What is a homogeneous society
A homogeneous society is such a society where most of the people share the same type of cultures values, language, ethnicity and religious system. Recent research has found that archaic Homo sapiens evolved to anatomically modern humans in between 200,000 and 100,000 years ago, , then some members of modern humans started to leave Africa by 60,000 years ago into different parts of the world and environment made us ethnically diverse, otherwise in the beginning of human race we all we black. In that sense black people are our real ancestors, our root. If you closely observe some common behavior of humans you will find that no matter how much culturally and religions divided we are , most of the nationals of the world share same types of human quality(bad and good human nauters) and similar types of myths found in many countries. It does not matter if your were born in latin American or Europe , most of us share the common social values and think almost the same way.what made us almost think alike, of course think alike means about some humans nature.
Types of homogeneous society
Homogeneity comes to a society in a numbers of ways-ethnically(
Japanese), religiously(many Arab nationals), culturally(Indians),
politically(communism) etc. Study has shown that the most prominent type of
homogeneity is the ethnic one, where all the people have similar type
complexion and cultural. Financial
homogeneity also exists in many countries, it is was prevalent in many
communist countries-this type of homogenous society is in decline. Ethnic
homogeneity still strong among many aboriginal groups in USA,
Latin countries and Africa.
Homogeneous society Examples
Though today's world it's nearly impossible to find a perfect homogeneous society, yet some great example of homogeneous society is Japanese society, Chinese, some African tribes : Zulu south Africa,Yoruba in Nigeria and Benin, Amhara and Afar in Ethiopia(Afra also live in the areas of Eritrea, Djibouti, and
Somalia in the Horn of Africa), Red Indians or Native Americans in the United States and some more in middle east and south and south-eastAsia.
Advantage of homogeneity
In heterogeneous society language barrier sometimes cause great danger to the unity of the entire society .At the same time diversity of religious and ethnic groups can take destructive path. For instance, after 911 many Indians, Pakistanis and Arabs were either beaten or threatened in many US cities ,the reason is not difficult to understand. Lack of religious homogeneity at times turn to be very dangerous-India was mostly affected by it due Hindu-Muslim riots in a number of occasion. Moreover, a fair political homogeneity in a society can be much more powerful then political heterogeneity in the sense that Govt. decision making would be much easier since it is bound to reflect all the majority people’s point of view.
Main problem with the homogeneous society
History suggest that homogeneity of a nation were threatened and broken many times and it is also not possible to preserve the perfect homogeneousness of a society . For example, during the period of 5300-1940 B.C Sumerian used to live in current day IRAQ, in spite of being politically, socially, and agriculturally advanced they lacked or did not even consider developing their military power which caused them defect in the hands of Akkadians. Perhaps, homogeneous ideology in every aspect of life and society, blind the people living in a homogeneous society about the development of the rest of the world. Every moment our world is advancing and every nation and society contributing toward the development. There is little scope for any society to be conservative about it's culture, political system and technology-I mean in terms of not accepting and adopting the better alien ideas and technology. Not accepting changes is the main problem of the leaders living in homogeneous society, which eventually lead to the fall of the entire society- Japan suffered this type of problem and get backward during the time of Shogun, who believed in the homogeneity of their society. yet, it is still possible to maintain ethnically homogeneity to a great extent- now Japan is an ideal example of it. Nonetheless it can be said that a homogeneous society is fairly stable than any other type of society.

Thanks paradise for interesting comment.I agree with you about your comment on heterogeneous society. But homogeneous society is a bit better in terms of social stability such as any racial or religious problems-that's just my opinion based some data.Otherwise,a diverse society is far better than a homogeneous society-kind of a breeding ground of innovation.
Hi, I'm surprised with your comments - defending that homogeneous society model is better than the heterogeneous is for me at least worrying or maybe I didn't understood a thing about your point.
I think you are forgeting some recent episodes in human history in which some tried to create an homogeneous society. There is only one way to do this, because what is natrural is diference, forcing others to accept a model that a state, nation, whatever, sees as the best one.
And that kind of stability you only get by first killing the diferences in it. Isn't that a high price for 'stability'?
Thanks rcisophie for stopping by and taking note of my comment.I am not defending homogeneous society, neither I am against it -just trying to make some interesting points about homogeneous society. As I mentioned in my earlier comment that I love diverse culture and diverse society as well.

I read this twice: I believe I got your point. I'm not sure, though. I'm one for pointing out our similarities as human beings; you did this too, but seemed to think a homogenous society is better or more advantageous. I don't know about that, I'm American, and we come from all over the world, and there's something very positive, envigorating, refreshing, and mind-expanding about that fact.
