A major subject for me to write about, is thyroid disease, especially the autoimmune type in which the immune system sends antibodies out to attack the thyroid gland. It has been my experience and that of many other people I have corresponded with, to discover that the onset of severe anxiety symptoms would be revealed as thyroid disease. Most patients with thyroid disease end up with a low functioning thyroid or "hypothyroidism" but if it is the autoimmune type, the intial phase they will go through, is "hyperthyroidism" or an overactive thyroid. This hyperthyroid phase is referred to as "Hashitoxicosis" and I'm posting the link to my audio on the subject below, plus the link to a website created by a man who suffers with this condition, as a part of the disease that also causes him hypothyroidism. The man has good info on the site but I also enjoy personal story type websites like this one, that other patients with the same health disorders can relate to.
MY AUDIO ON "HASHITOXICOSIS">>
Patients with autoimmune hypothyroidism can experience a condition called "Hashitoxicosis". This condition causes hyperthyroidism symptoms, such as anxiety, nervousness, sweating, weight loss etc... Afterward patients can revert back into hypothyroidism.

A GREAT PERSONAL STORY WEBSITE BY A MAN WHO SUFFERS HASHITOXICOSIS>>
This man who suffers from hypothyroidism, caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis and who also suffers with Hashitoxicosis (intermittent hyperthyroidism), has created a really informative website. The site includes his own story of suffering from thyroid disease (the same disease, I "JimLow" suffer with) and he shares other helpful information including how to interpret your thyroid blood test results and he shares his own blood labs, that diagnosed his thyroid disease. He has some really great topics on the site, one that really caught my attention that I found shortly after my own diagnosis is entitled: "Why You're Not Crazy", which is an article he wrote in regard to the emotional symptoms of thyroid disease and how sometimes these are wrongly diagnosed as emotional disorders, when Doctors fail to diagnose the underlying cause as being thyroid disease. It's just an all around great website that helps thyroid patients vent a little by reading a fellow patient's own venting about the struggles of thyroid disease.
