Is it possible to grow taller even if you have already past the stage of natural growth? Many people are concerned with their height and although you should be happy just the way you are, the truth is that taller people have advantages over shorter people. Is it fair? No, but that's how it is. Studies show that taller people are seen as more confident and more attractive. They also tend to earn more and hold higher positions in companies. Taller people look like they have more power to command as well.

Can you be successful, make lots of money, attract a beautiful spouse, and be happy even if you weren't tall? Of course you can. Realize that even if you are taller than most people, your advantages can only take you so far. Success in life comes from that actions we take. You can be shorter than your competitor but still look more powerful just by the way you move and carry yourself. If you want to look more confident, increased height will help but if you don't walk the walk, you will still look like an inferior timid person.

Why Grow Taller?

If you are reading this, then that means you have an interest in being taller than you are right now. You may have felt the need to want to grow taller because perhaps your peers are taller than you are and you feel like you are somehow less than them. Perhaps you are sick and tired of being called shorty and small all the time. Whatever your reason for wanting to know how to grow taller, realize that much of your height has to do with genetics. People who are tall didn't work to get tall. They were just born that way and because of that, it makes them no more special than you.

If you are still in your growth stage, there are some things you can do to help grow a few inches more however. It really comes down to nutrition and what you eat. Vitamins can help you add a few inches if taken regularly. Think about it this way. The reason why people are taller than others is because tall people have longer bones or longer body parts. A person who grows up without the proper nutrients isn't likely to reach his or her full height capacity. To help improve your height during your growth stage, you need to feed your body things like calcium to strengthen your bones.

If you are past your growing years however, you may feel like it's impossible to grow any taller. Luckily, most of us aren't at our fullest heigh capacity. For this reason, even if you haven't grown for the past 10 years, you still have some hope of adding an inch or two. For the most part, people use quick fixes to look taller, and they work. Doing things like wearing taller shoes and wearing the right clothes can instantly make you look taller. Even your hair style and the height of the people you hang around with can alter how tall you actually look.


Now in terms of physically growing taller, unfortunately, unless if you have some sort of expensive surgery, you won't actually be able to make your bones or body add more inches. So how do you grow taller? As stated earlier, chances are, you are not at your fullest height capacity. For this reason, you can add an inch or two. If you are in really bad shape in terms of posture, you can add even more.

Growing Taller Scams

There are tons of websites selling "secrets" to growing taller. There are even a dozen or so products that claim it can add inches to your height in a short amount of time. Everything from wearing metal stuff to taking some miracle pills. Until you actually talk to someone who has tried those things and you have seen them before and after the change with your own eyes, be weary. Just because a sales page shows "proof", it doesn't mean that it's true. Who says they can't lie or exaggerate the truth? They can even easily claim a height increase by measuring someone how is simply not standing as straight as they can, then later on for the after photo, tell them to stand as straight as possible.

How to Grow Taller - The Secret

So is there a secret to growing taller? Well, not really. It's pretty much common sense. If you want to increase your height, you must extend your body to its fullest capacity. You see, most people are walking around and sitting with a poor posture. This will make you look shorter than you really are. Even if you consciously straighten your back, you will only gain that inch or two momentarily. This is because your posture is the form that you molded your body into. It's a habit. Even if you consciously straighten your body out, it's going to be uncomfortable and in some cases even painful to do.

Another reason why many people aren't at their full height capacity is because of their spine. If you look at a picture of the human spine, you can see that it curves a certain way. Well, if your spine isn't curved to a shape that maximizes your height, you will be shorter than you should be. The way your spine is shaped could be due to many things but one of them is how you molded your body over the years by the way you carry yourself.

As you can see in the example picture below, the person on the right has a deeper curve than the person on the left. This can cause you to lose an inch or two of height. The height consequences aren't shown clearly in this picture though. In fact, the person with the bad posture looks taller. This is just to serve as an example of how the shape of your spine can effect your height so disregard the height.

So now that you know this, how can you actually grow taller? You can do this by doing stretching exercises. You may have seen those ebooks that claim they have the secret to growing taller. Much of those ebooks are filled with a bunch of stuff you don't need to know in order to make it look longer and therefore, make it feel like it was worth the money. You probably wouldn't be happy if you spend over $20 just to get a 10 page ebook.

So the secret lies in doing these stretching exercises daily in order to reshape or "mold" your body into a form that is closer to your full height potential and actually stay there. Keep in mind that this process can take months or longer. Think about it. It took years of bad posture for you to have the form you have now, so how do you expect to change everything over night?

Grow Taller Stretches

So what sort of stretches should you be doing? Some of the best stretches can be found in yoga. There are many more stretches you can do. Always remember to take your health in consideration. Never stretch to the point where you are in pain. Consult a doctor before you begin anything physical if you are unsure.

The following are just some examples you can do. What those grow taller ebooks show you are basically a bunch of stretches that they feel are the most effective. You would then do them every day in order for a number of sets and so on. Again, your results will largely depend on how you already are and of course genetics. Either way, realize that confidence and self worth comes from within. If growing taller doesn't work for you, work on the inner game instead.

The stretches below are just some stretch techniques you can use. If you want to learn more, you can get one of those programs that are sold online. You can skip all of the mumbo jumbo that they will probably talk about and go straight to the stretching exercises. They will give you a lot more stretches that you can do as well as give you step by step procedures.
