How To Be Positive For A Happy Healthy Life

Positive thinking should be a high priority if you are aiming to maintain a happy balanced life. So much can be achieved if a positive outlook is maintained, it can also be the difference between failure and success in all areas of life. If you are struggling to keep your thoughts positive here are some tips that will get you on the right path and help you to remove constant negative thoughts from your life.

  • Stay Away From The Complainers

Do your best to stay away from people who complain a lot. When you are in the company of complainers frequently it is very easy to become drawn into a sad story-swapping contest, with each person trying to prove that he/she has had the worst experiences. These conversations are very harmful to your thinking as you spend a great deal of time and energy focusing on negative situations, which can only serve to bring more negativity into your life

  • Have A Clean-out

Sometimes getting rid of the clutter in your life can help your thinking dramatically. Clearing yourself of the clutter in your home or your workspace can often help you to clear your mind and put things into perspective and focus.

  • Be Grateful

Remembering the people and things that you are grateful for is an excellent way of increasing your positive thoughts. Keep a gratitude journal and every day write down a few things that you are grateful for. Over a period of time you will find that instead of focusing on the bad, you will be remembering all the things in your life that you are thankful for, thus increasing your positive thoughts.

  • Help Others

No matter how bad your situation in life is there is always someone worse off than you. Try to spend some of your time helping those less fortunate than yourself; this will help to keep your minor worries in perspective.

  • Surround Yourself with Positive People

This is one of my personal favorites. Being around people that are joyous, positive and focused is one of the best things that you can do for yourself. These people will encourage you, uplift you and inspire you to do great things.

  • Look After Yourself

Taking care of your physical health is also great way to help you stay positive. If you are felling fit and healthy, and if you are happy with the way your look and feel it will be much easier for you to think positively about yourself.


Surround Yourself with Positive Sights and Sounds

Listening too and watching the daily atrocities that are served up on television and radio can be very damaging to your thoughts. The media knows that doom and gloom sells, so they bombard us with 24hrs a day 7days a week. I know that in order to stay up to date with currant affairs and news we have to listen to radios, buy newspapers or watch television, but is important to counteract all that negativity. Spend some time out doors, listen to some relaxing and uplifting music, go to the beach or take yourself off for a nice quite lunch somewhere remote and quite. The idea is to restore some balance; you want offset the onslaught of negativity with some peace, relaxation and inspiration.

  • Turn Challenges into Opportunities

Life in not always perfect, sometimes challenges will come your way. However these challenges are not really important, what is important though is how you handle them. When you run into an obstacle in life, try to see the opportunity as well. Do not dwell on what is wrong, focus your attention on solutions as well as what you can learn from having gone through that particular experience. In time you will no longer even see challenges you will only see opportunities.

  • Take Out The Trash

If you were to leave your garbage inside of the house and never take it out, you would soon find yourself over whelmed with all sorts of problems ranging from unbearable odors to infestations. So it is with your thoughts. When you find yourself having negative thoughts squash them immediately and shift your thinking to something more pleasant. Doing this will prevent all of your negativity from snowballing and crashing in on you at inopportune moments.

  • Adapt to change

Just as the sun rises and sets change eventually comes, but instead of being gripped by negative emotions like fear, look at the change as yet another opportunity to move forward to develop and learn.

  • Manage your time

Try to become more organized by managing your time more successfully. This will help to remove some of the pressure in your daily life and give you less things to think negatively about.

  • Set Goals

Setting goals is a great way to boost your positive thoughts because having a goal or a dream gives you something to look forward to, something to work towards and this in turn will raise your energy, focus and thoughts to a more positive level.

Putting some or all of these tips into practice will increase your positive thoughts, your energy and your outlook, and over time you will find that positive thoughts are second nature to you. It is just a matter or changing old habits and thought patters.

I really enjoyed reading the write up. Undoubtedly, we stand to gain a lot by positive thoughts. It is and a real key to successful living. And in having positive thoughts, we do not have to invest anything in terms of money. It is only a thought process which only needs to be created.
