Free Online Dating Sites

Well that's the million dollar question... well not really, but hey it's still a question worth asking and one that I'm going to try and answer!

Maybe I should set the story up so that you can understand where I’m coming from and why I even care about this sort of stuff. Ok, first of all I live in Los Angeles, West Hollywood to be exact. But in actual fact I grew up in Sydney, Australia. Same old story. I wanted to make it big, so yeah, I save up my money, fulfilled the cleche and moved to Hollywood. The Land of Dreams. So what’s that got to do with Free Online Dating Sites?? Well, if you can be a little more patient, I’ll get to that part of the story!

Everyone here in LA seems to be so open. About relationships, about sex and all the rest. I grew up kind of shy (at least socially). Australia is pretty different, and I just wasn’t that confident back home anyways. I’d heard that it was easy to pickup in LA, but when I got here, well, let’s just say I had some bad experiences.

I stopped going out, still convinced that Online Dating was for creeps and weirdos I refused to dive in. Instead I got stuck into a copy of Neil Strauss’s “The Game” – like the rest of the entire male population. Sounded good, I tried Double Your Dating and all that stuff. I started to pickup at least, but, at the end of the day I didn’t even like the girls I was taking home. “Yeah, what’s wrong with that?”, I hear you ask? Well to be honest I wanted a girlfriend. But I couldn’t find too many decent girls in the bars and clubs of L.A. Big surprise? I think not!! AndI really didn't think that free online dating sites would be the answer.

So, a broke and struggling actor I turned to Free Online Dating Sites to try and solve my woes! It’s been a really interesting experience. Some good and some bad. I would love to hear about anyone else’s experiences out there in cyber-LaLa Land. And so after all of my time in La La Land, on the strip and at the beach – how did I go in Cyberspace?? Well I ended up trying something new called Letter4Love and I’m kind of glad that I did, apparently it has come out of Los Angeles and beats all other forms of onine dating. You should check it out.

Well they claim to generate over 300,000 relationships a year….apparently. What do they mean generate? Textual Intercourse or what? I looked it up on Alex Rankings and for a Free Online Dating Site it does get a lot of traffic, that’s for sure. It is definitely 100% free. It’s a great idea. But, well… here’s what happened to me:

1. I put up a picture of myself on my profile
2. I named myself, “Nice_Guy_In_LA”
3. Filled out questions, ticked the heterosexual box
4. Got Contacted by “Rodney” who wanted to know if I’d ever considered changing teams
5. I quit and deleted my profile

Call me a prude, but I wasn’t game enough to stick it out. A lot of the profiles seemed like junk to me as well. I sent messages and winks to about 20 girls and didn’t hear back from any.

Conclusion. Next Site for me… onwards before I start to ponder what could possibly be wrong wioth me!
