Is it possible to stop hair loss with hair growth vitamins?

Any time after leaving puberty men can start to lose hair. This type of hair loss is often referred to as male pattern hair loss. This form of hair loss is called androgenic alopecia. As I am sure many of you know, this can be damaging to the self image and esteem of both young and old men and many people look for a cure for their hair loss. Could the answer be hair growth vitamins?

Women are not out of the firing line either. They can also suffer from androgenic alopecia. However their sympotoms are slightly different. They do not lose all their hair in patches, like the typical M imprint on many balding men, however their hair thins all over their head.

Hair growth vitamins provide vitamins that will help reduce your hair loss, and possibly regrow lost hair.

Most contain a form of vitamins B called biotin. This is responisible for aiding the growth of fast replicating cells, for example nails and hair. It helps to strengthen and thicken the hair, and stops it from falling out.

Vitamins for hair growth should also contain some form of DHT inhibitor. DHT is a hormone which is created from excess testosterone. It has devastating effects on the hair.

If you are suffering from hair loss, it is recommended to consult a physician before taking any hair loss medicine. You may be suffering hair loss for many reasons, such as hormone imbalance or even stress, which may not be cured by taking vitamins.
