Garlic is a kind of spice that some people doesn't like because of the smell that it produces. But it is very good to those people who have hypertension. Garlic is incorporated to snacks as a flavor like chips and other junk foods. There are people who don't like it but most of the foods has garlic to savor the taste of viands. The scientific name for garlic is Allium sativum L., belongs to onion family.

As long as the dawn of civilization the garlic was used and even some graves in Egypt has garlic which indicate further that this spice is popular and widely used by the Royal families.

You can eat it raw or can be mixed to your favorite foods. It is believed that garlic can drive away bad spirits. Garlic can be toxic to your cats and dogs.

The main producers of Garlic are China, India, South Korea and United States of America. Young leaves and stem of garlic is cook and used mostly in Asia like China, Vietnam and neighboring countries which is light in smell. Mediterranean countries use the cloves fried in oil to cook egg and vegetables for their breakfast.
