I am grateful

There are so many times when we look around and give power to the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side". The grass is only greener on the other side because we busy ourselves looking at it more than we do our own. I have a great many things in my life for which I cannot help but be grateful for. I am only 22 and I have the life that I had dreamed of throughout my high school career. I obviously have new, bigger and better dreams and am confident that I have the personal power to fulfill them. I am grateful for everything in my life and in defining that which I am grateful for I hope to inspire you to see the joy and abundance in your own life.

The Horn of Plenty

"My cup runneth over." There is no lack, no such thing as "not enough". We are the creators of our reality.

love

The most powerful feeling in the Universe. The source of all that is,was and ever will be again.

Relationships

I will start with my relationships. They take precedence over all else because if we do not have Love, we do not have life. I believe that all of creation was born of love and love is what will sustain us through all darkness.

I am grateful for my son. My bouncy baby boy with all his giggles, gurgles and crabbyness. I am grateful for the unconditional love that he has taught me. I am gratefull for all the lessons I have learnt from him and the lessons he is yet to teach me. I thank him for the tough days and the days of smooth sailing he has and will still give me. I am grateful that he chose me as his mother. With all my flaws, he sees me as perfect. He looks at me through the eyes of the one source of light and pure love and in his eyes I see myself as great and grand. I am grateful to be possessed by him, to be his one and only Mother.

I am grateful for my Mothers love. That love that is unconditional in the truest sense of the world. Her love that saw to it that I never felt lack, never felt cold, never felt lost. My Mothers love, any mothers love, is the power that drives me to be who I am and, more importantly, to know who I am. That love that taught me that I am good enough, strong enough and worthy enough to anything that I want! Her loves teaches me that I am priceless and for that, I hold my head high. I loved my Mother long before I was born!

I am grateful for my sister. My sweet and silly baby sister. She is growing into a respectable and smart young lady. Her love may sometimes be hidden under our daily sisterly barbs but still peeps from under a remark to surprise me. When I hurt or when she hurts it shines brighter than the sun. She can't hide that! I can't hide that I love her as deeply as if she were my own heart.

I am grateful for the love of a phenomenal man. I have every girls dream guy! I cannot believe my luck; he loves me deeply, truly and fiercely. His love is gentle, kind and caring. He has taught me that no matter what I am, he loves me and always will. I love him for loving me, for treating me like a Queen. His love is patient and constant.

I am grateful for my friends; I have taken care to choose them and am glad I did. The few true friends I have have passed the most stringent of loyalty tests and they are the few, of many, who have endured. They have my love and I know I have theirs. The choice of a friend is not one to be made lightly and I have the cream of the crop.

My Faith

My Spirit is the root of my happiness. My faith guides me through the treachorous obstacles of day to day existence in a world of apathy and greed.

Wicca - If you need a name for it.

My chosen path is not one that can be clearly defined by a label. If you need one, as I understand many of us do, you may call it Wicca. Witchcraft most closely resembles my faith. I am grateful that I live in a world in which we are free to believe what we like. I am grateful for my strength of conviction in what I believe and the intelligence to stand up for it. I am grateful to have learned to educate those who do not understand with kindness and acceptance. I am grateful that I understand that there is not one ultimately righteous path that all faiths of love lead to one Godhead, one Summerland. Enlightenment is the birthright of each and every soul! I am grateful to those who fought for my right to be open about my faith.

Health

Health! A coveted state of being. We are fragile entities and to be in a state of good health is the deepest desire of many.

My body, My temple

I am grateful for my impeccable state of health. Though I may push my body to its limits at times, it has endured. Through smog and smoke, diets and added preservatives, pollution and sickness, this amazing vehicle has endured it all! I am grateful that my body forgives me for every unhealthy substance I put into it, knowingly or not. I am grateful for its astounding powers of adaptation. It is a wondrous thing and I am glad to be stuck in it during my stay here on earth. I am utterly in love with its stunningly beautifully flawed aesthetic. My heart that beats, pumping vital life giving blood to all my extremities, I thank you. My unbeatable bones, allowing me to walk with dignity, I thank you. My muscles, the strength of my being, allowing me to protect and love my family, I thank you. Kidneys, for cleaning my body, I thank you. To my brain, the MD of my body, my home of my intellectual capability, I thank. To the rest of my body, I thank you, for your hard work and astounding healing. To each and every limb and appendage, I thank you for sticking around. I would be lost without you all!

Wealth

Wealth in my life is neverending. "money comes frequently and easily" these words were spoken by an unknown source and that is the best truth I have come across to date!

My prosperity

I am rich beyond my wildest dreams! I could never imagine, before I started working, that I would have this much money at my disposal and monthly too. The flow is never-ending. When I need it, it appears. My Fiancé and I have, between the two of us, provided our son with everything that he needs with occasional help from family. Neither of us earns a small fortune, but we have exactly as much as we need to be comfortable, well fed and well clothed. At the age of 22 we are independent, live on our own and are managing quite well. We are the envy of many of our high school friends (not that I enjoy that). I am so grateful that we are able to manage, to have what we need with the money that we have. I am grateful for my job. I love the work I do beyond measure. It may get to me at times but then, like any other family member, I forgive my job its flaws and we go on together.

for taking this journey with me. I look forward to joining you on yours.

Nice, positive hub! Wouldn't it be great if everyone was happy, satisfied with what they have and thankful for it? I especially enjoyed the part about motherhood and your description of how your baby sees you. Excellent!
