78The original Blue Jeans was first introduced by Levi Strauss in United States. Levi Strauss was German immigrant. This is during the Gold Rush era in the year 1853. Actually Levi Strauss was trying to sell dry and rough canvas to make tents and cover wagons. But in San Francisco, where he was trying sell his brother's dry goods, there was demand for pants. When the dry rough canvas reminded unsold, he use the same materials to make pants. People around San Fransisco liked the new rough pants, but the canvas was bit too rough and tough to stitch as well. Therefore, he imported twilled cotton Clothing from France which is called "serge de Nimes" which later in US became denim - and the pants made out of this became Blue Jeans. Officialy, the Levi Strauss started making branded jeans in 1873.
Now Levi's or Levi Strauss is one of larges selling jeans in the World. In India too, it is as popular. The Distribution Center of Levi's jeans are located in Bangalore, with HQ too located here. Currently Levi's Jeans is distributed through DHL at a warehouse locted at Hoskota, near Bangalore.
Now to answer the question raised by Opt.Rajesh, here are some Indian Housewife wearing jeans. Wearing jeans is now IN, in Indian fashion. Also our desi housewife don't shy away from wearing the same. As new generation who grow up seeing growth of jean's cultures, do not hestitate to wear the hot pants and swimg their big butts to gain men's attention.
