It’s got to be something in the water…

What does it say about a major company devoted to making movies for children that it’s retinue of female stars includes a white trash momma, a girl with nudie pictures that everyone and their brother has seen, a rehab regular, a good girl turned slut turned ‘glam singer’, anorexics and other unsavory folk? These girls all come from different backgrounds, but yet all wind up in the same condition:

• Underweight
• Addicted to drugs
• Slutty
• More popular the less they wear

These girls (and just to be clear I’m talking about the Lindsay Lohan phenomenon, the Britney Spears spectacle, and the Vanessa Hudgens va…vapidity) lose dignity and pounds more and more as the day goes by, rewarded by attention, paparazzi, money and more fame. What caused them to spiral into the depths of mind-altering substances, acts of insanity and general jezebel activity?

Fame.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane. Remember the Mouseketeers? This lovable band of teenagers singing and laughing together on your television just isn’t what it used to be when Annette Funicello ran the show.

Number Four

Let’s start with the Mouseketeer who has the least amount of social baggage. Oh yes, I do mean Christina Aguilera. What’s the biggest to-do about this starlet in 2007? Baby rumors. She doesn’t do drugs, she doesn’t drink to excess and then try and wave herself in front of the camera. Her worst fallacy is dressing like a hooker, repeatedly. If I had a body like hers, I might just paint on some hot pants once in a while myself!

Feel better? Christina has cleaned up her image, going for a stately pin-up model type of look. She looks a heck of a lot better in long evening gowns and fur, I’ll tell you that much!

Number Three

Next on my list of floozies for 2007 is none other than little Miss High School Musical herself, Vanessa Hudgens. First the rumors flew of naked photos taken by an ex-boyfriend of hers, and then the rumors were announced to be true. Suddenly the innocent Hudgens became a trollop, the media vultures descending to grasp at any glimpse they could of Vanessa Hudgens in anything less than modest attire.

It really is a pity that such a young star took her career to a tawdry level this quickly. One can only hope she cleans up her act as real maturity sets in.

Numero Dos

This brings me to number two, and boy this is a hard choice to make. In my short time as an adult following the entertainment industry I have never seen the purity of youth fall so low.

Her list of social faux pas is short, but it’s a doozy. Alcohol, possibly drugs, sex with multiple partners in a short period of time, indecent behavior and general raunchy behavior have turned this former star of Disney’s ‘The Parent Trap’ and ‘Freaky Friday’ into a Grade A smutmonger. Various pictures of Miss Lohan in drunken stupor and states of undress have been plastered over the far corners of the internet, and still it seems Lindsay Lohan’s partying days are not over.

Spending time floating to and from rehab centers, partying and delving into sexual debauchery, even Lindsay Lohan’s activities pale in the face of the Number One Ho of 2007. Take a break from my opinion to view a younger, less used up and liver-killing Lindsay Lohan:

Who could talk about the depravity of formerly wholesome stars without discussing the one, the only, Britney, b****? Certainly not this avid moviegoer! In an effort to keep the sordid details of this trailer trash mama censored, here’s a list of offenses which brought this blond bimbo to the very top of my list of Hollywood Hos.

• Hitting parked cars
• Private parts pictured and distributed over the internet worldwide
• Losing a child custody battle to K-Fed
• Drunkenness
• Shaved her own head
• Missing visitation with her children
• Did I mention drunkenness and intimate areas displayed clearly?

Honestly, this girl doesn’t have issues. She has VOLUMES. Some poor psychiatrist is going to have to put on a snorkel and dive deep to untie the knots in Britney Spears’ psyche, and I don’t envy him or her that experience one bit.
