Gas Additives Do They Work

After doing a lot of extensive research on gas saving devices being advertised we have proven to ourselves which ones actually work and which ones do not work and can actually damage your vehicle.

After evaluating and testing more than 50 alleged gas- saving devices, we have found that only a few improve mileage.

The products that are on the market today consist of air-bleed devices, vapor-bleed devices, liquid injection devices, ignition devices, fuel line devices, mixture enhancers, internal engine modification devices, magnets, fuels and fuel additives, oils and oil additives, and driving habit modifiers. Where as we could not test all of them we did find that some are much better then others, I would personally not use anything that modifies the engine. Also a lot of the liquid additives are hard to measure and messy to use. I personally like anything that comes in a pill form, no muss no fuss. I am not here to per mote any particular product to you only to give my personal opinion on our own independent tests.

The EPA evaluates or tests products to determine whether their use will result in any measurable improvement to fuel economy. Always make sure the product you are using is EPA registered.

Many of the products have testimonials by satisfied customers. I find the best testimonial there is will be your own. For me I have to prove it to myself.

When doing these tests you must be consistent in your driving, the way you drive your car and the condition of your car is going to make a difference in the results you get.

One more very important factor If you have already purchased a gas-saving product and you are not satisfied, contact the manufacturer and ask for a refund. An honest company offers a money-back guarantee. I hope this information has been helpful and if you would like a more in depth report please contact.

Don't take the tank all the way to where it says "E".......Which stands for empty pockets. Figure out how many gallons it takes to top it off from a certain point on the gauge, and do that. Then take a price then mulitply that times how many gallons and BAM, u got it.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Yeah, a little more info would be helpful. What pills are being talked about? I've never heard of a pill for an engine, although I do like the idea.

if you really want to get the most from your car ...

change your engine air filter-if you pull it put and its dirty..or you cant see sunlight through it. change it

sparkplugs and wires -most cars have longer periods between changing..but if you read what qualifies as severe duty driving i.e. stop and go driving..idling for long periods of time etc..you cut those maintenance times almost in half

check engine light-no it does not mean check to see if your engine is still under your hood..it means you have an emissions related problem (usually) which means raw fuel is escaping your vehicle (and harming the environment) and your bank account. if you dont have a regular mechanic you go to..you can take your car to most auto parts stores and they can read your engine light codes for free. btw if your engine light flashes steady..its a missfire code and you need to go to a shop asap or its going to get costly quick.

other small components-gas filter, PCV, and other items listed in your owners manual need to be changed also.

tires-check your air pressure rating in the door jam on the drivers door or owners manual-that is the correct air pressure for your car..NOT the air pressure thats on the tires ..thats the max air if your car/truck was fully loaded i.e. a truck towing full of lumber or sand..and would be changed back after the load was removed..more inportant is underinflation. for every 1 PSI under..you lose about 3-5% gas milage..not to mention your tires are going to go bald 4x faster.

make sure to check all your fluids in the car every 2 weeks. I cant tell you how many cars I have seen with no motor oil in their cars..and figure out why the car is suddenly making noises..its easy to check ask someone for help if you need to

I hope this helps out..none of those octane boosters..magic in a bottle..air devices..or other toys some companies are selling are going to make your car perform better than what I listed above.

peace.

all these so called ''save gas'' products were tested by consumer electronics and ALL are a scam

Claims that the product is "EPA registered" means only that the EPA has tested for pollutants, NOT that the EPA endorses or certifies the claims of a product. All fuel additives are required to be registered with the EPA. Craig has offered the best information you can use. Slower starts and speeds alone can add 1 - 2 mpg. Coasting and turning your engine off whenever possible can add even more. If you spend another $1.50(AVG) per tank and use the next grade up you can improve your mileage as well. Virtually all milage increasing products are infact scams and worse. GM, with huge losses this last quarter would love to get you into a high milage car. If all it took was this "stuff", they would be all over it. Save your money, take care of your car, drive more carefully.
