Would you like to find out the secret to get rid of belly fat? I'm sure, no one likes spending hours of gym for miniscule changes in fat loss. The weight loss I am talking about is the kind you can visibly see in the mirror at the end of the week.

Ok, here is the secret to making your exercise to remove belly fat super effective. Fat loss only really occurs when you burn extra energy through your muscles. Now this doesn't really happen during normal cardio because your rate of burning is aerobic so your muscles just pick off the energy in your blood stream and at no point is your body going to need to dip into its fat reserves.

Something special happens however when you go a bit faster. Your bloodstream can't provide enough energy fast enough, so your muscle is forced to dip into its reserve stores (called muscle glycogen). You can burn through these reserves pretty quickly but immediately after the exercise your body needs to replenish this reserve.

At this point there isn't enough energy to fund both the replenishment of the muscle glycogen and run your normal body functions, so your body has to dip into its fat stores and start converting fat to energy, and this process can last for up to 40 hours after your exercise, so this type of exercise is certainly the best exercise to shrink belly fat.

It's called interval training, or more specifically, high intensity interval training and its used all over the world get rid of belly fat and for fitness. It was proven in a study by Trembley that it could shrink belly fat nine times faster than conventional aerobic exercise. Another great thing about it is that it turns your body into a fat guzzling supercar.

Over time your body will actually burn more fat naturally. If you think of it this way, if your body was a car and your muscles were the engine, your metabolism would be the amount of gas needed to power the car. Interval training changes your body so it needs a lot more gas, and as a result your body has no extra energy to make deposits into those fat cells you hate so much, so you stay very lean. It really is the best exercise to remove belly fat.

If you are just getting started, a good workout is the lose belly fat interval workout. It is essentially a beginner's guide to getting started, there are also a lot of resourses on interval training and how you can effectively use this to lose from 2lbs to 5lbs every week and exercise to get rid of belly fat more effectively than anyone else.

HIIT is definitely the way to go if trying to reduce belly fat. In fact it also burns more calories than a typical cardio workout. Take a calorie counter watch and try a regular workout for 20 minutes and then on another day do a HIIT workout for 20 minutes and see the difference. Even more telling... keep the calorie counter on for 1 hr past each workout.

Ok, sound like sense to me, but can you give some example of effect interval training, is it like doing loads of press ups fast, or lifting weight fast.

I have been tring to lose my belly from a few years of eating and drinking and lack of excercise as I was getting fat :-(

However I have been training now for the past six months and normally do like 200 press ups in the morning quite fast before I have a shower.

i.e.

60 then i clean my teeth

70 then i have a shave

then i try and smash 100 before getting into the shower.

This has worked for me as I do weights a few times a week and kickboxing a few times now and i can see and feel how fit I am getting.

It took me like a month before copuld do 200 I started with 50, lol
