Hangover Cures - Fix a Hangover
73Hangover cures have a reputation for encouraging young people to drink to excess. The best hangover cure though is the one that makes sure you say no to the drink in the first place. The best hangover cures need to rectify certain problems caused by excessive alcohol consumption and they are dehydration, loss of vitamins A & C from the body and the toxins absorbed by the drink itself.
It is known fact that some drinks give you worse hangovers than others due to the actions of impurities contained in the alcohol. Another factor to consider is the concentration of these impurities as this will have an effect on how quickly you become drunk as well as the severity of the hangover. Colored spirits like Cognac and Whisky have more impurities than clear drinks like Gin and Vodka for example as these drinks have been through a filtration process.
However, the real reason we have hangovers and strive for perfect hangover cures is because we simply drink too much. Often individuals become drunk because they drink on an empty stomach or drink a large amount in a short space of time but whatever the reason, no-one forces us to do it! Sensible drinkers drink slowly, allowing the alcohol to be processed by the body at a rate that does not ‘overload' it. However, most drinkers, the majority of which are young do not adhere to these simple rules and almost always require some type of hangover cure. Some strange and weird concoctions have arisen over the years to cater for this self induced condition and as a consequence everyone has a hangover cure they want to share with you. But discovering the best cure for a hangover is still a long way off, apart from not drinking of course.
Left unchecked, it doesn't matter how much you drink, alcohol will gradually dehydrate the body and this dehydration can lead to the hangover headache the next day. In answer to this situation it is important to remain hydrated whilst you are drinking and before sleep. Sometimes taking a couple of headache pills before bed along with a pint of water and then a glass of orange juice in the morning is often all that is required. This is quite affective but like many things in life, the older you become as far as drinking is concerned, the less you actually able to drink in the first place and the less likely it is the hangover cures will work.
A recent addition to the hangover cure library was eating bananas as they contain potassium and fructose, just two of the minerals lost during drink. Bananas also contain magnesium, good for the headache caused by pounding blood vessels and a natural antacid to help with the nausea.
Some proclaim that the ultimate hangover cure is the ‘Bloody Mary' which is simply vodka and orange juice with a few other ingredients but many people cannot face alcohol with a hangover. Learning to say 'thanks but no thanks' could save you years of unnecessary suffering and frustration looking for a hangover cure that works every time!

Hey loved your hubpage about fixing the hangover.
I really enjoyed the video about the freshly squeezed orange juice with the egg. Works every time I am have used it several times successfully myself.
I don’t drink heavy often however once in awhile there is a lot of fun going on or work calls for being social and the next day calls for production.
An egg and the fleshly squeezed orange juice is the fix all for a hangover. It gets your back in the game quickly.
Let’s think about this if it gets you up to speed quickly and cures a hangover what will it do for you as an addition to you diet?
Great hubpage Thanks!

The only alcohol drink that is acceptable for me in the morning is beer. The only thought of vodka makes me sicker! But even beer should be consumed on a rare occasion, because, well, it's a step towards serious alcohol addiction.
