I said, uhum....yep...that's right, many times as I read through this little red book with it's rough edged pages.

It felt like sitting beside a friend and listening to their story.

It's one of those books that you can read in a quiet afternoon or evening. A book that draws you in because you have recognized the 5 values described often but, perhaps not under their power. Bob Burg and John Mann have collaborated to put into story form profound truths that make you stop, take a deep breath.

Being a servant, putting others first ultimately leads to unexpected returns. This truth is timeless and universal. It embraces the core values of men and revives the idea that servanthood is not at all about being the least of all.

My personal experience with Mike Klingler and Renegade University resonated with me as I read through the Go-Giver. Mike has been teaching now for years on the value of realizing all that each one of us has to offer to the markets we are reaching out to. The core of Renegade University, is what Bob Burg describes as "The Law of Value" in the Go-Giver. Mike Klingler personafies this as he and his team show their true worth by giving much more in the beginning than they receive in payment. In the Go-Giver, the first lesson that Joe, the GoGetter, learns is that when starting out in a venture ask yourself, is what I am about to do serve others, am I adding value to others? If the answer is yes, then income will start happening. If your can do better and exceed your market's expectation of service, the income will exceed your expectations.

For those networkmarketers who are looking for solutions to how to begin Attraction Marketing, Renegade University truly serves and offers exceptional value. In fact, someone who takes a close look at the support/teaching system them there will soon see that they are getting far more than expected for free. Upgrade to a Professional level still remains an added value service.

Business unfolded for Joe the GoGetter, creating new income as he learned something more after his first tenuous act of offering unexpected service. He found that the more people he served well without ulterior motive, more business volume came his way. Attraction Marketing is the model of marketing taught at Renegade University. In this model, Klingler teaches how to put into application all the marketing tools of a blog, content sharing, using lead capture pages and many more skills that increases the number of people you serve exponentially. In fact, at Renegade University service is provided free as you watch archived webinars that take you click by click through tutorials. This service activates the Law of Compensation as defined in the Go-Giver as "your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them."

The parable of Joe the GoGetter is set in financial services. Joe kept score. When he helped the competition secure a new account, he didn't hesitate to call in the favour if he was in a bind. This is not win-win. It is not networking. It is, I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine. Joe had to examine what true networking looked like, how it would play out in his day to day work. Joe's mentor Pindar, taught him that a true network results when a group of people come to know you, they actually like you and then trust you. These people may never buy anything from you, but because you have earned their respect, they refer you on to someone who may need to purchase your goods or services. The advertising value that your network provides is priceless as they operate like a troop of personal ambassadors for your business, which of course, you do in return. Referrals for your services become the norm and so the Law of Influence builds your business volume.

In Attraction Marketing as taught at Renegade University, you will find this Law of Influence manifested as you generously place other's people's interest first. You are taught to develope relationships, having personal conversation so that when the time comes for making the sell, or sponsoring these contacts, you have earned their trust and loyalty.

In the Go-Giver, Bob Burg says that only 10% max represents the importance of having all of the technical skills of marketing. In order to reach goals that you have in business, your people skills are 90% responsible for your success. In all of this marketing, we sometimes scramble to learn the techniques, to master the presentation, to work on posture, to get specialized knowledge on our product or services. Where all of these steps are necessary to do business in integrity, they represent only a very small percent of what attracts your customer.Burg goes on to list some of the people skills to hone in on: liking people, caring about people, listening to people, but most importantly it is just being you.

Burg writes: " The most important value you have to give people is yourself. No matter what you think you are selling, what you're really offering is you." That is The Law of Authenticity.

This is why this networkmarketing industry creates true leaders. Each person who reaches their level of success has gone through a journey of personal growth that sometimes is very hard work and leads to true personal authenticity. Again at Renegade University, Klingler carefully reminds us as we create online content, to simply represent who we are personally, to write from our hearts.

The Go-Giver describes The Law of Receptivity as the fifth principle for successful living. Having an attitude of abundance, or focusing on what it is that you want and finding events unfold to bring it to you are familiar mantras in writing today." All the giving in the world won't bring success, won't create the results you want, unless you also make yourself willing and able to receive in like measure. Because if you don't let yourself receive, your're refusing the gifts of others-----and you shut down the flow". Bob Burg goes on to give several obvious, yet profound examples how in nature, balance and health in the world is dependent on the principle of giving and receiving.

The secret to success "is to give, give give. The secret to getting is giving. And the secret to giving is making yourself open to receiving." Joe the Go-Getter becomes Joe the Go-Giver when he realizes The Law of Receptivity not only is a huge benefit to his business, but impacts all of his life relationships. Joes enjoys the fun of new comraderie in the office, enhanced intimacy with his wife, the feel of well being. Life is good and I am contributing to good in the lives of others.

The 5 Laws of Success outlined in this little book is an excellent inspiration that is easily read in an evening or afternoon. It would make The Go-Giveran awesome gift for your sales team. I recommend it as motivational reading in your library.
