Franchise Benefits

Franchising is a kind of business wherein you buy a business that is owned by another person, which gives you the license to market the business under their trademark. Now, because the ESL business is a lucrative industry, many schools are now franchising their business to interested prospects, either local or international.

Buying a franchised English school is a great opportunity because it is less risky than going solo without the knowhow. The franchised English school will operate using the same modules and courses that were thoroughly researched, developed, and already a proven structure. It also gives the franchisee the benefit of knowing that the business has worked in a different place and it will work in his location, too, thus, it is already a proven business.

The franchisee has the added benefit that the franchisor will provide support with advertising and administrative errands handled by the head office. The franchisor will in finding the right location for the English school (the franchisor having researched about the feasibility in a certain country and a certain location) as well as provide ongoing support and counseling where needed. The franchisor will also provide the franchisee all the necessary materials and information such as the courses and ESL system that the franchisee will need to implement. The franchisee is also guaranteed that a representative of the franchisor or even the franchisor himself will be present when the new English school is launched.

I liked your article. Been working in and around Korea and Japan for the past 7 years. But I have only seen several foreign legally run English academies. It is possible and the rewards are high, however, the paperwork can be quite frustrating to have it legal. I have many other articles relating to ESL teaching on my website. www.esldaily.org

Yeh, I agree.. the paperwork can be horrendous. That's why it's worth it to go with a franchise school that knows what they are doing. Someone that's been around for a while and has a good reputation at the visa office.
