Slow computer? Want to know how to make it run faster?

Your computer is just not as fast as it used to be isn't it? You want to make it run faster without wasting any money dont you? I will coach you step by step how to tweak up what windows should load before it starts up, the more programs that you have enabled to run at startup can greatly decrease your systems performance. Lets get started!  ( This tip is being done on windows vista, but can be done on xp as well. )

1. Click on the Vista logo

2. Type MSCONFIG in the search box and then either press enter on your keyboard or double-click on the MSCONFIG program that appears in the search results.

3. You'll see a box asking you if you would like to continue, click continue.

Ok, so now a window poped up called Sytem Configuration Utility, click on the Startup tab

Good job your almost done! Ok to make it simple, the programs that are checked are programs that are set to start up with windows, unchecking some of these programs will basically free up ur system memory. More memory = More speed! Becarefull what you uncheck, you may have an anti-virus program installed and you dont want to disable that from starting up with your computer. Look through carefully and see what programs you dont use and uncheck those programs. What if your using alot of these programs, you can still uncheck it, for example i got a bunch of mp3's that i listin too and use a program called Winamp, and its starting up with windows, I dont need it to be on constantly stealing my precious memory, so i uncheck it, remember its not going to remove the program from the computer it's just going to prevent it from starting up with windows. ( If you don't have a single clue whats what, here's a usefull site were you can enter the programs name and determine for yourself if you need it or not. http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php ) Click OK, and you'll get a window saying to restart windows, restart it. Thats it! your done! Windows now has more memory that it can use for the things you mostly use. So you'll see a big performance gain on how much faster windows takes to boot up.
