If you're looking to buy a used motor scooter you should first try your local classified. You can find a great many deals there without much effort. Your next choice should be online. Internet classifieds (Craigslist), online auctions (eBay), and forums are great locations to find sellers. You can even list what your budget is and what you're looking for on certain forums or Cragslist.

eBay is the biggest auction site online and a huge portion of online revenue goes through them which means they have a huge listing of used and new motor scooters posted by companies and individuals alike. When you buy items on eBay you should consider a few key tips which can apply to anything you buy on the site. Pay attention to the sellers rank when you are looking at different auctions and make sure they are ranked well with a good seller standing. If you deal with a brand new user or someone with only a little feedback your risk is higher than with an established seller as most would not want to risk their reputation. Fifty transactions or more transactions is usually a good indicator. If multiple auctions peek your interest click the "watch this item" button.

So once you have your list of auctions, pick the one that you think will be best for you and start bidding. Things to consider when choosing the right scooter are brand, design, MPG, miles driven, overall condition of the scooter, upkeep, and the location of the moped and whether or not it will have to be shipped. Use the "ask the seller a question" button if you can't find some of this information. Remember to bid on only one thing at a time, you don't want to win two at once if you only want one.
