The Best of Girl Watchers - Week #5

This shot was taken at Venice Beach California. Venice Beach is world famous for it's boardwalk with all it's crazy people that parade up and down in front of restaurants and street vendors. There is also a beach where people can swim and surf and well as relax in the sun.

I got so many good shots in just a few hours that this one almost didn't get my attention at first. The more I looked at this shot, the more I liked it. It has so many things going for it. Obviously the first thing you notice is the beautiful girl in the red bikini. The lighting caught her just right and her body language is quite charming. Then there is the people sitting around her, the older couple in the background, the palm trees, blues sky, the bicycles in the sand, even the workers on a building in the far background. A picture of a idylic beach day can't get much better.

I think this was the best of the posts I made last week and was the most viewed shot also.

This image is the runner for week #5. I know everyone likes color photos of sexy girls in bikinis, but I really like to try and catch those candid moments that show the inner beauty as well.

My favorite alternative process in post processing has to be creating high contrast images. I really like the "more with less" aspect of this type of photography. I like the pen and ink hand drawn feel that you get. This was taken over a year ago and is one of my all time favorites.

This girl was filling out an application for a job at one of the shops at "The Grove" in Hollywood. Hence the title: Applicant
