Each year during the colder seasons, many of us have become accustom to remaking the bedding to include our heated blankets and heated bedding. Now heated bedding has come a step further and heated mattress pads are the next thing. Heated mattress pads keep you warm form the bottom, instead of from the top where much of the warmth is lost but thats not the best benifit.

Warming matress pads are not all created equal. Some will have automatic turn off or timers, some will not. As a safety rule of caution, A heated mattress pad should always be turned off when not in use. Some heated mattress pads offer pre-warming to start before you get in bed, this is fine, but turn it off in the morning.

Just like not all are the same in timers, the same can be said with washing care. Some heated mattress pads are hand wash only while many others are washer safe or washer safe on gentle setting. Some may need to be hang dried. Before buying heated mattress pads, look at what the care instructions are for the particular heating mattress pad you are looking for.
