ge recall 2.5 million dishwashers
59goverment regulators announceed on may 16 that ge is recalling 2.5 million dishwashers, the liquiq rinse aid can leak from the dispenser on to the internal wiring (same problem as the maytag recall a few months ago) this can cause an electrical shorts from the wires overheating, causing a fire hazard.
these dishwashers were sold in stores from september 1997 through december 2001 for about $400.
the recall include built in dishwashers sold under the following brand names.
ETERNA--GE--GE PROFILE--GE MONOGRAM--HOTPOINT--SEARS KENMORE.
