Newly Graduates Faces Tough Challenges after College

There are thousands of college students nationwide who will be graduating this year 2008 of which majority of them will be facing tough challenges in the next chapter of their life. After four years of tormenting but well deserved college education, members of graduating class of 2008 will be hard-pressed to join millions of job hunters to find and fill limited employment opportunities in the economically unstable Philippines. Every year young graduates are facing difficulty in landing a job so much so that most of the time the savvy and purpose driven newly graduates looks for jobs overseas. Ultimately, these young men and women leave the Philippines to work and establish their future in other country. They have no other choice but to look for a decent living. The Philippines has a high unemployment rate and it couldn't accommodate thousands or millions of job seekers. Overseas employment is the only way to achieve the desired success for the globally competitive Filipinos. They are many actually who are doing their best in their chosen fields all over the world. Dr. Jose Rizal, the part Chinese part Filipino national hero of the Philippines once said: "The youths are the hope of the motherland." But it wasn't anymore. The country's dedicated young graduates end up nothing in their own country but stand tall in foreign lands. They become movers and shakers in the competitive world.
