Graduation

Graduation is one of the most nerve racking thing anyone will ever go through. This past Tuesday I graduated from high school and I was so scared that I was going to fall or be embarassed at some point but fortunately none of that happened. Here are a few tips on getting through your graduation:

1. No matter what your shoes look like, if they're comfortable wear them.
Trust me on this one. I started out practice in a pair of low sling back wedges that happened to be half a size to big in one shoe (they were both the same size too. It's crazy.) and before I ever got into the church I had already called my mom to bring the other not as nice looking but comfortable pair to me.

2. If you wear a white gown you will probably spend a month looking for a completely white dress and will not find a cute one.
If your paper says to wear a dress or a skirt and blouse it's still okay to wear pants or capris but do no wear shorts. Also, do not wear jeans. You need to look like you tried to dress up or people will think you just didn't care what you wore.

3. If your gown has a stick on collar that's attached by stickers (literally mine was attached with stickers), it is probably okay not to wear it.
We had that kind and I brought it with me and the only thing it ended up doing was messing up my tassle. I ended up throwing it in a bag with my other shoes because almost no one else was wearing it either. Not to mention the instructions to put it on were totally confusing.

4. Don't sweat it. Everything is going to work out just fine. I'm a complete clutz (however you spell that) and absolutely nothing went wrong. And my graduation was broadcasted all over the internet too and even that didn't make me nervous (for once). You just need to keep your head up and your eyes down when walking. That's key.

To everyone out there reading this and graduating soon CONGRATULATIONS!!! I wish you all the best of luck in everything that you do.
