Fucoxanthin from Japanese Wakame Seaweed is Turning the Tide in Weight Loss

Japanese Wakame seaweed, thought to be one of the first types of marine vegetation originating on the planet over one billion years ago, may hold the key to staying slim and healthy.

New scientific studies are suggesting that a pigment in this Japanese Wakame seaweed found in the form of a carotenoid called Fucoxanthin, may hold answers to targeting and reducing abdominal fat also known as belly fat.

This brings to light a completely new theory in weight loss and combating obesity. Until recently, this has never been thought possible.

Japanese scientists from Hokkaido University presented research at the 232nd National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Francisco. They presented conclusive findings of Fucoxanthin's ability to reduce the weight of obese rodents by up to 10% and expressed how Fucoxanthin from Wakame Seaweed could be developed as a natural extract to help fight obesity in humans.

Fucoxanthin from Japanese Wakame Seaweed

We begin with Wakame Seaweed because it not only has the highest concentrations of naturally occurring fucoxanthin, but also contains the broadest range of minerals of any food -- the same minerals found in the ocean and in human blood, such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and iodine. Wakame seaweed also contains vitamin C, fiber, beta-carotene, and pantothenic acid and riboflavin -- two B-vitamins needed for your body to produce energy. It is one of the most widely used forms of edible seaweed, consumed by the Japanese as much as ten thousand years ago, and long known for its beneficial health qualities.

Can We Really Lose Belly Fat? YES

Now, Wakame is becoming known for its Fucoxanthin, which is said to initiate the breakdown of the fats accumulated by the body's storing of unburned protein. Fucoxanthin can break apart the stored coupled-proteins within the fat cells and effectively turn the stored fat back into protein to be used by the body as energy.

The Science of Fucoxanthin

Research from the Japanese scientists concluded that Fucoxanthin has the ability to oxidize fat and release energy by adaptive thermogenesis within fat cells of white adipose tissue (WAT), the abdominal fat of adult humans. In their research we see that with the introduction of Fucoxanthin, UCP 1 protein can be uncoupled and released from white adipose tissue.

In the Fucoxanthin-fed mice, WAT weight significantly decreased and UCP1 was significantly expressed in the WAT, while there was no difference in WAT weight and little expression of UCP 1 in the glycolipids-fed mice. This result indicates that Fucoxanthin upregulates the expression of UCP1 in WAT, which may contribute to reducing WAT weight.

Fucoxanthin is reported to stimulate the expression of UCP 1 protein in white adipose tissue causing fat oxidation and conversation of energy to heat. This is a significant finding relative to combating obesity. UCP 1 Protein is a key molecule for metabolic thermogenesis to avoid an excess of fat accumulation. However, this protein molecule is typically only expressed in brown adipose tissue, of which there is very little in adult humans. This Japanese research concluded that with the introduction of Fucoxanthin into obese rats, there was a significant reduction in weight; and also that UCP 1 protein was significantly expressed in white adipose tissue.

According to Kazuo Miyashita, leader of the study funded by the Japanese government; "Since the abdominal area contains abundant adipose tissue, the compound might be particularly effective at shrinking oversized guts. This is the first time that a natural food component has been shown to reduce fat by targeting the UCP 1 protein."

The Science behind FucoPure Extract

The missing link in diet pills

FucoPure is a branded ingredient unlike anything else on the market. Working with superior patented Japanese Wakame dried flakes and using a high quality extraction facility, makes it possible to produce a proprietary 10% Fucoxanthin, which is 1,000 times more potent than the Fucoxanthin level naturally occurring in the seaweed. NI's Managing Director, Zoltan Klivinyi explains, "We were able to significantly increase the natural fucoxanthin to 10% and we are seeking multiple patents related to the production of this new FucoPure".

Pending Clinical Trials

The intent of the clinical trials is to show that Fucoxanthin creates an adaptive thermogenic effect in the fat cells found in white adipose tissue of adult humans, and to further show that this thermogenesis of human fat cells results in increased levels of energy and satiety within the body. The 12 male and 23 female subjects for the trial were chosen based on similar daily calorie in-take and routine energy expenditure patterns.

Contrary to the randomly chosen placebo group, the subjects taking FucoPure should, on average, drop 1 - 1.5lbs per week on a 350mg daily dose of FucoPure 10% extract. Subjects should further experience a 10-12lb drop in weight over a 12 week period, of which approximately 75% should be directly attributed to fat loss. Studies have been aimed at furthering the 2005 research of Kazuo Miyashita and the Japanese Scientists at Hokkaido University in Tokyo, Japan.

Consumers are looking for ancient healing wisdom backed by modern day science, FucoPure is the perfect example of an ancient weight loss secret brought to light by modern day science. The industry awaits the results of clinical trials currently being conducted on this new-to-market branded ingredient for weight loss. FucoPure is a 10% Fucoxanthin extract made from Japanese Wakame Seaweed. Order SlimMax with FucoPure Here.

I have heard for quite sometime about fucoxanthin and this FucoPure product and wondered why it is so widely used by athletes and body builders. I use a product that has 100mg of FucoPure in the ingredients along with an assortment of relative weight fighting supplements and now understand that targeting belly fat has instant results and shows off those abs. SlimMax has helped me to feel like a new person at the same time giving me the courage to keep the weight off and get out there and live! I urge others to consider that something to assist you through the ugly battle of weight loss, even if not SlimMax then start with FucoPure.
