Sarah Asher Geronimo was born to Delfin Geronimo. Geronimo's first performance on stage was at a mall show when she was two years of age. Sarah sang "Pasko Na Naman" with Pinky Marquez and Richard Reynoso. She became part of a children's show, Pen-pen de Sarapen, from 1992 through 1994, Ang TV from 1995 through 1996, and NEXT from 1996 through 1997. Star For A Night, which was hosted by Regine Velasquez, was the singing contest where she joined on March 1, 2003, at the age of 14. Geronimo emerged as the grand prize winner of the competition with her rendition of the songs "To Love You More" and "To Mother with Love." She won P1 million and a managerial contract at Viva Artist Agency.
