When I tried Synthasite, I thought it was a bit difficult to use than the others but I loved that it was drag and drop and I could add a host of different templates available. I could also edit my graphics using online image editor, Picnik so that your pics looked their best on your site.

If you have a Google Account you will be able to use this free service to create great looking free websites that you can use to promote your products, services or a content website that hosts Adsense ads.

Google Page Creator has a simple drag and drop interface and its very simple to use. You can also choose from a host of differnet templates and a 4 different layout formats and add Google gadgets to your page.

Publishing is easy and you will get the domain format http://name.googlepages.com. The downside, to my knowledge, is that the default is set to whatever your google account name is but you can edit this in the settings and it looks like you can only have one site with unlimited pages.

Free website builders like the ones above make it easier for persons without technical skills to be able to put up a website. This makes the potential for you to make money online a whole lot easier.

However having a free domain has its disadvantages when doing business online.

• It looks unprofessional.
• Your visitors find it hard to remember.
• The host is the one who's being branded.
