real wilderness will nourish your soul. you got to go there to believe it.
- The terrain here is thickly wooded hills, plateaus, deep valleys and rolling grasslands.
- Altitude ranges from 340m to 2,510m and annual rainfall varies between 800 mm to 4500 mm .
- Both southwest and northeast monsoons occur here.
- . The area is drained by several perennial and semi-perennial river systems like the Kallar and Sholaiar rivers
- contains man-made reservoirs such as Aliar and Thirumurthy.
the elephant ride
perhaps when i went there i always opted for the elephant ride. not until i saw how they were conditioned.
- the elephant will be taken to a river
- will be beaten with sticks and chains to lie down
- when the elephant lies down they are washed
- then the saddle is tied around
- then they have to carry you against their wishes
- most of the times in terrains which are too very slippery
poor elephants
if you watch it happen you will neve take an elephant ride
